I don't have a way to buy any eggnog around here. At least I have found a black tea (from Nordfriesland, Germany) with eggnogg taste (or as they call it "Eier-Grogg"), which is very yummy. Too bad I don't have any of it here at the office. You made me want to drink a mug full of it now!



I'm so sorry that it didn't work out. The economical situation in your country is as difficult as it is here. I understand your need for a stable income. You are in my prayers and I hope you'll find a good (and interesting) job soon.

Afternoon or morning to most of you. Happy Pines Day!

Not much sleep last night, I kept hearing noises and baby was up at 5:30am ! It's still raining here and getting colder!

I have aches and pains everywhere today lol. I can't even face going on the cross trainer. Anyway I'm just finishing up a few things before I collect my son from school but I wanted to share good news. DH got the job, thank you for the kind wishes and prayers, means a great deal.

Hope you all are having a good day. See you all later at the Pines! First round of drinks are on me!

Thank you for your kind words.
Real estate isn't working out, I just can't afford it right now. They say it could be a year or more before I make anything, and I can't afford the monthly fees, dues, and marketing costs. And it's not really what I was expecting. I am disappointed but moving on. The grand plan is to find a job that I can still use my license for, like a real estate coordinator, but so far there's nothing available around here for that. Fingers crossed, but I just need a consistent income at this point. Thinking of what I want to do with my life in the mean time.

Sometimes if I have a long reply, I'll do a Ctrl+A (to copy it to the Clipboard) before I hit Submit Reply. Then if it happens to get lost, all I have to do is open a new post and Ctrl+V to paste it in. But I have to remember to do it.

Every time it happens to me, I think to myself, "Why didn't you copy it first, just in case?" I do that for some work things, but I don't think about it here until it's too late. I'll learn...or pay the price! cheesy

Exactly 14 weeks from today is Christmas Day!

I love this time of the year

I can't actually believe we are so close to the season! When it does get here I just want to savour those few weeks.

I have stuck with the Bengals since the early 80's, all through the dreadful 90's. I always followed them but all the losing made me lose a lot of interest in football, that is why I only watch the Bengals, I can't sit through a game I have no following. My bro in law tried to get me to switch allegiances to the Patriots, but I am no bandwagon jumper like 95% of their fans are around here.

I don't jump teams either. Been a fan of the same teams since the mid 1960s. Atlanta Braves - MLB. NC Tarheels - college bb & fb. Cowboys - NFL. My problem is I can't root for Jerry Jones so I basically don't have a favorite NFL team until Jones is gone.

Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is upper school chapel day at the kids' school, and Jacob's Praise Band is set to play a couple songs. They played for the first time a couple weeks ago, but he wouldn't let us come to watch. He thought they wouldn't be very good, and he didn't want our first impression to be a bad one. But he says they are sounding better, so I'm about to leave work and head to the school. He took his new guitar, too!

Nancy and the kids are all going to dance and guitar lessons today, so think it's a good time to get some real work done on the Camaro this evening...I hope.

I'm sooo tired today. I went to bed too late yesterday. Oh well, this day willl go over soon anyway.

One of my work colleagues is sick and I'm doing her tasks today. It is quite calm here though, therefore I have enough time to hers.



Did your job (the one were you had to learn a lot of things) not work out? Or are you looking for a second job?

My wife would love them, she loves pumpkin. Me, pumpkin is one of my least favorite flavors out there. I once ate a pumpkin donut at work, I stopped eating donuts for 2 years, because all I could think of was that pumpkin flavor. cheesy

I sympathize. When I was little I bit into a peanut butter cookie, and it turned out to be a pumpkin cookie. It turned me off of pumpkin permanently. Before that happened, I liked pumpkin pie.

I love the movie Guys and Dolls - such fun songs! Luck Be a Lady is stuck in my head now.

Good morning! I spoke to Carl this morning. He mentioned that his camel friends who attended the Pines last week have made it clear they will not be attending tonight. This is apparently because of the way Snowflake and Sugar conducted themselves. It is sad when a few out of control ones tarnish the image of an entire group! They did go on to reiterate how much of a gentleman Made is, so perhaps all hope is not lost.

Good 'Pines Day morning, everyone!

Windows are open and good times are to be had. What a grand idea by Carl! The Season is coming so fast that if you close your eyes and take a deep breath, you can almost smell Christmas in the air.

It was a chilly walk to our latest apartment showing this morning in Ottawa. Temperature were about 6c/43f. It really enjoyed it. Interestingly enough, I also enjoyed the apartment! It is quite spacious and exactly what we are looking for. It was a one bedroom plus den. The layout is very nice. It also includes a backyard patio, where I can (finally) barbecue. The apartment hasn't really been advertised, so Kim and I are under the impression that we were one of the first ones to look at it.

The only two problems is that they want us to move in on October 1st, which means that we'd be paying double rent for two months! Double ouch! And laundry isn't onsite, which was a big hope of mine. I think I can settle for no laundry, however. It will be tough, but I can do it! We have two more showings today, then I think we will submit our application this afternoon.

The best part? Decorating a new house for Christmas!! Kim and I are very excited to figure out how we're going to decorate for the Season. Of course, we're also excited to show all of you, too! Oh, the extra excitements of Christmas!

It's the second last 'Pines Day of Christmas. Perhaps the last 'Pines Day before the debut of Crown's world famous Christmas Blossoms thread, the most anticipated thread of the year. Speaking of which, I wonder how Carl celebrates the debut of Blossoms. I am sure he loves the different decoration ideas!

Two more showings and job searching lay ahead for today. I hope you're all having a great Wednesday! These double digits are a sight to see!
