Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

The Luke Bryan concert was a hit, and his road crew had his equipment packed up and hauled away before daylight this morning, on the next gig. The outdoor event was about three miles from my house, and my windows rattled till it was over LOL.

It's been so busy here at work for the last few days, I feel a bit out-of-touch. Hopefully, things are normalizing now.

Here's a link to an article the local paper did on my son & me. Check it out!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I heard a lot about Luke Bryan when I lived in Georgia but I have never seen him in concert is he from around where you live?

Good afternoon everyone!

Just stopping by for a quick hello! How about the 'Pines last night?! Ol' Carl knows how to throw an October party! I wonder how he will celebrate next week. After all, it is the final 'Pines Day before our Thanksgiving here in Canada. Hopefully he keeps that in mind. Perhaps some nice tri-cornered hats with a few Thanksgiving specials... a mixture of Columbus Day and our Thanksgiving.

I think I should provide an update on my apartment/employment situation. They have both been solved. Kim and I are going to remain at our apartment until the end of April. Our friend Cassie is moving out of her place with her sister and needed a place to live until the same time next year. She plans on moving in with her boyfriend next Spring, but didn't want to quite yet as they have only been dating for less than a year. Anyway, she asked if she could move in with us. We really like the idea. We aren't forced into renting a place we don't really want and the market should be a lot better when all the students move out in the spring.

In regards to employment, I start a new admin position with an Engineering company on Monday. I had an interview last week. I didn't really think much of it, but they seemed to enjoy me. It's a maternity leave contract that lasts until the end of May. The pay is OK and I receive a $2500 bonus if I remain for the entirety of the contract. By my calculations, the bonus combined with my tax return should basically pay for my trip to Italy and a few places around Europe next summer. Just in case, I will do some savings at the position, too.

Well, including today, I have two more days left of unemployment. It's been a good run but I am ready to work. Luckily, I think I will be able to enjoy the comforts of MMC at the new job, too.

Have a great Thursday, everyone! We're really closing in on 90% and the Season is becoming more evident with each day that passes!

hi de ho.....sorry....silly me

been at my brother´s place over night....now we back home...had some dinner and been watching Dschungle Book....the Disney version....I had actually bought it for Kandice for Chrisdtmas.....unfortunately the squirrel was faster unpacking the bag than I was so she found it....I told her to stay away from the bags...that it was meant to be a Birthday present (I could not say Christmas....since Santa and the Christkind are still real to her).....haha...funny little thing....she told me I can still buy her other stuff for her b-day

LOL!!!! My youngest niece is terrible about getting into things. She found a lot of her gifts last year before Christmas and found where my sister hid all the candy at easter and kept getting into it. My sister is looking for a new hiding spot this year.

Have a wonderful day!

Good luck hugs coming your way!!

Hope the headaches stay away~

Hello everyone. I know it's a big day for HMG and I'm praying for her! Hope everyone else has a great day too!

I hope things work out well for you, including no headaches! If you get a headache today, don't count yourself out of the job yet---it could be nerves. Give yourself a few days to settle in. Be sure to let us know how it goes! A lot of the candle fans here would like to be in your shoes!

Good luck today! Hope you love it!!!

Praying all goes well today and that the smell doesn't bother you.

The manager at Yankee Candle called me earlier and told me they had to reschedule the training class, I'm going in tomorrow instead because they got a huge delivery in and needed to take care of that. I ran around like a lunatic this morning trying to get chores finished and I also fried 3 pounds of chicken cutlets, made a tray of homemade baked macaroni and cheese and steamed broccoli at 8:00 this morning because I thought I wasn't going to be here later to cook, lol. Oh well, at least dinner is done.
Thanks for sending all of the good luck wishes, I really do appreciate it! I will let you know how it goes tomorrow!!!

I have been searching the Possible Dreams site for Santas to add to my wish list, there are so many I want. I have a sort of "history" with Possible Dreams Santas, when I was in high school, I would buy one for my grandmother every year for Christmas. It was a tradition that lasted nearly 20 years, we stopped because she no longer decorates as much as she use to. So I've got a spot in my heart for those Santas.

That's really sweet xmas!

Good morning everyone!!! I hope all of you have a great Thursday......Today is a public holiday in Germany......Tag der Deutschen Einheit ( German Unity Day)........so no schools or stores r open....and only docs, nurses and people in the restaurant and hotel businesses r working

Hope you are enjoying your holiday!

Good Morning All- Happy Friday Eve!

I was at Rite Aide last night and I saw a whole display of Christmas cards, lights and a few decorations! Def made my night!

I am just working today and I think I am going to put on some Christmas music to make my day a bit brighter!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I noticed that in my Rite Aid too! Hope you are also having a wonderful day!

Good morning MMC! I hope everyone's day is off to a good start!

Since I am off work tomorrow, today is my Friday. YAY! Looking fwd to going out to the lake a night earlier than normal! Our lake season is winding down - need to enjoy every minute!!

Last night I made Meceka's Chipotle tomato sauce recipe! Looking fwd to trying it in different recipes!!! Mmmmm!!

I also picked more tomatoes from the garden last night, but there weren't enough to do much with. This might be my last big batch of canning for the year. That's bittersweet!!!

Not much else going on around here. It's an overcast Ohio day! I'm off to read the posts from last night!

Wishing you all a great Friday Eve!!!!

That looks yummy!
Enjoy your time at the lake. My parents have a place in Pennsylvania on the lake and they have closed it up for the winter. They miss it already!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high in the low 80's. Just 2 more days of the warm temps hopefully before fall is back!! There is also a chance of rain for the next 4 days. It looks like the strong stuff may hold off until Saturday night now which would be nice. I could still get to the fall festival Saturday morning then. Not much going on here today. My foot has been bugging me for the last couple of weeks so I'm just trying to stay off of it and give it time to heal. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you are able to rest today and that your foot feels better soon!

been watching Forrest Gump....crying as always.....love this movie so much....and I love its soundtrack

Good morning!
I have a feeling it is going to be a hectic day. I am going to walk the dogs as soon as everyone is off to school and work. Then I'm going to prep dinner because I'm going to be out of the house all afternoon. I also have a haircut appointment this morning which I probably should have cancelled but I am overdue and really need to go. Then I'm sure I will be trying to catch up with all of my other chores later this evening. I am excited and a bit nervous about the new job. I hope the smell of the candles do not give me a headache! I think it smells wonderful in that store but with my headaches/migraines I hope it isn't overwhelming for me! I will pop back in later tonight!
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Hopefully your first day at your new job was amazing and you didn't have any headaches.

You are busy! Don't forget to have a break in there some where!

Heh, thank you but that's exactly how my timetable on Thursday looks like - no break between the lectures but I'm okey because of knowing that there's only one such intensive day in a week. :]

Hope you have a lovely day, too!!

Thank you, dear. I surely did, and I hope your day was amazing too! :]

It was raining today here and I'm exhausted! Not physically, I guess, but emotionally. Anyway, the rain wasn't so bad, which is good, and my advisor of studies really made my day! I met her in study abroad information session and she told me that she had gotten in touch with the university of Amsterdam and had explained my case (one of the documents required to be submitted is academic transcript, and it often needs about 10-14 days, excluding delivery time from Glasgow to the city where I study and live, to be prepared and therefore, it's very likely I won't get it by the deadline which is in 11 days). The university had agreed to wait for my transcript a little longer which enables me to submit the remaining documentation by the deadline and be confirmed for the exchange. IT'S SO AWESOME!!! ^^ I already contacted my friend in Amsterdam and said that I might come there in January and she seemed to be pretty excited too. Yay!
