Good morning. I am so happy to see October roll around! I have decided this year, I am going to slow down and truly enjoy the holiday season (starts this month for us, as we love Halloween). Every year I spend so much time anticipating these months, but am so busy when they arrive that I don't savor them. This year I am going to slow down and take in every minute.

Good morning everyone! Happy October! it does not feel very fallish here today we are mild in the 70's. But a storm system is coming through tonight and the next few days with rain chances and cloudy weather. Lows will be in the upper 30's and highs in the 50's. Almost cold enough to snow at night but not quite yet!! The leaves are still changing and just now beginning to drop. By Halloween I think they will all be bare. I have a bad headache today at work so not feeling so good. Hope everyone is doing good though!

Hope you are feeling better quick!! I hate headaches!

Happy October 1st MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a warm one here with a high of 80 degree's. Boo!!!! Where is my fall weather!!!! Ok it's going to get here this weekend but it's going to bring strong storms with it which is going to ruin are big fall festival. Double Boo!!!! Not to much going on today. Just a few things to do around the apartment this morning and then I'm headed to the south side of Indy to do some window shopping. Well I might buy a few things. Not as much as I will want though, I'm sure. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man! I hope the weather misses your fall festival! Here they are saying isolated storms Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Sunday I am supposed to take my friends family pictures! Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Happy October 1st!!

I worked pretty late last night on my part-time business, not getting home till after 9pm. I thought I was tired, but Elizabeth was up till almost 11pm doing homework. It's that way every night anymore. Even on weekends. She could probably get it done sooner if she quit dancing, but why should she have to give up something she loves that much? I'm so sad for her.

It's fitting that it's October now, since Netflix just released Season 3 of The Walking Dead. I love that show! I've been watching it as quick as I can so I can catch up before Season 4 starts. I'll DVR it from now on, and I won't have to wait another year for it to hit Netflix.

More work to do this afternoon, and I have to pickup Elizabeth and a bunch of girls from school and take them to a bible study...At Bernie's store! Upstairs in the coffee shop, actually. It's very nice up there, I need to post a couple pix of that, too.

We are all hooked on Walking Dead also. We had a group of teenagers at the house Saturday watching season 3 on Netflix before season 4 starts. Have to say season 3 is my least favorite but looking forward to season 4.

Like Ryan, I hope to enjoy this season more. It will be our last Christmas season before our son goes off to college. October looks to be a fun month. Ethan (my son) and I are going to game 1 of the baseball NLDS in Atlanta Thursday. He will miss some school but he will remember this longer than anything that happens in school Thurs afternoon/Fri morning. A group of us men and sons from our church will be camping at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mtn National Park on Saturday the 26th. We will then meet the wives and the rest of our church for Sunday service at one of the old churches in the park. I am really looking forward it.

My parents are hanging in there. We know they will not get any better but for now they are stable and able to live at home. We pray it stays that way at least through Christmas.

I straightened up the house, started laundry, walked the dogs and ran a few errands, including a trip to the supermarket. Now I'm at a doctor appointment for my daughter. And we need to go straight to the mall after this to get my daughter something. Maybe I could stop in Yankee Candle while I'm there and use my coupon! I'm praying this afternoon will be less hectic, I'm feeling so tired already. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful first day of October!!!

Ladies! This is somewhat off topic but that never stopped me before LOL...... Have you heard there is a new Bridget Jones novel coming out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost fell of my chair when I saw it on the news last night! However I am devastated by the plot!! I won't go into it as I am not sure If the news has broke in the US yet and in case you don't want to know! Is anyone a Bridget fan!??

Let's pray that the government shutdown is over by then. The national parks are all closed now because of it.

My family drew names for our stocking stuffers on Saturday. We are right on schedule!

My little family is getting excited because we leave for Disney World on Friday after work/school (fall break next week). The daily grind is stressful, even for DD who is 8 years old & in third grade. It takes everything she has to stay focused & remember everything she needs to do, bring home, etc. She sleeps like a rock every night! We all need this trip. We only have three meal reservations, otherwise, we are going to relax & go with the flow on this Disney vaca.

Once vacation is over I can start figuring out how/when to buy gifts for Christmas.
