Lucky! Can I come? :) my wife doesn't camp so it's been a long time since I've gone.

Sure!!!! I'm going light though. No tent and no sleeping bag. Just a hammock and light blanket.

It cleared up a bit last night so I went out. I did not see any shooting stars, but I wasn't outside very long as the bats were flying too close for comfort! Did you have any luck spotting any? Yes, I am very busy with the garden - it is fun at times, esp. when I try out new recipes.

I saw one as soon as we took off on our walk at the lake this morning. Since it's still dark at 5:30 (grrrr!) I could see it! LOL!!

I'm just going on a quick overnight camping trip tomorrow.

I'm going to be somewhere around the Allens Creek State Recreation Area.

Have a GREAT time!!!

Good evening, friends~

The trip to the Twin Cities was interesting, bad fog just about the whole way there- left little visibility. Ahhhh!

The classes were okay, gave me a lot of things to think about.

It has been a long day!! Thinking of you all and sending lots of love your way!!

I need to crash early, I have our weekly meeting in the morning.

Have a great night!

xx

Ooh, driving in fog is the pits! Glad you made it safe. I just heard an old wives tale this morning that the # of foggy mornings we have in August - that's the # of heavy snowfalls we will have in the winter?? I had never heard that before. We could be in trouble if there is any truth to that!!! Hope your meeting goes well tomorrow!! Sleep tight!

That's "roughing it"

Ryan - prayers going up!!!

Welcome back Brad!!

That would be great...just sitting around the camp fire talking, watching stars.

I love cooking breakfast over the camp fire!

Nah, if I was roughing it, I would only take my knife and canteen. I decided it wasn't worth all of the effort to build my own shelter and everything for one night though.

Yep!!! I've been longing for the smell of a campfire.

Camping sounds nice....what's the temps like there, Made?

There is a cold front coming through tonight so the high's are going to be in the mid 70's and low's in mid 50's. Perfect!!!!

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I usually make my main post earlier in the day, but after having been out of the office for a week, I was slammed with emails and post-it notes that demanded immediate attention. I'm finally caught up.

We had a great vacation! We got home yesterday afternoon about 6pm. It was 92° and 100% humidity. Yikes, it never got over 78° in Maggie Valley last week! I wanted to give Mgramsey a call to meet for a cup of coffee while I was in the neighborhood, but my family kept me on the run all week.

Still, it was good to see Bellville. A week is about as much time away from home as I want at one time. And it's good to have full-time access to MMC, too!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Glad you had a great vacation!

Good evening, MMC!

I have to make dinner and then do the dishes but after that, I intend to spend the rest of the evening reading until it is dark enough out to look for shooting stars. A little Vince Guaraldi Trio will be my accompaniment. cheesy

Goodnight and MERRY dreams!!!

That sounds wonderful Meceka, enjoy your evening!

Butter pecan ice-cream.....yummy.....that's Wifey's favorite!

My favorite is cookies and cream....I love a cookies and cream milkshake from Baskin Robbins.....

We went to sonic to get a blast.....storm went through a couple of hours earlier....they couldn't serve us ice-cream....just my luck!

High here this weekend is supposed to be 71 degrees...perfect weather for sitting on the deck and drinking coffee....
