Happy Labour Day!

I have fallen behind with posts over the weekend, sorry if I missed anything. The weekend was good. My toddler had his first haircut He looks so grown up without his dark curls....it kind of broke my heart a little but it needed doing...I guess.

My eldest returns to school on Wednesday. He will be moving into year two so a new beginning for him. I hope he won't be tearful about going in and settles back into school routine.

It is sweet september atlast. Before we know it , we will be entering October and I can hardly contain my excitement. October brings many exciting events includng my baby's 2nd birthday!

Enjoy your Labour day celebrations today and have a great start to the week!

Thanks, the itching is settling down as long as I do not scratch, which everyone knows is so hard to resist! I think I will see if I can get a bit more sleep in yet.

Ok an update to my Monopoly mishap. So a few days ago the company said they would send over the right version and collect the wrong one they sent me.

It came today. No it is not good news. It is the same WRONG version that they sent me earlier in the week.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm going to combust!!!

Days to the Season: 72
Days to Christmas Day: 114
And our count figures tell us that we now find ourselves exactly 2 weeks away from our final "window" Milestone, the the 100-day Christmas Day marker.
Then -- double-double days!

Hard rain/lightning/thunder. That was the order of the day late yesterday.
The power was out for almost 7 hours and we got re-acquainted with our oil lamps.
Hopefully, today will be a calm respite!
We show 71 degrees here at this hour.

Good Morning MMC!!! Happy Labor Day!!! It's going to be another warm day here but not as bad as it has been. I'm still not really sure what my plans are for today. I think I'm going to run to Joann fabrics and I need to take my niece's home. After that, who knows. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!

At least it is harmless, to us that is.

Yeah, there's lots of those crazy-looking things around here. We call them banana spiders. I don't know if they can hurt me, but they can sure make me hurt myself trying to get away!

Good Morning .... not much planned today. Just finishing up laundry and straightening up the house. Kids are enjoying their last couple days of summer, they start school Thursday. Had a great day yesterday and ended it by watching Holiday Inn on TV.

Happy Labor Day, my Christmas friends!

And welcome to the 'bers! I wish the first day of September made me shiver, but I went to an outdoor family reunion yesterday and almost melted. It was good seeing some of those folks I haven't seen in a while, though. It's the side of my family that includes my cousin that plays in the band with me, so we sat around the piano later, playing and singing. It was great fun!

I don't know what's in store for today. I have to try to move our regularly scheduled city council meeting to next week since today is a holiday, then I have to take Jacob to a hunter's safety course this evening. He turns 16 in a few days! Where did my little boy go?!?
