Hello everyone. Well, not much is going on here...ready for the weekend to officially start! If we can get into the school, we may go work on my wife's new classroom this weekend. My daughter wants to go to the park tomorrow, but we'll have to go early. It's supposed to be around 100 with a heat index of a few degrees higher, so we won't be there in the middle of the day! My kids don't understand why we won't let them play outside long in that kind of heat. It is easy to get sick in a hurry out there.

Other than that, my wife is saying she'll be turning in early tonight as she's very tired. So, I have a night of movie watching lined up. Y'all have a good weekend.

Stay cool and safe!!!!!

It's going to be sunny & gorgeous today, with a high of 80°.

It's going to be a busy day, as well!! Harlowe's groomer is stopping by for a visit, and I need to get back to my paperwork. Then, I'll have to run into the office to meet with the staff to see what else I need to take with me to the Realtor Board.

After that, celebrate with my birthday boy!!

I hope you can get the paperwork done today so you can enjoy your weekend!!!

Have Fun my friend!!!!!!!!

Thanks a bunch friend. Hope you can find the laptop you want and need and that you enjoy the b-day celebration time.,

Thank you!! =]

And with this post, Ryan is poster #34,000. For his efforts and for his seeming to want lower temps, he wins a thermometer set constantly at 70 degrees!!! Now he can brag about the weather anytime he wants, LOL!

What a GREAT gift!!!

Does she want another cat, Holiday? We want another cat since Baby is gone, but we are going to wait until the remodeling is completed on the house. Would she go to the animal shelter to get one? Praying for her. Her loss is real, as I am sure you know.

She does want another cat. It took her a little time to mourn the loss of Gabby (the cat she had to put down) - Gabby was always my brother Mikes cat. My SIL feels Gabby got sick b/c she missed Mike so much. :( Anyway - she wants a cat before fall to snuggle with when the weather is getting cooler. We took her to Sicsa last Friday - which is a shelter for cats & dogs. She found one she liked - her name is Boo - so hopefully she will decide soon to go get Boo or find one to bring home! I hope you find one too as soon as your remodeling is done!!!

And here is Boo:

In case you cannot hear it in my "voice," the Vitamin B-12 regimen that I started made the biggest difference in my energy level. I have finally caught up on my share of the remodeling "chores" that I was not able to do the past two weeks. I feel human once again.

This made me SMILE!! So glad to hear you are feeling better!!!

Okay, now for "The Rest of the Story" that I discovered in Reno regarding Carl:

Have you ever had the feeling that you were being watched? Sort of like the hairs on the back of your neck standing out? Well, when we went to our first meeting at the Reno Convention Center, I had that feeling. I looked around and didn't see anyone or anything suspicious. The feeling continued. I looked around again, and then finally looked up. There on a marquee was a picture of Carl, almost as if he were looking over my shoulder. The photo rotated throughout the day--no words, no explanation, just the picture.

When we got back to the hotel, there was a Reno magazine; and I read all about Carl and his double life. On page 20 of the Summer 2013 edition of the Reno/Tahoe magazine, there is a picture of Carl, his family, and his friends with the following information: "Virginia City Camel Races, September 6-September 8. Who would have thought that camels actually race? Come see for yourself in Virginia City where these amazing animals really do race across the desert sand! Take a ride yourself around the track for a small fee, or view the ostriches that also make an appearance. Make a day of it and experience everything this special town has to offer with great food and drink and specialty shops along Main Street. (Web Site) visitvirginiacitynv.com"

I did not see any mention of fired Twinkies so I am unsure what the "great food and drink" consists of. Maybe Carl uses the leftovers from the Pines. Someone needs to question Carl at the next Pines Day. I am wondering if Carl uses us as his guinea pigs on what to serve on "Race Day," or does he use the refreshments from Race Day to determine what to serve at the Pines. Pretty eerie!

I want to go!!!!!! That Carl! We are definately the guinea pigs!!! Won't he be surprised when we all show up there!! HA!

Hi the week is almost over, I hope you all are having a good one. Just got back from a drive up to a nature reserve where there is also a resovouir. Its not far from here so it was a great quick escape for a couple hours.

Anyway sorry I'm only popping in very quickly to wish you all a very nice day !

That sounds wonderful!!

Have a great weekend, Festive Spirit!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be an okay day here with a high near 80 and some rain moving in this evening. I've already been to the grocery store, walmart, and hobby lobby. So I'm doing good today. I went to take some pictures at hobby lobby but my phone was dead. That's the bad thing about never using it. I never think about plugging it in to charge either. Now I need to get a few things done around the apartment before my sister drops my niece's off after school for me to babysit for a few hours. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

I just did a quick scan of the posts, so if I missed anybody sorry!!

Praying for you all and hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

What's on the program, Ryan?

I am having computer issues, as I’ve tried responding to this post several times but keep receiving an error message. So, if my other attempts show up and this is a repeat post, I apologize.
It looks like I’m heading out west this weekend. For my birthday, my wife bought be a DVD set of Universal Westerns from the 1950s (the artwork inside the case is amazing and I would love to have it as a standalone piece!). One of my favorites, Backlash, is on the set. It was previously not available on DVD, so I am very excited to have it. I think I will try Dawn at Socorro as I have not seen that one.
I also received a set of Monogram B-Westerns (released by the Warner Brothers Vault). Several have Johnny Mack Brown and I might watch one of those, too. If need be, I also have an old Tim Holt B-picture on my DVR waiting.
Are you and Mr. going to watch anything this weekend?

Good luck to your son! What position is he playing?

This will be his first year playing at the middle school level. He will most likely be on the line, either offense or defense. He is a a big boy:)

You sure are busy! How old are your kids mommyby3?

HomemakinGirl my kids are 15,12 and 11!!!!! So it's never boring, just wish it would slow down some:razz:

Some days I don't know how people can do it with 3 kids.. Baby Harper keeps me on my toes like crazy and she is still a just 17 months old lol

I do it all by myself. I've been a single mom for the last 4 years after getting us out of a very abusive marriage. It's hard sometimes but it's 1000 times better than it was before. Now I can do what I want when I want:???:

Sounds like a good show! I'm not well-read on Westerns, but I recognize the names. And Mr. is a big fan of Monogram (in general, not just Westerns).

I'm sure we'll be watching something, but I don't know what yet. We've been watching chapters of a Rin-Tin-Tin serial from about 1930, but the transfer is SO bad I can hardly stand it, so I haven't been paying much attention to it. Outside of Rinty, Frankie Darro is the best thing in it.

Sorry to hear about the sisutation you and the kids were in but so glad you could leave it. So many people will stay and never escape and it is so sad.

Here is two updated pictures of Harper. First is her first ice cream cone, second she is trying to feed her baby Cailiou (cai cai she calls him).. Sorry its so big, i should have edited the size lol

Good afternoon!!

How are you, my friends?

I am pretty well.

I accepted an offer & met with my new company this morning. I took the paperwork home, and am working on it now.

I have quite a bit of start up costs & fees, and a lot of learning to do. Excited & overwhelmed!!!

One day at a time!!

Adrian's birthday is tomorrow, and we have some friends coming to town to help him celebrate. Should be fun.

I stopped by Michael's and talked to a different associate, and she said that the Spooky Town village would be up by the end of the weekend. Yay =] maybe the other lady was talking about the Christmas village?

What are your weekend plans?

Hope you're all having a blessed day!!

xx

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Good luck!!! You will do GREAT!! Happy Birthday to Adrian! I know you all will have FUN!!! ENJOY!!

This weekend we have 2 retirement parties at the lake (together) Saturday. I am so excited to give the 1 lady her gift certificate for a new bicycle - we all threw money in together to get her a gift cert to the bike shop! She is going to flip!! Sunday we are having a "cookout" (actually my Dad is smoking a turkey) at my brothers for my parents SIXTY SECOND wedding anniversary!!! YAY!!!
:give:

I will be going to Chico, so I plan to stop in at Michael's. I will definitely look for the Halloween and Christmas stuff. Another reason I have to Chico is to visit my friend in the hospital there. She was going out her back door to feed her cats Tuesday morning and misjudged the steps, fell, and shattered her hip. She had surgery yesterday and will be in the hospital at least until Saturday or Sunday. Then she will be transferred for six weeks to a rehab hospital. So sad--she has no insurance and works part time in the school cafeteria and part time tutoring. So for six weeks, she will be without pay. I told Hubby that we will have to help her when she gets home. I am going to pay her rent until she can go back to work so she doesn't stress herself out. I wish I could do more.

We have some problems in our church. It seems there is a small group of parishioners that do not like our new priest. They brought a lawsuit against him and want to replace him. There was a meeting Tuesday night and that (small) group were so mean and conniving that he ultimately "resigned." What a mistake. This small group somehow believes they will get an English-speaking priest that will kowtow to their every whim. So, so sad. There are not a lot of English-speaking priests in our Diocese. I don't know how this group expects to get a priest now. It remains to be seen what the ultimate repercussions will be. I have never seen anything like this!

That is soooooo nice of you to pay your friends rent! What a good friend! Sorry to hear she shattered her hip. Wishing her a speedy recovery!!!
Sad to hear about your church too! We even have a non english speaking priest at a local church here in the middle of Ohio...so yep, Priests are numbered. Praying for you all!

She is in my prayers, Holiday!

Thank you Meceka!

I'm president of my DD's school's band boosters. We are trying to come up with some fundraiser ideas for the school year. Plus I need to make up a flyer for the school's open house so all the 6th grade band parents know when and where our meetings are.
I'm also DD's soccer club team rep, so I have to attend the monthly board meeting so that is Monday night so I need to be ready for it too.

And to top everything off I got an email from oldest DS's high school asking me to join the athletic boosters this year. Anybody know how to clone yourself:)

Well I hope everyone has had a grand day. Enjoy your evening!!!

Funny how they always seem to ask the people who are already involved in everything!! They know you wont' say "no"! Good luck!!

I just went for a walk and then sat outsdie for an hour. It was beautiful out!!! Felt more like late September than the first day of August.

I'm starting to get use to these temps...

So Sunday it looks that Stephen Moffit has decided to do a Who the next Dr. will be on Dr. WHO. This of course does not surprise me one bit. They were hoping to wait for the Dr. WHo Christmas special to announce the new doctor but with the way Technology is nothing stays secret for long.

Does any Dr. Who fans here have any suggestion who it will be? Currently only a few actors that i could see could fufill that roll and do a decent job. This morning when i was reading and article read some of the comments people made and one of them was the best ever suggestion "Rowan Atkinson". WHich did his own spoof a while back.

I wish David Tennant would return!!
