It CAN be done! Mr. and I taught Gloria to use an iPad, and she's 87. She'd never used a computer before. But she loves it! (I'm a little worried about how she'll do with the upgrade to iOS 7, though. Hope it downloads okay for her with no trouble.)

Hey! I hope everyone is having a good day!, I've just been drooling over snowflakes Halloween and fall decorations. Reading through the posts I've realised two really good things!! 1, every other Brit is loving them too and wishing we could get away with doing it and 2, there's more of us from this side of the pond than I thought!!, it's comforting to feel I'm not the only Christmas nut in the Uk!!! Then I got to wondering... does anyone know if there are any Christmas shops in Yorkshire? We are off on holiday to robin hoods bay on Saturday, I'd love to get something new for my collection!

OhOh I forgot to say another good thing happened to me today! I have a charity collections box for small change on my shop counter, it's for radio Christmas, a charity station which helps street kids in Latin America. A customer was gobsmacked that there was such a station, Christmas music all year etc ....then she comments that she bets it's the same generic 30 songs, so I had great pleasure in saying to her well if you want something with a bit more oomph and you want to listen to some really great stuff tune in to kringle radio!!, I wrote the web address down for her she was so chuffed she put £5 in the charity box anyway and was off home to investigate kringle radio. It's great to share the Christmas cheer

Not easily ... she's 6,000 miles away in Hawaii ... we're in Massachusetts! But she calls us sometimes when she gets stuck and we try to talk her through.

I don't have a way to buy any eggnog around here. At least I have found a black tea (from Nordfriesland, Germany) with eggnogg taste (or as they call it "Eier-Grogg"), which is very yummy. Too bad I don't have any of it here at the office. You made me want to drink a mug full of it now!

There are recipes in another section of MMC that will allow you to make your own. This is from last Christmas, has been in freezer. It freezes really well, would never know it was frozen.
