Well I can officially say that I have finished shopping for one person on my Christmas list. I just ordered all 8 seasons of Full House for my niece in Seattle off of amazon. She has been obsessed with it on tv here lately and keeps complaining because they show the same one's over and over. So now she will be set.

Ryan, who are your favorite authors?

I'm a huge fan of the late () Vince Flynn. I also like Robert Crais, Loren Estleman, Robert Parker, and other mystery authors. And, because there's apparently an 85 year old man who lives inside of me, I read a lot of westerns. I also read quite a bit of nonfiction.

I was no stranger to Fully House, either, back in the late '80s and early '90s. Hope she likes it!

Hmmm...I wonder what she will be doing over Christmas vacation.

You are definitely a thoughtful uncle!

I like Patterson, Crais, Patricia Cornwell, all the Reacher books, Tami Hoag, Joanne Fluke, Lisa Unger, Gregg Olsen, Kevin O'Brien, Iris Johansen, CJ Box, Linda Fsairstein, JA Jance, Linda Castillo, Lisa Jackson, Jeffery Deaver, John Sanford, Kellerman, Wendy Corsi Staub, Harlan Coben, and a ton of others, LOL

Your bike ride sounds daunting to me! I think my 66-year-old legs would give out; or my big behind would protest those teeny tiny seats. Are there any tractor seats, LOL???

Oooo! I love the idea of the Boy Scout dinner. Can you tell me more about how that was set up? Hubby and I do a lot of work with Scouts through the Elks Lodge, and we are always trying to think of things to help them earn money. We do put on a barrel-cooked pork loin dinner and the Boy Scouts serve, the Cub Scouts take care of making sure water pitchers are on the table and help with clean-up, and the Girl Scouts sell bake sale items. I think we charge $10 a plate. The past several years, the sales from the dinners has been right around $2400 and we have donated a third to each branch of the Scouts. That way, they automatically have over $800 in their treasury. (We are a small town of around 6000 people.) We love to do things like that!

Cloud Nine does make some pretty big bicycle seats! We call them BAS (Big A** Seats) Hee hee heee!

There is a restaurant about 15 miles from us that does this quite often for different groups/charities. They have all their regular kitchen help (and some regular waiters/waitress) but people from the group/charity take all the orders, bring out your drinks, ask if everything is ok. Last night we knew Pat was going to be there, so we told them we wanted to sit in Pats section when we got there. He had told us about it & told us to come & he would serve us. They kind of spread the word to their family & friends, but the business is just open as usual. He forgot several things & had to come back out- like this meal has 2 sides with it & he only took an order for 1 side, he forgot to ask his wife what kind of salad dressing, forgot to ask my sister soup or salad, etc. We had a ball with him! Good fun, good cause! I bet the kitchen help dreads those nights. Ha ha ha! ;-)

Our dinner was spectacular! The lady who catered it is well known for her fried chicken that is so moist that you never want the meal to end! Her mashed potatoes are wonderful, as is her gravy. The green beans were seasoned just right! I loved the salad with ripe grape tomatoes that were home-grown. I had to waddle out. Hmmm. Maybe I SHOULD go on that bike ride!!!

Come along!! :D

Hello everyone! My daughters doctor appointment took longer than I expected it to this morning. I am now trying to catch up with some chores and I still need to run a couple errands. I think I'm going to head out in few minutes, I just needed a quick coffee break. We are expecting rain, possibly heavy so I want to go and come back home. I also feel a headache coming on, I'm hoping I could sneak a nap in this afternoon.
I hope everyone is well and having a happy Friday!!!

I hope your headache never appeared!!! Have a good rest of your day!

AWESOME! This show was on Sunday morning at the lake. Our neighbors 5 yo & 3 yo just love it. They were glued to the tv! And the other neighbors grandson was there too - who is 11 & he said it's his favorite show. Too funny! It was a good one!! Great gift!

Guilty Pleasure Announcement of the Day

I watch Honey Boo Boo....weekly.

#blamesugar

Ohhh please. You could blame Real Houswives or the Kardashians on me, but not that show.

Oh no!!!!! I could take Real House Wives but not Honey Boo Boo!!!

I'm going have to have a talk with Sugar about this one. LOL!!!

We should watch Real Houswives together and have a viewing party on Facebook :)

Okay...maybe not - just a thought!

Okay, I'm in!!! Just so I can see your comments!!!! LOL!!!!

Good evening!
I hope everyone is doing well.
I'm trying to stay awake, I think my youngest is going to need a ride home tonight. And I'm waiting for my oldest to come in from work. She was promoted to a manager postition at her job and is closing the store tonight. It will just be her and one sales associate. She was kind of nervous but I know she will do great.
Not too much going on here. I decided to give Molly and Maggie a bath. I don't usually give them baths, they go to the groomer every month. But they chased a squirrel in the yard earlier and they ran under some shrubs. I was afraid they got dirty and wanted to make sure they were clean, especially since they sleep in my bed!
My husband is working on the wood floors again tonight. His goal is to have the kitchen and dining room finished. Then it will be two rooms down, two more to go.
I hope everyone is enjoying their evening!

Congrats to your daughter on the promotion!
