Being new to town we wanted to make sure our new pastor did not miss anything so they were presented with a map of Stratford showing all of Justin Bieber's favorite spots. (Justin grew up here)

He was presented with a shepherds staff representing his role as pastor, the comment that made everyone laugh was "we didn't know how tall you were, sorry"

Using my cell phone & going cosseyed trying to se the small letters !

Great to see you back, Spyells!

I'm baaaaaaaack!!! I haven't been on since last December, except for a post or three I made on Thursday. I figured it was time to stop being a stranger and say hi. (I'm horrible at responding to forum posts by the way, but it doesn't mean that I don't read them.)

I'm glad to hear you all say that! I get a lot of gift cards for family and friends, and sometimes I feel faintly guilty about it, as though I'm taking the easy way out. Now I feel better!

Don't feel guilty about it at all. I think it's a great gift. People can get what they want then. What's better?!

Thank you for the warm welcome! It's nice to see you guys too!

I finally transferred to a four-year university. I have about 2-3 years left of school and it's taking forever. Also, my little brothers have started high school now. It's amazing how fast they're growing up. What's new with you guys?

I am sure it feels like that, but you will be done before you know it!

I have had sooo much going on im my life, one issue after another, that I was not in the heart to share this additional thing with everyone.

The other week, we were about 20 minutes away from leaving the house to move our daughter into her college dorm, and I went downstairs to the basement to check the back door, when I discovered that my daughters bunny was not acting right. I picked her up and wrapped her in a blanket and called my wife and daughter and we took her to the vets. While we were there at the vets, she had a she had died while they were working on her, she was 7 years old and her name was "Bunny B" or Mrs B or just B, as we called her.

She was a dwarf bunny and she was 7 years is an old age for that type of rabbit. Vicki had gotten her when she was in middle school 6 or 7th grade and B was so personable, she loved chips, cereal, she would lay on the couch with us and watch tv, she loved to have her head rubbed and was also litter box trained.

Vicki was so upset, crying, which got me all upset, what timing, the day of her leaving home. B is now buried under a young oak tree that I planted in the yard.

So sorry to hear about the passing of B. thinking of you guys.

Hello everyone

How is everybody? I was away a couple weeks, as life was interupting my plans to show up here regularly.

In the last couple weeks my parents had to untertake some serious medical examinations and on top of that we all felt ill. Luckily the results aren't as bad as expected.

My father has sleep apnoe (as we expected since some years, but he refused to check it out) due to the fact that his throat closes up during sleep. Despite the condition he does have enough oxygen. Therfore he needs a vacuum device which should make sure that his throat won't close up. Hopefully this device will help him rest better.

On top of all those examinations we also had to put our tomcat to sleep. He started to eat less and less and became very quiet. On a Wednesday two weeks ago, my father went to the vet (our old vet retired and a vet corporation took over) and they said he had a kidney and a liver tumour. They also told us that he didn't have any pain at that time and gave us some drops which should make him hungry again. We were suppose to give him this drops once a day. But he refused to eat on Thursday and on Friday mornig he breathed very heavily. My father called the vet corporation again and they told him to bring our tomcat over as he now need to be put to sleep. Otherwise he would get a cirrhosis of the liver, which would be very painful. My father wanted to make an appointment on either friday (the same day) afternoon or saturday afternoon, as due to work those were the only times he could go. The vet corporation told us, that they are only aviable on friday morning and saturday morning (there are tree vets in that corporation!). So that afternoon my father drove to the other vet, who was aviable. After looking at our tomcat she said that he was in real pain and has been for a couple days. My father was shocked. If he knew this on Wednesday he would have put Benji to sleep that day. Never ever would he take him back home again!

Now, we are happy that he is without pain, but we miss him dearly. He was with us for sixteen years and lived a good life. We also decided to change our vet. Not just because the vet corporation wasn't aviable when we needed them but also because they are more expensive than the other vet. They also want everything paid in cash right after the examination. The other vet still offers invoices. Which is much better.

Hi nice to see you. I am glad you and your family are feeling better, I hope your dad can rest better now at night.

It is heartbreaking to read about your tomcat. I understand your loss and saddness. You must have such wonderful memories of him. He was lucky to have such a loving home and family.

welcome back!

Merry Monday Morning to you all! How was your weekend? Isn't it crazy how quickly we get through a week? I bet we will be welcoming October very soon!

On Saturday we ended up doing some work around the garden, my eldest had his hair cut, I ran a few errands and later in the evening we cooked a nice meal and watched the second Star Trek movie, we enjoyed it, my eldest loved it.

It was a long day yesterday. I was up early this morning to take my son to school. My toddler keeps waking up at around 3am every night for the past few weeks so needless to say I am not sleeping well at all these nights. I managed to walk to the shops after the school run and I was delighted to see Halloween decorations and candy out! Everywere was busy moving things around, so I bet within the next couple weeks christmas will appear!

I would very much like to veg out on the couch now with a tea and a movie and recover from yesterday but ofcourse no such luck!

Have a wonderful start to the week everybody! Before we knwo it Friday will be here again!

SNOWFLAKE -
Your decorations are awesome, it made my morning! You have so many interesting and quirky items, they are just the things I would choose. I am inlove with them all! You did a spendid job on the house, infact I would like to move in! LOL!

Good Morning, Last-Week-Before-The-Last-Window Christmas Lovers!

Yes, Friends.
This week will terminate with our arrival at the final "Window" Milestone of 2013 and next week will see us into a double-double count.
(For newcomers, that means both our Season and Christmas Day count figures will be in double rather than triple digit figures.
Sort of the unofficial begining of the "fast track" to the start of Christmas Season 2013.)

Days to the Season: 65
Days to Christmas Day: 107

A bit warmer and more humid yesterday but still not bad for early September.
It was dry and that situation is supposed to continue through most of this week.
Right now, we are at 68 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everbody!
Let's make this week "count", OK?

I'm sore just reading about a ten mile bike ride! :)

I must clarify that when we bike ride we take it easy, pace ourselves, coast downhill to rest the legs and stop for a few water breaks and a light snack. I never feel like I need a rest but try to after every 3 miles so we don't have that problem again of feeling ill.

The first time we went bike riding we went for 8 miles and sped the whole time just like those people training for races! We both got dizzy and lightheaded. Wayne has a heart murmur so that probably wasn't wise and I have had a few setbacks myself. After that we decided to just take it easy and soak up the atmosphere. There are lots of speedy bike riders on their very expensive bikes zooming by us and we just stay on our inexpensive Huffy bikes far right of the path and let them go! It's great fun!

I forgot to add that it looks like your cat is looking at his/her reflection in the floor!

I was just about to say the same thing about Homemakingirls floors! =)
Very beautiful floors. My wood floors are so beat up!!!
