WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS by
Mame:
Haul out the holly;
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again.
Fill up the stocking,
I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now.
For we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute.
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;
So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.
For I've grown a little leaner,
Grown a little colder,
Grown a little sadder,
Grown a little older,
All:
And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder,
Need a little Christmas now.
Mame:
Haul out the holly;
Well, once I taught you all to live each living day.
All:
Fill up the stocking,
Young Patrick:
But Auntie Man, it's one week from Thanksgiving Day now.
All:
But we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute.
Agnes:
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;
Ito:
So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
All:
Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.
For we need a little music,
Need a little laughter,
Need a little singing
Ringing through the rafter,
And we need a little snappy
"Happy ever after,"
Need a little Christmas now.
Need a little Christmas now.

I love this song. What's funny is I didn't really like it for the longest time. However, after the tornadoes and some other things that have recently happened, I had this song in my head for weeks. I downloaded a version and listened to it, marking the earliest I think I've ever listened to Christmas music (I usually try to wait at least until October, with varying degrees of success). Because I needed some Christmas, I put some other holiday songs in my rotation. I particularly had the part I highlighted in red stuck in my head. This is a year where I really needed some Christmas now!

Thanks for sharing. A great song that I have a newfound appreciation for!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!

Snowflake, congratulations on the second job offer!

HMG, your aunt and Bella are still in my prayers!

Ryan, congratulations to your wife on her job!

track, I hope you are better! I love Indiana Jones, too!

Christmasstar, LittleCS is still in my prayers!

Made, I hope your nieces enjoy their first day of school!

It was a long, but productive day yesterday. I spent the morning and part of the afternoon looking for stock for the store - success! My cousin bought me a late lunch for my birthday - that was nice. I ended up hanging out at her house, trying to get things updated via her wi-fi, until late evening. Treated myself to a coconut/chocolate malt - oh, my, that was so good!!! When I got home, Palmer gave me a big hug and stayed close by for the rest of the night. I guess she missed me. :D

I am still working on stock today - sometimes it takes a long time to get things ready for sale what with cleaning and researching. Big day at the store Saturday when I change displays around - it should be fun!

Be MERRY!!!

Good Morning all my wonderful friends. Woke up extra early today and seem to busting with energy so hope it stays like this all day. Really not lots to talk about other than Harper is becoming more and more the little chatter box now that we threw away all but one binks.
LOL< I did a double take on this post, you see our Prime Minister's name is Harper. Just picturing you taking away all his "binks" and what his reaction might be!

Hope you manage to get one friend!!

Thanks, buddy!!

I just stopped by & they weren't out. I know they are out a lot of other stores, though. Besides what xmastidings shared, A girl I follow on Instagram posted pics from her local store.

Fingers crossed!

If you can't find it up there, let me know. I'll look here.

The official high today was 74. That makes 8 days in a row that we have been below 80 degree's. That ties a 142 year old record for July. The new long range forecast for August also shows us below normal!!!! I'm loving it!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a rainy dreary day here with a high near 80. It is back to school day here in central Inday. So I got up early to call my niece's and tell them good luck. My youngest niece isn't to sure about this whole all day kindergarten but hopefully she has fun when she gets there. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
school here will not start until September 3.
Hope the girls have a great day!

So since it is so nice out today I think after dinner me and the wife will take out Baby Harper for a nice walk. It would make it so much better if it was fall the leaves were changing and we had a few nice hot cups of Starbucks Pumpkin spice Lattes.

Thanks!!! I just talked to them and they seemed to have fun!!! My youngest niece was wore out though. She was passes out within 5 minutes of being home.

I'm glad they had fun!
