Hope you guys had a nice weekend!

I have a busy day ahead. My oldest & dearest friend and her fiancee are stopping by later this afternoon, they live in Washington now. It'll be nice to catch up.

Unfortunately, Harlowe has been having trouble again. She was sick all day yesterday, and I am feeling so worried & stressed. Breaks my heart. Can you guys please continue to pray for her?

Sounds delicious! We are having leftovers. Either the crock pot steak dinner from last week, or the chicken dinners we picked up yesterday, but never ate! No cooking for me tonight!!

A night to lounge sounds really good - a movie sounds awesome tonight. I doubt it will happen though!!! I might have to pick tomatoes - with this heat, I'm sure they are ripening fast!!! I hope you get to rest!!! Your Grandaughters comment about Merry Careys room is too cute!

Yes, there are multiple books about Charlie Chaplin---and Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costello, etc., etc. Lots of film/TV history, but also lots of mystery, fiction, cats, short stories---well, you name it. How old is your granddaughter? She might enjoy Five Little Peppers, An Old-Fashioned Girl, Bambi, The Great Brain, Tell Me Why ... yep, I still read some classic "junior" books now and then!

I have that book! I read classic "junior" books and some current YA fiction, too. cheesy

I hope you got the mistake at the library sorted out ... very annoying and frustrating when a mix-up like that happens. Also hoping you get caught up with things soon and can relax a bit!

You are so right, a mix-up like that is very annoying. All taken care of now. I'm not sure there will be time to relax tonight - tomatoes need canning. I'll rest tomorrow when it is going to be too hot to do much. cheesy

I decided on my way home from work & after going outside with Buster, that I am going to sit in my recliner in the AC, candles are burning & watch a Christmas movie & pretend it's not 92º & miserable outside. LOL! It feels SO HOT & muggy!!!! Anyway I am going to watch "How About You" - it's a free movie with my Amazon Prime membership. I never come home from work & sit down, so I'm looking fwd to this!

Yeah, well I cooked up some hamburger and chopped up some lettuce and tomatoes!!!!! So my house smells like hamburger grease!!!! LOL!!!!!


Okay, you win. Freeze some of each for when I come visit!!!

I'm not either - the only soup they make that I like is tomato.

That is pretty much the only one I eat too! I use their brand a lot in cooking, but I usually make my soups from scratch.
