I forgot to mention that I found a tree to replace the one that needed a new base. It is semi-decorated and is currently on top of my dresser. Wasn't sure I was going to have a tree this year - all my trees are in the attic and I am still not going up there. So happy!!!

That's awesome!!! I bet you are enjoying having it on your dresser already too!!! : -) Oh Palmer...2:30 am! LOL!

Long day running errands and hanging out with my cousin - good stress relief! The pages are jumping all around on here today so it is taking a bit longer to do things. I will answer PMs tomorrow when I have more time. Did not sleep much last night/this morning. Palmer woke me up at 2:30 am to show me her teddy bear. Why, I have no idea. It was rather important to her so I looked at it and then tried to go back to sleep. Early night tonight, most definitely!

Hey all! Things have been super busy and I feel so left behind! WHen I miss a day or two here I feel like I have let everyone down it's terrible!! Anyway we went away last Friday for the weekend to go leaf peeing. It was awesome almost as pretty as New England in the fall. It seems as though winter is here! We are at 40F right now and suppose to get down to 33F tonight. I think we will see snow any day now! Just 2 more weeks to Halloween and I guess you can say we are moving into mid fall now going by the Calendar! Well I better get to sleep because it's my night to get up with the boys plus you know I have work and all!Lol goodnight friends! I will try to talk to yall in the morning!

I wasn't happy when I read about that. At least they're opening at 8 p.m. so employees may have SOME Thanksgiving with their families. But as the opening hour for retail stores has crept steadily backward from midnight, it probably won't be long before most stores decide to stay open all Thanksgiving Day. I'm not happy with that thought.



When the shopping frenzy becomes so intense that people are hurt---or even killed, as has already happened in past years---something's wrong. Christmas shopping can be a fun event, or a frightening example of commercialism at its most violent. As for us---the day after Thanksgiving in our house is for wrapping gifts and preparing gift packages for mailing and shipping, while playing Christmas music and OTR. It's relaxing and fun.

I have to admit I have never gone shopping on Black Friday, but I did work them years 95-98 when I was in college working part time at a retail store in the mall. It was the one weekend us parttimers worked 12 to 14 hour days that whole weekend. I would be livid if I had to be at work at 8pm on thanksgiving night. especially since I was making minimum wage anyways! The last few years we stay at home and just relax and watch Christmas films the whole weekend a lot like yours its peace and quiet and we like it that way!

Yes tonight I was watching House on Haunted Hill! I love it!! I have all of my "Halloween" movies set to record when they come on this weekend!! I can't wait to see Halloween 6 I have not seen that one in years!!! I hope you are enjoying fearfest as well!:!!
