Reading the posts about this tread made me realize, I pretty much only post in this thread. I do some other threads sometimes, but I'm pretty dedicated to the countdown thread. :smile: That being said, I should broaden my horizons a bit and check out other threads. What are some good ones?

Depends on taste. lots of time i spend out in the Media sections or the games post and of course i make a few threads as well.

Says the one that replies and post every 5-6 secs on this thread lol...

I still love you

LOL!!!! Yeah, well it's a lot easier when you're unemployed. Once I find a new job and join the real world again, you won't see me as much.

Carl is taking advantage of his new found fame. He has this logo on all kinds of products in the pines gift shop today-

I know you want a job, and I want you to fine one, but it will be a sad day on MMC my friend.

Check out the Christmas Library sometime ... lots of articles. The Videos are good. Wander through the photo albums and blogs. Don't forget the Merry Podcasts! There's just endless stuff to explore. And that's just on MMC. Then there are all the sister websites of the Merry Network. Exploring everything would be a new hobby!

Hey SF, they sure did and it looks like they have a couple of new items as well out ther on display...

Their main isles were about half set up with Halloween stuff and they had alot of regular stuff that they are trying to get rid of to make room for the halloween decorations, marked down 70%... Time to go shopping!!!!

Wow!! September seems a little late for a craft store.

I agree!! :/ They said they get a very limited supply and there's a lot of collectors around here, so once it's gone it's gone so they try not to put it out too early. Hopefully the girl just didn't know what she was talking about! :)

WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS by
Mame:
Haul out the holly;
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again.
Fill up the stocking,
I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now.
For we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute.
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;
So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.
For I've grown a little leaner,
Grown a little colder,
Grown a little sadder,
Grown a little older,
All:
And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder,
Need a little Christmas now.
Mame:
Haul out the holly;
Well, once I taught you all to live each living day.
All:
Fill up the stocking,
Young Patrick:
But Auntie Man, it's one week from Thanksgiving Day now.
All:
But we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute.
Agnes:
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;
Ito:
So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
All:
Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.
For we need a little music,
Need a little laughter,
Need a little singing
Ringing through the rafter,
And we need a little snappy
"Happy ever after,"
Need a little Christmas now.
Need a little Christmas now.

Thanks for the reminder! I always enjoy getting that, too. The articles and other features are fun. It's one of the signposts that summer is passing into fall.

Glad I'm not the only one. I do fear one day that it will be gone with technology becoming more and more a less paper world. Something like this with the history it has it would not be the same.

Love this little song - a unique combination of the upbeat, yet with a slightly melancholy sentimental component.
I regard it as the last song of the golden era of Christmas music and also it is the only classic song whos writer (Jerry Herman, age 82 now) is still alive.

Thanks for posting the lyrics.

No Problem at all and yes it is a great upbeat and well rounded song. Not sure if i first feel in love with it from the Yogi First Christmas that i saw in the 70's or if it was the first time i saw the Radio City Christmas live.
