Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

picture.php

We're off to a good start!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
that would go a long way to filling up the freezer!

I am having problems with MMC again. I click on "Thanks" and am directed to the page saying I need to become a Platinum Member to access a page. y pages also have the jumping bean bangs again--jumping to the right, to the left, ad finally still. I will keep trying, though!

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday! Happy Columbus Day! Happy Thanksgiving in Canada!
:!!

It's a typical Monday morning here. Tired! I was ready for bed by 8:30 last night - I had to fight to stay awake until 10:00! It just gets dark too early now! HA! So I shouldn't be tired today, but I feel like I could use a nap! (won't happen...)

Our meal at the lake Friday night turned out really well. Saturday afternoon we went on a bike ride with friends. Saturday night we watched Mama Mia on the big screen. Yesterday we rode bike at the lake in the morning, then rode bike with my family in the afternoon along the Miami Erie canal to a 40 acre pond. It was a beautiful (though bumpy) ride! Last night we went to my sisters - my BIL made a bunch of chicken halves on his cooker - we had all placed an order for how many we wanted to take home to freeze for a quick easy meal! They were delish! They look dark in the picture, but they really weren't!

Poof - there went the weekend! Not much going on this week that I know of! Dad has a doc appt with a back surgeon Thursday. Makes me kind of nervous. He has a flattened vertebrae in his lower back - they say it's not an operable type thing, but they want an opinion from a surgeon! I hope there is something they can do for him - for the pain! And I sure hope they don't tell him that his days of mowing lawn (riding mower) are over! He could mow 365 days a year & he would be a happy man! So a little prayer for my papa would be appreciated!

Have a great Monday!

I tried to post again, and it didn't go through because apparently I am not Platinum. We'll see if this post gets through! I will try to check in from time to time today.

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high of 70 degree's. I'm going to try and be a good boy this week and stay off this foot since I was terrible about it last week. So it's going to be a pretty boring week for me. I see a lot of Christmas movies in my future though!!!! So that's a plus. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the movies & take care of that foot!!!

I hope it is straightened out SOON for you!!! So far I'm not having any issues this morning. Good luck!

those chicken look good! We often do that, with everyone working now it is easier to have those really to eat meals available.
Pray all goes well with your dad.

Star and Made, I have been thinking about you both. Prayers are being said that you heal quickly. But as you both have indicated, you definitely have to rest it and "put it up"!!! Take care!

That is so smart to plan meals like this. I might have to try this idea! Star, I am thinking of mailing your ornaments this week. I remember the troubles that Undrtkr had with the MMC cookbook, so I want to make sure you get this package! I will let you know when I get down to the post office.

Good morning everyone!

I wasn't able to stop by yesterday. What a busy day! I did, however, hold my own celebrations for the fact that it was one month until the Christmas Season! 30 today and seeing 29 tomorrow will be nothing short of extraordinary!

Despite Thanksgiving being today, we celebrated yesterday - as I believe most people do because of traveling, etc. It was a delicious dinner filled with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and of course, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, apple crisp and a few other delicious deserts. I could barely control myself! All in all, I think it is good that meals like that only happen about twice per year - at least for me... Of course, I will be looking forward to the next one - Christmas Day - even more!

72 days until Christmas Day?! I think I will have to make a massive effort to treasure every inkling of Christmas I see from now on. Not that I don't already, but I think I will have to make an even bigger/conscious effort of appreciation. Hopefully I will be able to go to the Rideau Centre sometime this week to see if I can find some Christmas displays! I'm sure that The Bay may have their Christmas Street on display very shortly!

OK. Well, Kim and I have to drive back to Ottawa shortly. I hope everyone in Canada enjoyed their Thanksgiving and everyone south of the border has done the same for their Columbus Day! There are no remaining holidays until the beginning of the Christmas Season, although some may get Remembrance/Veterans' Day off. Such a wonderful feeling. Our favourite Season will be in here in 30 days!

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all in Canada---and anybody who's celebrating in the U.S., too!

Star and Made, I have been thinking about you both. Prayers are being said that you heal quickly. But as you both have indicated, you definitely have to rest it and "put it up"!!! Take care!

I've been thinking ... maybe Made and Star should watch Christmas movies together to keep them off their feet! Maybe we could send food in to them to keep 'em sitting down.

Seawaters, I hope you're feeling better today. I worry about you when you're not well.

We're both off from work today, so we're working on our own projects---Mr. is downstairs cleaning and checking a film he just bought, and I'm working on various Christmas-prep projects. Time already seems short! Later on we need to go out and order a new stovetop. Our current one was in the house when we bought it, and one burner is pooping out, so it's time for a replacement before holiday cooking begins. It's a GORGEOUS October day out there, so it'll be nice to get out of the house.

MerryCarey, there was some vintage horror on last night. TCM ran Nosferatu and it is now waiting on my DVR for some nice October viewing.
