Yeah, the offensive line needs to step it up some though. They are letting the pressure from Oakland get through to much.

The turkey is cooking, I am trying it in the crock pot, the same way as I do the whole chicken. It is only a 8-9lb bird so it fits, just barely. We made the homemade cranberry sauce this morning, all the other fixins' will be started in about 90 minutes, and then an apple pie for dessert.
Watching the Bengals online, if they could just get rid of the mistakes they would be looking better. It's tied now, but I still say I really do like this team this year.

Hubby was almost at the end of his digging the trench when he hit a big root. Right now he is watering the area so he can dig easier with a shovel. He works so hard! He will come in and watch his team (49ers) play and then go back out after the game.
 
So much for quiet afternoon, going to work till 7:30. Great to get some extra hours in!!

I slept pretty well, but Mr. just couldn't get to sleep---he'd been working so hard all day at moving things that he just couldn't power down. So he was up around 3 a.m. working on some freelance proofreading. I don't know what time he came back to bed, 'cause I was out like a light! And he was up earlier than I was this morning. Poor guy will probably crash later in the day.

We put some more stuff on the curb this morning for bulk trash, and the neighbors took a few things (with our blessing---it was good, useable stuff), so we quickly scanned the basement for more things we could put out. (The town will collect up to eight items at a time, so we were able to dispose of three more items.)

[Time passes]

Well, the new things are in! Took a lot more moving and shifting things around, but I think we're in pretty good shape. It opens up the front room a good bit (although there are a couple of tight corners), and there will be a good view of the Christmas tree when the time comes. We actually hauled up the artificial tree and measured it to make sure it would fit---it's a 4-1/2-foot tree that I usually put on a lamp table, but now it will be on top of a cedar chest. I also have a cabinet in the basement that I can put Christmas stuff away in, clearing up a few other storage shelves down there for year-round stuff. I'm sitting on the new sofa, enjoying the sunshine on this side of the house. There's no TV in here because of the piano, but it'll be a nice space to relax with music or the laptop. I can wrap gifts where I can see the tree.

There's more stuff to move around, put on shelves, etc., but we need to get some lunch first.

We're going to need pictures of this! Sounds like a lot of fun, especially with the Hawaiian theme!

We are having a big Laua at church this morning. Our new pastor is getting his official welcome.He told us that he always wears Hawaiian shirts when he preaches because he wants everyone to know that it is not important what you wear to church, just that you come. So everyone is wearing something Hawaiian, a shirt, mumu, leis, etc. Going to be a colorful morning!
It is also our churches 97th anniversary so we will have lots of additional guests for this. Lunch afterwards too!

I'm sorry that I have to root against his team but I already promised to root for the packers.


Hope he can finish the trench without to much hassle!!
