Good afternoon, MMC! Happy Labor/Labour Day!!!

I hope this finds everyone well!!!

It is cool here in mid-Michigan! It was perfect temperatures for canning - I now have pints of ketchup cooling on the counter as well as the leftovers in a bowl in the fridge. Took a lot longer to make than the recipe said - hours longer! Tired now, but at least there is leftover chicken to eat. Was going to do more canning tomorrow, but something came up and I had to change my plans.

Be MERRY!!!

Happy Labour Day, everyone!

Notice the "u" in the word. Strange, eh? Despite currently being in a border city and a nine hour drive away from Canada's capital, I somehow feel even more Canadian when I am at home in Sault Ste. Marie. Kim and I made the drive on Saturday to surprise my mom. Yesterday, we went to my camp/cottage for the day and night. The weather did not quite cooperate, but we had a great time. In fact, the water (at 65F) was warmer than the air (63F)... that made for a refreshing swim!

Anyway, Kim and I will be in the Sault until about Saturday and then we'll make the drive back to Ottawa. It should be a good time here.

Also, I should be able to contribute here a little more often now... my most recent contract at Passport Canada finished and I am now unemployed. It's not a great situation, but I have applied for employment insurance, for which I am eligible. It should provide me with a bit of income until I can find another position. We shall see! Obviously, the good news is that I will now be closer to a computer and be able to follow along with the countdown as we move throughout September and close-in on the debut of the Blossoms thread!

I think that's it for now. Have a great Monday, everyone. I hope you're enjoying the last of the long weekend!
glad you are having a great time, love the picture. Our weather did not co operate either for camping this past weekend
Hope you find a new position soon.

The weather has been so cruddy for a few days---muggy, thick clouds, occasional heavy thunderstorms. Even when the sun breaks through there's a thick haze. Ugh, we need some bright sunshine and blue skies here!

As for so many others, it's back to work for us tomorrow.

No, it is a 1940s Cape Cod that needs way too much updating.

I grew up in a 1950s Cape Cod---I think it's an insurance office now.

yes, but it does make it feel more like fall will be here soon!
We have had a few storms come through in the last few days, it is either muggy or chilly or raining.

Glad it's cooled down up there!!! The colder air should arrive here overnight.

Hello friends. Flipping channels and came across Animal House. I've seen this movie way too many times, but it makes me laugh every time!
Hope you all are having a great night!

Yeah, it was pretty good expect for the fact that I didn't have buns. So everyone had to use bread because no one wanted to go get them.

I have to run to the grocery store tomorrow now though because I just used up all of the groceries that I had bought for the week. LOL!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful day! Have a great day tomorrow. Goodnight!
