Good morning all.

I have a school project where I need to interview (over email) someone from outside of the United States about higher education in their country. Any international Christmas friends want to volunteer?

I went by the Pines on my way to work this morning and Carl is already blasting "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight" on the speakers as he sets up. Sounds like he is going to throw a barn burner of a shindig tonight!

Good morning everyone!

It should be a warm one today. Temperatures are to reach into the upper 30s/90s with humidex. Strangely enough, we're only suppose to reach about 14c/57f on Friday. Such a change!

Kim and I were suppose to visit Tinseltown, Ottawa's year-round Christmas store, today, however she has yet to awaken. She has to work sometime later this afternoon, so I am hoping that she wakes up soon. Apparently, Tinseltown has plenty of their 2013 Christmas decorations now on display. I'm quite excited to see them! Of course, I will take pictures but since we are so close to the Blossoms thread, I am contemplating to hold off posting them until Crown debuts my favourite thread of the year!

Hopefully we can go soon! I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! It's 'Pines Day! Only two more remain in the month of September!

We should be cooling off starting tomorrow & then Friday...Brrrrr!!

Oh the locusts!!! Don't get me started on them!!!! They are little magicans!!! I've had 6 of them in my apartment over the last week and I can hear at least 2 more right now.

I stayed home from work today, of course not without guilt, but my head still hurts and I have no energy.
It is going to be another hot one today, already 27c (80f) and it is only 11am.

I just told my granddaughter that I needed to straighten up the living room and get some fall decorations out. She headed over to the hall closet and said, "I will get the Christmas tree and ornaments out"! I like her thinking!

If one of my nephew or daughter would say that to me. That door would swing up so fast and i would dive right in to get that tree out. Kids always know when it is the right time to put the tree up lol

I did see it last night and I was excited!

Do they have anything better to do with their time than sit around sulking over a commercial that last 31 seconds? I mean, come on! There is nothing offensive about it. I don't have a problem if they thought to themselves that it was a little early but to make a public fuss about it and cause an uproar??? There are serious problems in the world and this is not one of them! It makes me wonder if they are miserable people 24/7.

Now I am making a fuss over people fussing! Ha ha! Rant over. :wink:

I told my daughter about that commercial and she could not believe people were making a fuss about it. She would like to ask them how they would advertise a Christmas event that needed booking now if you expected to get your group in? Th Hotel she works at has had ads out since the end of last month, and has had bookings for Christmas parties since last Christmas.

We finally made it to Ottawa this past summer, but I had problems with a leaking transmission so by the time that was fixed we had to get back on the road again to my sisters place. We did get to see the Parliament buildings. We are planning a trip there next summer and will be staying for about a week this time.

Good afternoon everyone ... Not liking this Sept Heat, not one bit. I was enjoying the early fall temps we had been getting. At leaset they will be back for the weekend. It may have been hot and humid this morning but that didnt stop the squirrels from their gathering. Saw a several with their mouths stuffed full heading back to their trees.

I have been seeing more and more fall and halloween stuff popping up in the stores. No Christmas yet but I am sure it wont be too much longer :razz:

Well said! I watched it for a couple hours this morning. It's just heart breaking. I had to turn it off! Makes me too sad - and I'm at work! It is hard to believe it has been 12 years! Seems like yesterday watching it all over again! Enjoy your day!

I am not enjoying this September heat either, it is 30c (86f) right now and very humid. Our fall temps are supposed to be back by Friday.

one good thing about staying home is that I remade the cake and this one turned out much better. My son is enjoying the pieces of the other one.
