I have some news!
We just bought a house!!!

And we have to move in by December 1st!
So I can't start Christmas in November as usual this year....

The house we are moving into is outside the City, on the countryside with view to the mountains, woods and fjord
(but just ten minutes away from here)

We are so happy! :-D

Congratulations!!! How exciting , I hope it all goes smoothly for you all!

I've missed y'all this weekend. My son and his friends had a great time on that ghost hunt yesterday. I hope all of you had a great weekend. Goodnight!

It's the Overholser Mansion built in 1903. Next weekend they are telling ghost stories there and we may have to go!

I kind of think that house is beautiful! Sounds like fun Ryan!!!

We just got back from dinner at Bertucci's; (we stopped by there to also see the boy). It was my final (non-diet) meal before my official diet is being implemented by myself, I'm on a one man mission to see if I can shed about 20 lbs, before Thanksgiving and then go from there after-wards.

What is it about age and weight gain? I mean, I'm not really eating anything more than I used to, but now a days, wow, does the mash potatoes really really stick to your ribs! I'll be 50 in about 3 weeks or so, and I'm starting to find out and see (lol), that you just can't continue to pack it away like you did when you were 30, without consequences....

I was just talking about this!!! I am not eating any more than usual but the weight is slowly creeping on. And I turned 45 this summer by the way, so I'm right behind you. I started making better choices a few days ago and I'm down 3 pounds so far. I'm going to try and lose 10 pounds and see how I feel at that point. But I think I will probably want to lose another 10 too. It stinks!

Last night, we attended a dinner in honor of the Elks State President. Dinner was so good. The President got up to give some after-dinner comments and began a speech talking about a person in our District. I was listening and he said this person was initiated into the Elks in 2003 and immediately was elected Leading Knight and served as Exalted Ruler in 2004. George and I were trying to think who that was. He leaned over and said that almost sounds like you, but not quite. Then the State President went on to say, “She served as Piggy Bank Chairman and then later as Publicity Chairman before becoming Piggy Bank Chairman again. She spearheaded a cookbook project to raise money for the Piggy Bank Project that netted over two thousand dollars to help kids with special needs. Her 22-year -old daughter Tiffany suffered a stroke as she was giving birth, and this Elk’s granddaughter was born with cerebral palsy. This Elk has carried on Elkdom, even in the face of her battle with cancer.” He said so many other nice things, but I was crying so much, that I don’t remember all the nice words. I was completely taken by surprise, and was called up to the stage to receive a special pin that is only given to 19 people in California and Hawaii. I also received a framed commendation. It was almost overwhelming! I am still speechless, believe it or not!!!

That is wonderful Seawaters, I am so happy for you! Congratulations!!!

I'm fine but a bit sad because my holidays are over already. This morning I started working again. Luckily my co-workers did a great job taking over my work tasks. Therfore I was able to start slowly in my first work day.

Welcome back Cetacea, hope your holidays were wonderful!

Good Merry Monday Morning everybody! How are you all doing? I hope everyone is doing good.

My son is doing good and back to school, I am just glad it is all over and he is fine.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks . It was my 2nd son's birthday last Monday , I can't believe he is 2!! As Mr Festive was off last week we also managed to get some decorating done. We have repainted and put up new wallpaper. We did it at nights after the children went to bed. It was good to have the distraction and the new colours have really lifted our spirits. It was one of those moments when you step back, breathe in and go ''ahhhhhhh'' . Change can be good.

I have missed you all, I have been meaning to pop in quickly but the days and nights have been so full with different things.

Have a wonderful start to the week everyone!
Have I missed anything big??

Welcome back Festive Spirit, I have been thinking about you. You have been missed! I'm so happy to hear your son is doing well after his accident. And Happy birthday to your 2 year old!
I hope you have a wonderful day :-D

Good morning!
It is going to be sunny today with a high of 64 degrees today. It's going to cool off over the next couple of days. We will dip down in to the 30's at night and have temperatures in the 50's during the day by Wednesday. We will definitely be turning the heat on over the next day or so. The house is very chilly this morning.
My youngest is staying home from school today, she's not feeling well. Not sure whats going on with her, I just let her go back to sleep. I'm hoping she feels better later.
I am going to join a gym today. Wish me luck, lol. I'm going to need it. I am out of breath after going up a flight of stairs. I don't know how I made it through a 5 mile walk yesterday. Probably because we were moving so slow, there were so many people.
Not too much else going on. I may take a ride to Target for a few things. I need to buy Halloween candy, I haven't bought any yet. I better buy what I don't like, so I won't eat it!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Good morning, everyone! How are you this morning? I am well. Just relaxing, wrapped up in a warm blanket, with a cup of coffee and watching a Christmas movie. I have a bunch DVR'd from last Christmas in July and I think I'll do a Christmas movie marathon today.

I was off work last night and fell asleep on the couch around 7. I feel so bad - the kids wanted to have a "movie" party as they call it and have popcorn, but I fell asleep. I did watch Monster Inc. with them, but that's all I made. DH will be out of town all this coming weekend, so we can do it again!

DH is working today, so the kids are at Pre-K & daycare, so I will be home alone, so it will be a nice, relaxing day for me, which I can't lie, I am looking forward to! I don't have much to, except figure out what to do for dinner. I work on that later.

I hope you all have a great day! I am off to read the posts. Talk to you guys later on. God Bless and keep smiling! :-D

Congrats, Seawaters! What an honor - you're very deserving!

Good Morning, Friends of the Season.

Begining another week in the great month of October!

The count figures for today are great, too:
Days to Halloween: 10 (Single digits tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 23 (3 weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 65 (9 weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Closing in, Guys!

Pleasantly cool yesterday.
Perfect weather for an outing to our annual State Fair which is where my sister and I went yesterday.

Yes, they had a Christmas tree display (NC is one of the largest suppliers of Christmas trees in the nation) and yes I took photos!
(To appear soon in the Blossoms thread!)

But cold weather is just around the corner, the weather service says.
At this time, we show a right chilly 43 degrees here to start the day.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody.
And I hope your week has started splendidly!

Counting today, there are 9 more Mondays until Christmas! Darlene on a Monday? Why...thats the best Monday ever!

Woow congratulations! This sounds great. Are you living in Oslo?

Believe me, you have to watch your weight already when you are only 26 like me. Okay, if I would exercies more and eat a bit healthier it would be no problem. :-)

Welcome back Cetacea, hope your holidays were wonderful!

Yes, my holidays were wonderful! Got a lot stuff done, which I had pushing back. Besides the weather was very nice and I could truly relax.

Good Morning MMC Gang

How are you?

I'm fine but a bit sad because my holidays are over already. This morning I started working again. Luckily my co-workers did a great job taking over my work tasks. Therfore I was able to start slowly in my first work day.

Which is quite good because the next two months are going to be busy. In fact, I have something planned on almost all weekends and work will get busier and busier the closer we get to christmas.
yes, all good things must come to an end. Thankfully you have a job to go back to !
I was just thinking about how busy it will be the next few weeks as we get so close to Christmas.
Have a great week back!
