Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cloudy day here with a high around 60 degree's. Not much going on. Just sitting here listening to Christmas music and I have the news on tv with the volume muted. It's much easier to watch that way. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Only on this foot issue. On everything else I'm still with the guys! But I will admit that maybe, just maybe, the ladies know what they are talking about with this foot thing.

Yeah, they probably have a valid point and when I go back to the doctor on the 5th, I'll probably wish that I had listened to them more!!

Howdy! I have been busy and haven't had much time to visit. Got a lot going on the next few weeks, all good stuff! I love this time of year.

Wayne and I hit up the sale at Bath and Bodyworks over the weekend buying candles. 2 for 22 bucks plus 20% off. We bought Pumpkin Cupcake, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Evergreen and Fresh Balsam. I already bought 2 Pumpkin Cupcake candles over a month ago and burned them all the way down. Had to get another!

We reached a high of mid 70's at 11 am this morning and have been dropping in temps today. It will get down to the mid 50's, north winds blowing and rainy all day. I am LOVING IT!!! I have the house opened up and burning a Pumpkin Pecan Waffle candle now with Christmas DVD's playing while getting some chores done.

I hope everyone is having a Merry Day!

Sounds perfect! I am burning a new candle I got as well - Farmer's Market by Yankee Candle. It's a subtle scent, but strong enough I can still smell it. It reminds me of summer/fall - peaches, apples, cinnamon smells. I really like it! I plan on watching a Christmas movie this afternoon!!!

Good evening!
I'm turning in soon, I am very headachy tonight. Just waiting for my oldest to get home from work, she should be here any minute.
My middle daughters job interview went well this afternoon, they offered her the position. I'm relieved that she found something. And she's really happy, she loves the store.
I hope everyone is well, "see" you in the morning!
Goodnight, sweet dreams!

Congrats to your daughter!!! I hope your headache is better today. Have a good day!

Psst ... Better fix that typo before somebody notices it!

Here are some pictures from Yankee Candle village on Sunday:

My boys with a Christmas themed cow, look at those leaves behind it.

Santa Claus with my boys.

A nice fall picture.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Beautiful! I want to go there!!! There is some chatter in our family about a trip to Massachusettes next October to surprise my bro for his bday! Too bad Cape Cod is so far from YCV!

Good morning! I was up and down all night and just said to heck with it and got on up! Today should be an okay day at work not too busy but not too slow either. I am just ready for my morning coffee to kick in because until then I am propping my eyes open with toothpicks basically! I hope everyone has a good early morning! Talk to yall later!

Hope your day at work is a good one. DRINK MORE COFFEE! It tastes great today!

Hello it's me again! Coffee beginning to take affect. I just looked at the 5 day forecast and we are under a hard freeze warning right now...don't really know why its just 34F and not suppose to get any lower than 33F but anyways the next five days are lows in the mid 30's and highs in the mid to upper 50's! and bone dry! No snow yet but the locals say this is normal. We usually just get a few dustings in October the snow pack does not even start to build until mid to late December. Then it's snow on the ground basically until April or March! How many bets I will be sick of snow by April? My wife says that but I still say I love it no matter what!

I'm curious to hear what your going to say by Mid March! hee hee! Enjoy it!!!

well, guess I should get started baking that grooms cake. They are having the rehearsal party Friday. Saturday I need to have the wedding cake done. Actually, the cake is going to be a Volkswagen camper van, the rest is a pile of cupcakes. I hate cupcakes for a wedding, does not look classy at all, reminds me more of a picnic or a kids party than a wedding. A cake is the focal point of the table and looks beautiful. But alas, I must do what the customer wants, so 75 cupcakes it is.

Good luck. We are seeing more & more cupcakes at weddings & less cakes! We have been to a few where they don't have a cake at all anymore. Sad - if for nothing more than pictures & sticking the top in the freezer for the 1 year anniversary!!

Good morning everyone!

Hope all my fellow Canadians had a great Thanksgiving. We did! Had my Wife's Mother, Father, sister and her sisters boyfriend over. They cooked a ham and we made the rest. Bought myself a bottle of creme de menthe. I drink once a year lol. But mmmmmmm it reminds me of a candy cane! This weekend my friend from Windsor is coming down. We are having our 2nd Christmas movie marathon! We had or first one if you remember in July. We are going to start the movie marathon off with "Battle of the Bulbs". Love that movie, and its a Hallmark movie too! Well, better get going. I have to work today. Oh and by the way William is going on his first school field trip to a berry farm today! Exciting times! Have a MERRY day everyone!

PS - 16 days till my Christmas stuff goes up!!!! OMG!!!! BREATH BREATH!!!!

Glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving!! I hope William has a great time today!

Just getting to work. I hope this day goes fast! I am snacking on my triscuit cracked pepper and olive oil and it is so hot my nose is running! But man I can eat these crackers all day! Well I hope everyone has a great mid fall morning!

I love those things! You made me hungry!

I just heard on the radio that Macy's is opening at 8pm on Thanksgiving evening...Boo macys!!! IMO stores should not open until the next morning...it's all about the $$ though...ugh black Friday is almost a thing of the past now!

I totally agree with you! It doesn't give the people who work in retail time to spend with their families. I know I work on holidays, but I choose a profession that does so and I knew that going into my job. I know my sister said when she worked in retail, that Black Friday was the worst day of the year, every year!

Black Friday is a black eye on the holiday season now. (imo) It isn't how it use to be, it use to be a fun day to work. Last year was the first time in all my years of working on BF that I didn't feel safe.

That's truly sad. I feel for you, Xmas.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump Day! It was 62º for my morning walk & 58º by the time I came into work. It has been dreary/rainy all morning but now the sun is trying to come out!

Not much going on - other than work! Last night I made some fresh salsa. I have enough tomatoes for at least 1 more batch - hopefully more. I can never get enough of that stuff.

Tonight I get a hair cut/highlight, then my sisters want to go out for Mexican after. My sis (beautician) is going to cut my other sisters hair while I sit for the color! Sounds like a great plan to me. But that means I'll have to DVR Toy Story of Horror at work! (we don't have dvr at home) Hopefully I'll be able to at least listen to it at work tomorrow. Or I know it's on again a couple more times! Anyway, then I'm hoping to work some more on my afghan tonight. Need to get to the grocery store sometime too! And clean my house before stitch n b*tch tomorrow night! EEK!

Hope you all have a great HUMP DAY/PINES DAY!!! Oh gosh, and I need to get to the Pines sometime tonight too. Busy night!

Forgot to mention I have a "Turkish Cafe" tart in my burner this morning. It smells so good. It reminds me of a "Cappuccino Brulee" candle, which is what I call my "snow candle" - for some reason I always burn that scent when it's snowing. Sure doesn't feel cold enough for snow though!

When the shopping frenzy becomes so intense that people are hurt---or even killed, as has already happened in past years---something's wrong. Christmas shopping can be a fun event, or a frightening example of commercialism at its most violent. As for us---the day after Thanksgiving in our house is for wrapping gifts and preparing gift packages for mailing and shipping, while playing Christmas music and OTR. It's relaxing and fun.

We always spend the day decorating and doing gifts as well. I work Thanksgiving this year, so I probably won't get a lot done on Black Friday, but I will still try to get some things done.

I agree!! It was not the customers that made Black Friday so bad it was the company I worked for. During the year I worked 3 to 4 hours a day and that was fine because I was in college the rest of the time. But during the week of black Friday for 4 years in school I worked 40 to 50 hours the whole week. 12 to 14 hour days the Friday, Sat,and Sun,after Thanksgiving were terrible and it did make me dread it each year! I certainly do not miss that now!!

Hope William has a great time! As a teacher, I LOVED field trips!!! Have fun at your Christmas movie marathon!

I've heard Carl is going to do it up big tonight at the Pines. Apparently his new girlfriend is coming and he wants to introduce us all!

I love cracked pepper goodies. I especially like the cracked pepper potato chips!

Break time! I am now enjoying Triscuit rosemary and Olive oil flavored crackers! Other than that I am reading the internet about the fall foliage and how it is at peak throughout most of the east! This is probably the prettiest week the whole year! oh well I hope everyone is enjoying this time of year as I am...It's only going to get better day by day we are getting closer to the season!

I heard something about a cannon!!
