Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high around 80 and some rain this evening. Not much going on here today. I'll probably spend most of the day doing some work on the computer. Then tonight I'll be watching the season finale of deadliest catch. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Great news, Christmas friends! My wife got the call this morning that she officially has a job teaching! What's even better is it is a job at the kids' school, so they can go with her and leave with her! My son is already dreading the fact that his mom will be there all the time. cheesy He's a good kid and NEVER gets in trouble at school, but it's just the thinking that it's not "cool to have your mom around," especially when you're a tough, old third grader. I told my wife she should give him a big ol' kiss every morning and refer to him as "baby boy" or something (just kidding, that would be mean). But it's such wonderful news and we're very excited...answered prayer!

I hope you all are doing great. Late July has returned to the Sooner State and it's hot here! Only going to be hotter, back to normal, and we'll be pushing 100 before the week's end!

Thinking of you all, as I do this time every day.

There's still remodeling going on in our office building, so there are always surprises. Late yesterday afternoon there was a very loud continuous "whoosh"-ing sound---we had to shout to each other to be heard. No one knew what it was or where it was coming from---it sounded like beneath the floor. We got an email this morning explaining that the contractors were sandblasting on the floors below. A prospective tenant saw the exposed 1901 brick walls on our floor, and decided they wanted the same look---so they were sandblasting through to expose the brick! Well, our head guy persuaded them to wait until after 6 p.m. from now on to do their sandblasting! Wonder what today will bring?

I had another good meeting today, and was offered a position with this company too. Now I have a lot to consider. They sent me home with a lot of paperwork to review, so much more than the first broker. I've started a comparison of the two firms. I was hoping this would be much easier!

It is beautiful outside, we just went on a nice walk. The rest of the week is going to be lower than normal temps, too. Awesome!

We just got in a little while ago. We were able to spend a lot of time with my in laws before they head back home tomorrow. I'm sad to see them go, I really enjoy their company. Good evening,

Wasn't I hear 18 hours ago before heading to work? I am still going, and trying to get caught up here. It was a slow day at work, so slow in fact I had to ask my 1st shifter to slow down to leave some work for my 2nd shifter. That is rare!!!
Looking forward to my day off tomorrow, we will probably just hang out here, but there was a mention of going out for ice cream.

I should probably shut down and head to the land of Nod.

I went to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow last night and slept for almost 12 hours straight. I so rarely do that, I feel really refreshed this morning!

With Monday behind us and 'Pines Day just ahead, we pause here at the "day between" to reflect on the growing -- dare I say looming -- proximity of our next Milestone.

Days to the Season: 106
Days to Christmas Day: 148
Now under a week away from the opening of the 100-day Season Window and the begining of a double-digit Season count.
(Geeze Louise! We just can't be this far along!)

Still the nice weather holds.
Can we make it to the weekend before the heat and mugginess return?
Time will tell.
For now, we begin the new day at 66 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina.

I'm trying to get my expired driver's license renewed, but I need my social security card. I can't find it. They say I need an un-expired driver's license to get a replacement social security card so I can get my driver's license. It's no wonder the government is in a mess. :?

Oh no! Hope it works out. I let mine expire one time (by accident...just didn't realize it was time to renew as I never actually look at my license) and had to get a birth certificate to show them.

You may try dropping Carl's name. That camel has some connections.
