Good Friday morning everyone! Just about ready to go out and face the traffic and get to work on this last day before the 3 day weekend! Our company is flying in at noon so they should be here by the time I get back at 330. This is the unofficial end of summer weekend, but we still have a few more weeks until the "real" fall weather starts I'm sure. if I was still in Ga I would be having 2 more months before the cool weather comes. Me and brandi have bets (not real ones with $$)on when the first leaves will change, and the first flakes will fly. I say sept 15th for the leaves and October 19th for the first dusting of snow. I just love when the seasons change, especially from summer to fall to winter!!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend. ANd the ones that are traveling whether by car plane, or train I hope you are all very careful! Get out there and swim, hike, boat....anything but just savor the last of summer!!!

Whew....I woke up Monday morning and hit the ground running...I got home at 5:00 today and haven't been out of my chair since....

Tomorrow we have a dr. appointment...excited. Sunday we are going to go baby shopping and put the finishing touches on the room. I dreamed both nights last weekend that the baby was born tomorrow...when I walked into the buidling Monday, one of my friends ran up to me and said "I dreamed the baby was born on my birthday...my birthday is Friday." I about passed out.

The anticipation is building and it's dominating my thoughts...can someone please tell me how to handle the anticipation because it's driving me CrAzY!!!!!

Hey Coach!!! I know this last month is so grueling! I know that is how I felt like at least the last 4 to 6 weeks. I just did not think of any thing else. That Is why I have to give all women such respect. I think there is no job any more important of that than moms and dads raising kids... anyway just be there for her and try to pass the time doing fun things. If she is due sept 23 you are out of the woods as far as it being a preemy . All I can tell you is take a deep breath and think of the baby after yalll come home and have a wonderful Christmas season this year as it will be baby's first one. You have so much to look forward to..you will make it! But I was nervous too I remember Xmas365 had to calm me down on here the last month of my first one too!.lol Good luck I am sure everything will be great. And Happy Birthday is it today or next Friday?

Been busy this week with our big Volksfest....our yearly Backfischfest. Food, drinks, rides and music.....been there yesterday with my cousin Frank, who came down from Hamburg.......I think I had one beer too much.....hahahaha....just one though, not worth be called a hangover

Sounds fun, track!! Glad you guys are having a great visit with Frank!

Don't try to contain it. You are about to enter the greatest time of your life. I am very jealous. Our son is now a senior in HS. I have loved the entire experience of being a parent. The bad part will be when he goes off to college next fall. I encourage you to listen to the Harry Chapin song "Cats in the Cradle". It is a great song for any dad to remember. Every time my son asked me to do something with him, that song would pop into my head. Spend as much time with your child as you can and cherish those times. They will be gone before you know it.

Stacey , I am so sorry to read that you are facing these obstacles. It must be very stressful for you and Adrian. Are their any online sites/forums for people in your business to share experience and advice? It would be great for you to hear from people who have been in similar situations, perhaps they can give you some advice. What about contacting fellow students who did the course with you, perhaps they can share their approach? I admire your determination and I think the supplemental income is a good idea. I know this is a very complex and hard situation to be in but hang in there a bit longer and don't give up without a fight if it's your dream. If things don't work out you will atleast take comfort knowing that you gave it your best shot. Thinking of you mate and praying that things are resolved. (((Big Hugs))xx

Hi Frosty nice to see you, we are just enjoying the final few days before school re opens. We have not watched any christmas films yet. Sounds like you are having alot of fun with the girls!

Hahahahahahaaha this made me laugh. Even I have to agree that The NOtebook is hardcore chick flick. Hope you made it through!

:) Unfortunatley this anticipation will only build as it gets closer . But your are managing it well by baby shopping and preparing. Enjoy every minute of it Coach and make sure you and the wife are getting alot of rest beforehand!

Thank you for the kind thoughts & advice, Sam!
I will look into an online forum, that's a great idea. The course I took was through the WI Realtors Association, and basically self-taught. You read the course materials & watch corresponding lectures on DVD, do the assignments, and take the quizzes & tests. So I missed out on the classroom experience, but it just worked out best while we were in the process of relocating from Nevada to Wisconsin. I'm sure there are good forums in general, though, regarding real estate. I am talking to some fellow agents in my company, and they are giving some tips as well. The reality, though, is that they sometimes struggle to break even, with necessary fees of the business, advertising for the client, marketing yourself, etc. It comes down to can we afford to continue to pay these bills? And will I be happy in the long term? It's a lot to figure out, but I am hopeful. In the least, I am proud of myself for taking the chance =]
Thank you again for your support xo

Good morning!
Oh my goodness, I miss all of you!
Its been almost a week since I last posted. My husband has been finishing the wood floors in the house. We borrowed our friends camper to stay in but I decided that wasn't going to work out. The girls and I packed up and brought the cats and dogs to my parents house. My parents went to their place in Pennsylvania so we could have the house to ourselves. They are the best, I am so thankful they did that for us. My husband told me that it would take about three or four days to finish the floors but it took longer. He probably should have planned on taking a couple of days off from work. It was a big job for him to do alone, especially when he only had the evenings to work on it. I am hoping and praying to be home tonight. I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I hope everyone is well. I will post pictures of the floors when I can. It will probably take me a couple of days to settle back in at home and get the house in order.
Take care and have a great day!

Snowflake, im sorry u have to go through this hard time....I will pray for You

Thank you, track!! I really appreciate that!

((Hugs)) to you, Kandice, and Stripey

Morning! It's Friday!

It's the last weekend before school reopens, I honestly do not know where the last few weeks have gone! I kind of feel a little sad that summer holidays are coming to an end. I am also thrilled that we are heading into autumn and the start of fall festivities! Mixed feelings are good though, it refreshes my spirit.

Not sure what our plans are for the weekend but hopefully quiet and layed back. I'm looking forward to the start of September. I have a couple more summer books to get through and then I will begin my autumn reading. For my birthday Mr. Festive gave me Bloomsbury first edition copies of the first two Harry Potter books to add to my collection. It 's inspired me to reread them and I always like doing so in autumn/winter. Harry Potter is an absolute favourite!

Happy Labour Day weekend to all of you celebrating! I bet you all have got some exciting and fun things planned. Have you got any Labour Day traditions? What are you looking forward to?

Enjoy your weekend, Sam!!

We are going to grill out, and possible drive to La Crosse to see my family. Not sure just yet. If not, I may meet my sister halfway for lunch in saturday. And Adrian plans to kayak from Eau Claire to La Crosse. That is making me kind of nervous, but he really wants to do it so I'm supporting him! Lol

Your first edition Harry Potter books sound like a wonderful tradition, especially for this time of year. Enjoy!!

I want to start reading a book that I ordered for this Fall season, called Murder for Halloween. It's a collection of suspense & short stories. Hope they are filled with mystery!

Hope you & yours have a lovely weekend!!

xo

TGIF everyone. Looking forward to the 3 day weekend. We will be heading to Myrtle Beach this afternoon. It is about a 7 hour drive for us. My brother and his family are taking our parents down. It is only about a 4 hour drive for them. All of us are staying at a house we rented for the holiday weekend. My mother is really looking forward to seeing the ocean probably for her last time. It will be a bitter/sweet stay.

I've killed 2 copperhead snakes the last 2 days. They were the first adult ones I've seen near the house this year. Can't wait until cooler weather with no bugs and/or snakes.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Ohhh, I hope you can snag that Santa! Photos if you do, please!

Good evening,

It was a long sllllloooooow day at work. Had 7 pallets come in so my body is tired, we will be getting ready for our tag sale after I get home tomorrow. A family down the street is having a GIANT tag sale (according to the sign on their lawn) Saturday (it is a town wide tag sale) and they have a blow mold Santa already set up to sell. I have my eye on that already! My wife says she will go down there tomorrow and snag it if she can, she use to be the kid's teacher so she may have some sway.

Just going to relax and head to bed soon.

Good night everyone.

Good morning, MMC!!

Happy Friday!!

Have a wonderful day & holiday weekend!!

Please stay cool & be safe~

Help! Calling all the guys! I need reinforcement and backup. My wife has come across The Notebook on tv. We have seen it before. But it's chick flick overload! Please send backup now! Can't...hold out...much longer...

Quick, if it's not too late, throw on some cowboy movies!

The anticipation is building and it's dominating my thoughts...can someone please tell me how to handle the anticipation because it's driving me CrAzY!!!!!

Hang on tight and enjoy the ride, Coach ... keep us posted, we're all waiting too!

Good morning MMC friends. Thanks for the support and kind words as I went through chick flick overload. Its a serious condition that inflicts millions of men each and every year, yet it seems to go unnoticed and misunderstood by many. Those of us who suffer with it know all too well the pain fellow brothers go through when the condition strikes them. So we will march on, silent no longer, keeping up the good fight. cheesy

I hope everyone has a great day and happy Friday, friends!

Good to hear from you! I hope things settle soon so you can go back home and relax.

We have that anthology! I read it some years ago. I don't remember the details except for one of the stories that had a shocking ending, but I remember that I enjoyed it. I must pull that book off the shelf for the Halloween season! We also have two anthologies of Christmas murder and mystery stories that I love to read in November. One of them only came out in paperback, and the poor book is getting so worn from being read! But there are stories in it that are "can't miss" every year.

I age year after year, but according to my mother, she does not, either. You and her have that in common. cheesy

Happy birthday to Jeannie! Hope it's a great one and I hope y'all have fun camping.

Did I see a post from Snowflake from 1:44 a.m. this morning?! Made's "night owlness" must be getting contagious. :-D

My fingers are crossed this morning. The office is supposed to close at 1 p.m., but that usually means that at 1 p.m. the ones who are leaving dump work on the studio that has to be done before the holiday, so a 1 p.m. closing often means 3 or 4 p.m. for us. And it's been a busy week. I SO would like to get out of here at 1 p.m., but I mustn't get my hopes up.

But once I'm out of here, I don't have to go back until Tuesday!
