Good morning!
It was barely 70 degrees when I woke up this morning so I decided to open up the doors and windows to let some fresh air in. There is some kind of road work going on around the corner and it is so loud! So I put the air conditoner back on. Its going to warm up to the upper 80's today anyway.
I am heading out to run a few errands. I need to go to the pet store, CVS and the butcher. No big plans for today. I'm hoping to have time this afternoon to do something Christmassy. I would like to go to Hallmark, I would love to pick up another ornament that is on my wish list. And I want to get to the Christmas Tree Shop and see what they have out.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Good evening!
I'm almost ready to go to sleep, just waiting for my youngest to get in. I got a break tonight, she has a ride home!
I had a nice visit with my parents and my brother today. My mom and dad are heading back to Pennsylvania tomorrow. The summer is flying by and they want to spend as much time there as they can. Once the cooler temperatures set in they close the place up. And that is right around the corner.
I heard our Christmas Tree Shop is finally putting out the Christmas decor. I hope I can make it in there soon and check it out for myself!
Goodnight everyone, sweet dreams.

Hello everyone. Well, not much is going on here...ready for the weekend to officially start! If we can get into the school, we may go work on my wife's new classroom this weekend. My daughter wants to go to the park tomorrow, but we'll have to go early. It's supposed to be around 100 with a heat index of a few degrees higher, so we won't be there in the middle of the day! My kids don't understand why we won't let them play outside long in that kind of heat. It is easy to get sick in a hurry out there.

Other than that, my wife is saying she'll be turning in early tonight as she's very tired. So, I have a night of movie watching lined up. Y'all have a good weekend.

Stay cool!!

Hope your wife can get in to the school this weekend, I bet she's so excited to decorate her classroom =]

Enjoy your movie marathon!!

A happy and speedy Friday to all my favorite people! (Yes, that's YOU!)

Something is giving me mild/moderate allergy symptoms---sneezing, itchy nose, itchy eyes, itchy throat, etc.---but our pollen and mold spore counts are low here. It's a mystery. Nothing new in the home or work environment that I can think of. Anybody here wearing a different cologne or aftershave? cheesy

Could it be dust from construction? I know that used to bother me when I worked for a general contractor.

Hope your allergies go away & let you enjoy the weekend!!

Happy Friday =]

I had a buddy of mine sent this to me, thought I would share with everyone so that you have time to prepare....

Holiday Eating Tips

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy.
Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's.
You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or, if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention.

Reread tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

Remember this motto to live by:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Haha!! LOVE this!!!!! ;)

Good morning everyone!!!!!! Just when I thought I had a day to stay home and relax..........got a phone call last night. Youngest DS"s coach called and said he got permission from the school board to start football practice early, so today I have to go get DS physical and get him some cleats. I already had an appt to get his physical and then was going to get his cleats after that, but that is in 10 days so that won't work.

So it's off to the dr and then to Dick's sporting goods. I do need to bake a pound cake tonight for a going away party tomm night.

Hopefully I won't have anymore surprises:)

Hope everyone has a grand day:razz:

You'll be busy ;)

Hope all goes well, and that you & your family have a nice weekend!!

It's not bad, Star. I bet you look very nice. But, does it work like the redder the hair is the worse your temper is? My son's a redhead, and his temper isn't too bad, and I think the old temper stereotype is just an old wives tale.

I agree!! My hair is a strawberry blonde, now, and was more auburn as a child. My Dad said I was the sweetest kid-was, LOL!!

Seriously, I like it CS!!

But, if you don't, go back to your stylist & have her make it right for you. Ask her for her color book, and point out the red that you had in mind.

Good morning, friends!!

TGIF!!

It's going to be sunny & gorgeous today, with a high of 80°.

It's going to be a busy day, as well!! Harlowe's groomer is stopping by for a visit, and I need to get back to my paperwork. Then, I'll have to run into the office to meet with the staff to see what else I need to take with me to the Realtor Board.

After that, celebrate with my birthday boy!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

xx

Thanks, snowflake! That's the most likely culprit ... then again, they've been remodeling the office building since June, and it didn't start to bother me until yesterday ... and I'm affected at home, too. (That could be due to unknowingly carrying dust home on my clothing or backpack, I guess.) If it eases up over the weekend, it's probably from the construction. Anyway, I'm working on it with Claritin and NasalCrom.

I look like a Christmas decoration!

I don't want to know what there idea of red is then!!

It's not that bad, though!!!! I'm sure it will fade after a couple of days.
