I thought I was delirious! I got out of the shower last night and the TV was on in the bedroom. I could have sworn I heard Bing singing It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. I chalked it up to wishful thinking, though. Thanks for clearing that up!

Seeing that commercial has put my Christmas jonsing in full gear, it is not even on YouTube yet. I looked for it to show everyone here.

Well, it's official, both my boys are in elementary school. I watched them both get on the bus, and LC was smiling, and having fun, I was worried he was going to freeze up and fight going. I got some pictures of them before the bus came and them on the bus. I miss them both but I knew this was coming, my boys are growing up. But...

I have to head to work in a couple hours, not really what I want to do, but I have no choice.

Good Morning and Happy Pines Day!

I FINALLY finished my video project for church. It's a video to celebrate Grandparents Day. Wayne and I spent the last 2 Sundays interviewing children about their grandparents then I put that together with a brief history of that day. I ran into so many issues with my video maker. I spent my entire Friday working on it and never got it working. My son was helping me with it as well. On Saturday after a few hours we got it working. Took me most of the day yesterday to edit, tweak the audio on it, and add music. Phew! All that work and it's a 5 minute video! I know those who are familiar with video making know the time it takes to even make a video that short.

If you can, post a link to the video ... I know you do such good work! And yes, it's possible to spend hours and hours on a 5-minute video. Takes lots and lots of patience.

It's a puppy day at the office! One of my co-workers volunteers with a dog rescue, and a few times a year he brings in a few of the puppies he's fostering. So people are on the floor cooing over the three puppies who are visiting today! (Note: That's not how we'll spend the day ... work still goes on as usual!)

Good morning everyone!

Another Wednesday, another gathering at the 'Pines. The "burrr" month festivities have begun. That camel, Carl, sure is clever. To be honest, it's great to see everything pick up at this time of year. We're on the bottom end of the calendar and going straight for our favourite season!

Last night was a good time. Kim and I hung out with my brother and his wife. We played some Xbox Kinect and then visited a local watering hole. It was pretty empty - but after all it was a Tuesday night in a fairly lifeless city. Still, we had a good night. Also, Kim and I accompanied my dad on his daily visit to my 99-year-old grandmother. It was great to see her!

As for today, I think we're just having a barbecue here at my mom's house. It should be delicious! Well, not a whole lot to talk about. Time for some job hunting. Have a great Wednesday, everyone! We're turning that corner toward the weekend!

Good morning!! Happy pines day!!! Happy hump day!!!! YAY!!!!

I never had time to catch up on posts yesterday, but I'm hoping to read at least what I missed since yesterday! I did see Brads new camero - looks nice!!! Keep spending Brad!! Keep our economy going! And I think I saw that it's CS's birthday!!! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And I hope you have a great day!!!!

Last night my Mom came over & helped me put up peaches! I saved enough out to make a peach crisp & it's darn tasty! The house smelled soooo good while it was baking!!! Then I picked tomatoes...they are waiting for me tonight! Salsa? Stewed Tomatoes? More juice? Hmmmm - huge decisions!!! Lol! Supper is in the crock pot, so that gives me a little more time for canning! Seems there is always something to do this time of year!!!

Hope you are all having a GREAT day & we'll see ya at the PINES tonight - 1st Brrr night! FUN!!!!

You guys are being kind, but I appreciate it. It's going to look MUCH better when we're finished. We're working on the new color scheme right now. I'm thinking a bright, metallic silver with two wide black stripes down the length.

My plan is to sell the other two cars when we're finished, to help offset all this cost.

Maybe Carl will have a little something to calm my nerves tonight at the Pines. Wait...on second thought....I want to make sure I make it back for my second day on the job tomorrow, so I'm staying away from anything Carl tries to give me.

Yeah, I've tried his anti stress drink before and I didn't wake up until Saturday.

Can we be back around to the Shispering Pines weekly open house day again already?
Carl says "YES" (I think somehow he's able to speed up time!) and his theme tonight is "welcome to the burrrs".
I suggested to him he might have meant "bers" but he said that was too pat. With the theme referring to "burrrs", the drink of choice will be ice-cold smoothies to herald the end of summer heat and the soon to arrive crisp fall weather.
(To be honest, I think the SP is probably ovestocked on something that will likely be blended into the smoothies and I'm not sure I want to try one!)

Carl and Smoothies? I think I'll pass.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another decent day here with a high of 81. I actually slept over 8 hours last night, so I have some energy today. So I'm going to tackle my kitchen today. I want to clean every thing off of the counters and scrub them down. Then I'll move the dryer, freezer, stove and fridge and scrub the floors. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
