Good evening!
I am going to turn in soon. Just trying to unwind for a few minutes. My husband is very cranky tonight, the hot tub doesn't seem to be working. My oldest had a lot of people here last night which probably had something to do with it. Who knows what they did. My husband will figure it out, he always does. He is just annoyed because he has so much going on with the construction in the house, he doesn't need more work. And my youngest had friends over tonight, we had to keep telling them to keep it down. When its summer vacation they seem to forget that people have to get up early and go to work during the week. They are making us crazy this summer, never a dull moment here.
Anyway, I got my truck back and they did a great job detailing it. I didn't realize how filthy it was until I got the car back. Of course its going to rain tomorrow, lol. But the good news is the temperatures will only be in the 70's. Not bad for August 1st.
I hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Cant believe it is August, it will be fall before you know it then we can have those wonderful autumn smells, cider and the warm up for Christmas

Good evening,

I am so confused, I keep thinking it is Thursday because I worked early on a Wednesday.

July is just about over, now it is time for what I feel is the longest month of the year.

Anyone seen any Christmas magazines yet?

I usually see them before the end of July, but nothing yet this year here.

I hope you all had a great Pines day.

Good night all!!!

Yea, I was the same way, I was all screwed up yesterday, I kept on thinking that it was Thursday all day! Wishful thinking huh....

Yea buddy...I'm with you on that one~

Nope, not yet here on my end, but the Fall and Halloween stuff is starting to roll in, big time.:-D

Do some fun and games, George Broderick really gets me laughing with some of his responses. I use to only do Fun & Games before I became a regular in the Countdown. I am trying to do them more again lately, because I have missed them a bit.

Yea, George is a scream with some of his responses, he's quick on the draw (as they say), I miss seeing his posts.

I used to do alot of the games as well and I have not visited that section of the Forums too much lately. I should get back there once in awhile just to break things up a bit....and say Hi to George as well.

You know, speaking of George, have you ever been to his website, he is a fantastic cartoonist, his work is unbelievable good; I was totally blown away with his abilities...

I have to tell you about how much of an impact things here at the MMC forums can rub off on your daily life... Here I was at Michaels the other day and I walk past an isle that had Crayola products in it. On one of the shelves was a kit where you can make a Polar Bear, (I thought to myself that Louanne would have loved that).

Then as I was walking thru the store as a whole, I caught myself saying out loud as I walked past certain items; "glitter" and "glitter - drink", LOL... This is the truth! Lisa even heard me and she goes, "what are you saying???" I just started laughing to myself as I started to head to the isle where all the Halloween stuff was set up...:witch:

Good Morning, new month Folks.
(August already. Unbelievable!)

Continuing on through our count.
Onward and downward to our remaining Milestones and then the start of Christmas Season 2013!

Days to the Season: 104
Days to Christmas Day: 146
Just over half a week left now until the 100-day Season Window arrives.
(Getting mighty close, my Friends!)

Still we cling to the nice-for-July weather.
Hopefully, it will last on through to the weekend.
We have 72 degrees here currently on our back door thermometer.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everybody.
Weekend Eve once again tomorrow, you know!

I haven't noticed any yet. But I will be on the lookout this weekend while we are on our shopping spree:)

woot tomorrow is August and that means only a few more days left till "The Old Farmers Almanac" comes out. It always ships out in August and ive collected for about 30 years now. Cant wait.

Nice; I've been doing the very same thing with the "Hagerstown Town and Country Almanac". I've been saving each copy, for about 20 years now. I re-new a subscription for myself and my grandfather every three years...

Good morning all!! It is a little cooler this morning here in North Carolina, hope it last.

I'm off first thing this morning to take the oldest DS to the dentist and a quick stop at the store. Then I think I can stay home for the rest of the day, that would be great.

August is here which means we are getting closer to my favorite time of the year. I will be so glad when summer is over, I'm wanting to change my decor to the warm/cozy fall colors.:pumpkin:

Well better get moving. Have a grand day everyone:hi:

what a blessing that your kids friends want to hang out at your home, to often young people take off and hang out around town, or who know where, board with nothing to do. You have provided a safe place for them to meet and have fun. Better crazy at home knowing what they are up to than missing sleep wondering where they are.

It is only 51 days untill the first day of Fall..... September 22nd!!! Yea...:razz::razz:

Hi everyone, hope you all are having a good week. We had a good time at teh Science museum on Monday . It started raining heavily as soon as we parked the car so luckily it was a day indoors. On tuesday we visited the Sealife centre and the Lego Discovery centre. The Sealife centre was amazing. The sharks and the mantarays were wonderful to watch. Yesterday we relaxed at home, well the kids did anyway. My hubby and I put up a new fence in the back garden all by ourselves!
