Good morning,

Just biding my time before going in to work. It will be a hot one today, in the 90's.
I received a call from my Dr, and my cholesterol is "mildly elevated" so I am going to have to change my diet to bring it down. C'est la vie

I have to get motivated for work soon.

I did see it last night and I was excited!

Do they have anything better to do with their time than sit around sulking over a commercial that last 31 seconds? I mean, come on! There is nothing offensive about it. I don't have a problem if they thought to themselves that it was a little early but to make a public fuss about it and cause an uproar??? There are serious problems in the world and this is not one of them! It makes me wonder if they are miserable people 24/7.

Now I am making a fuss over people fussing! Ha ha! Rant over.

Hello everyone. It is going to be hot and humid here today, with a high of 90 degrees. It is supposed to cool off by Friday.
Not too much going on for me today, typical day of errands and chores.
I am having my coffee right now, watching the September 11th ceremonies. I can't believe it has been 12 years. It is so important to remember the victims, survivors and those who continue to fight for our freedom, today and always. May all who perished rest in peace. God Bless America.

Well said! I watched it for a couple hours this morning. It's just heart breaking. I had to turn it off! Makes me too sad - and I'm at work! It is hard to believe it has been 12 years! Seems like yesterday watching it all over again! Enjoy your day!

Good morning everyone!

It should be a warm one today. Temperatures are to reach into the upper 30s/90s with humidex. Strangely enough, we're only suppose to reach about 14c/57f on Friday. Such a change!

Kim and I were suppose to visit Tinseltown, Ottawa's year-round Christmas store, today, however she has yet to awaken. She has to work sometime later this afternoon, so I am hoping that she wakes up soon. Apparently, Tinseltown has plenty of their 2013 Christmas decorations now on display. I'm quite excited to see them! Of course, I will take pictures but since we are so close to the Blossoms thread, I am contemplating to hold off posting them until Crown debuts my favourite thread of the year!

Hopefully we can go soon! I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! It's 'Pines Day! Only two more remain in the month of September!

I have been trying to sit outside every night this week after it cools off a little just b/c I don't know how much longer I will be able to do that - in shorts & a t-shirt!! Have to enjoy it while I can!!!!! Last night it was 10:30 until I was able to sit out on our patio, but I loved all the sounds - locusts, etc were making a lot of music!!

I know how you bakers are - our friend makes pies - well when my aunt/uncle were home from NC she made us an apple pie! It was so yummy looking & tasted even better! She didn't want us to pay for it b/c she wasn't happy with how it turned out! HA! WHATEVER! It was great. And I am sure yours is too!!! But sorry you aren't happy with it!

I remember the fear of not knowing what was going on. I was the opening manager at autozone that morning and we were busy. So I was hearing some reports over the radio while trying to wait on customers but it was hard to keep up. Then when it finally started to die down after the first hour or so, I remember going outside and watching the planes come in. We had 45 planes land at the airport here. Memphis was the only other place that got as many. It really wasn't until I went home on my lunch hour though and turned on the news, that I really got a sense of what had happened.

I do not think any of us will forget that day, so scary. I had just come home from my morning school bus run. My daughter told me to come and watch tv with her, terrible accident in New York, a plane hit one of the world trade center buildings. I had only started watching when the second tower was also hit. At that time I told her this was no accident. We did not move from the TV the rest of the day until I had to go and do my afternoon run. All I could think as the events unfolded was we had just entered world war three. Even today it brings back the same feelings of horror the day it happened.
It was so eerie to not see any planes in the sky, 200 planes were diverted and landed at 17 airports in Canada

Good morning!!! I can't hardly stand to watch all this 9/11 coverage - it is just too sad!!! But that is what is on at work. It almost seems disrespectful to turn it off, but ugh...ugh...ugh! Seems like it was just yesterday.

I can never put into words how tragic and heartbreaking 9/11 was. I can't belive it is 12 years ago either! We watched a documentary about it last night and I tried to explain to my 6year old what happened when he asked. My thoughts and prayers continue for all affected.

My mum suffers with cholesteral and has to adjust her diet and excersise accordingly but it is manageable. Don't worry, you will beat it.

I went with my mom a moment ago to see her cardiologist (he's also my cardiologist), and she got a great report. Yay!

Today at noon, I'm attending a 9/11 Memorial Luncheon as mayor, along with the mayors of the other cities in Evans County. I'm not sure if I have to speak, though. If I do, I hope I don't lock-up and say something stupid. :?

This afternoon we're taking the kids to their guitar and dance lessons, then the weekly Wal-Mart trip. I plan to force...*ahem* I mean ask...Nancy to buy me Star Trek: Into Darkness Blue-Ray/DVD Combo-Pak with Deleted Scenes, Alternate Endings and Director Commentary. It's important to get the right one. :wink:
