Valerie, Carolyn, and Leslie from Mr. Christmas are going to take a girls weekend to New York City this holiday season. I think I need to be there that weekend!!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a little excitement around here this morning. One of the temp agency workers skipped a couple days from work without calling in, so they let him go. Apparently, there was some friction between him and another worker here, and on his way out the door he threatened to get a gun and come back to get that guy. And he said it loud enough for several of the other employees to hear. So now we're on lockdown, with all the blinds closed and gates & doors locked.

I actually talked to the kid a few minutes ago. I answered a phone call, & he was saying the temp agency won't take him back because he issued a "terrorist threat" here. By the end of the phone call, he was crying and apologizing. I hate it for him; he's young and probably just spouted-off before thinking, but these days you can't risk it. The law is involved, too.

Anyway, my office is nearest to the employee parking lot, so I have gate duty. Yay. LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

That is a scary situation. Like you said he was probably just spouting off but you can't joke about things like that these days.

Stay safe!!! Praying for all of you.

Hope your head feels better soon- headaches are miserable. Wonder if it's the weather change?

Hope M & M's grooming appointments go well, and that the paperwork goes smooth for your daughter.

Take good care if yourself today!!

((Hugs))

Great job getting to the gym! Congrats on the 4 lb loss!!

Hope you head feels better soon and congrats on the weight loss!!!

I hope the headaches subside quickly.

Thank you xo

I was thinking the same thing ... these days you can't just toss off a threat like that lightly and expect people to assume you aren't going to act on it. I hope that's resolved soon. Hopefully he will learn to be a bit more responsible for his words and actions.

As I related last week, we now have our building permit; and things are getting busy around here. It will take me forever to get caught up, but I will do a little at a time. First, though, I have to do my part: get the front room ready to move some of the stuff from the kitchen/den area. Hubby has already packed up the dishes and stuff from the cabinets. I am so glad because that is a job I do not like! We have dinner out tonight at the local steak house at the invitation of our Edward Jones financial planner. We have a place for the crockpot in our hallway in which we have a laundry sink area with a cabinet, so we won't starve, LOL! Of course, lots of meals slated for the local restaurants! I will check in when I can and will take pictures along the way. TTYL

Enjoy your dinner and good luck with the renovation!!!! I can't wait to see the pics!!

Today started out so warm and when we met Jude's friends from school for a picnic lunch at the park, the winds suddenly picked up and the sky darkened.. it was as if fall arrived in an instant! It got so chilly. Loving it!! Now it's drizzly and the kids are eating a cookie (Noel) and homemade pumpkin pie (Jude! The hubby and Jude begged me to bake it, how could I say no??) and wtching a show while I am here, drinking tea! So cozy!!

ChristmasStar, your package was supposed to have been delivered on Monday, October 21. I forgot to check the tracking number until today, and wouldn't you know that the USPS system is having "technical difficulties." I will try again later.

we will get together and have the jet fly in meals for you, Carl offered to do a camel train of food he just wants to know where they can spend the night when they come.

My buddy called in sick to work today and decided to come visit me since he hasn't been over in a while. For some reason he took off though when I started talking about needing help getting stuff down from the attic. LOL!!!!!!!

That's okay though, I was tired of hearing about his woman problems.

That sounds like here yesterday afternoon!!!

Pumpkin pie sounds really good!!! I don't think I have any evaporated milk though. I'll have to add that to my shopping list.

Good afternoon!
I decided to skip the gym after lunch and walk around a lake that's not far from my house instead. It turned out to be a beautiful day. I hope everyone is having a great day so far!

I can understand how shaken you must be after that especially in the middle of the night. I hope you have a good day and a better night.

The first thing I thought after the fire alarm came on was 'If there really is a fire, don't panic'. But yes, it was still quite frightening for first two or three seconds. I'm sure I will sleep well tonight, thank you. :]

Morning! it's raining a lot here these days but very mild in temperature. This week I am trying to continue with my ''to do '' list. The children are off school next week. I honestly can not believe we are almost in November! Once November starts , I'll be honest I just want it to slow down a bit.

Well Christmas is appearing more and more everywhere and I love it. I can't wait to get to the fun things on my list like shopping, decorating, sending cards. Are you all taking part in the card exchange???

By the way ,I forgot to wish my Canadian friends a belated Happy Thanksgiving! How did your day turn out? Hope it was special.

I am participating in the card exchange! I am very excited about it! :] When I got my 'Platinum Membership' as a gift from someone I don't know (Christmas really came very early for me this year), the first thing I did was I signed up for the card exchange. What an amazing idea it is! I bought a pack of amazing Christmas cards from 'Cardfactory' a while ago and I'm now looking forward to sending them out. ^^

Good morning!
It is going to be cloudy today with a high of 64 degrees.
Woke up with another headache today, not a great way to start the day. They have been chronic lately, I really wish I knew what was causing them. Anyway, I can't let it slow me down. After everyone is off to school and work I am going to walk the dogs. Then they have a groomer appointment this morning. I think I will run to the supermarket for a few things while they are there. I don't think I will be able to get to the gym until after lunch. Oh I got on the scale this morning and I'm down 4 pounds so far from cutting out all of the junk! After school my daughter has to run up to her new job to fill out some paperwork, I will probably take a ride with her. She is really excited about this one. She's going to be working in Juicy Couture, cute stuff for girls in there. And then back home to make chicken pot pies for dinner, my youngest has been asking me to make them.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

It looks like a super busy day for you. Good luck!

So glad there wasn't a fire! But sorry your sleep was interrupted.

I suggest chocolates with that coffee!!

Hope you have a great day, Victoria!

Haha. You reminded me my little cousin saying: 'The reason I like Advent is that I can eat chocolate for breakfast'. Obviously because of Advent calendar.

I saved my stomach for chocolate in the evening because I'm now actually having my second giant mug of tea with my friend and we are eating some dark chocolate. (I'm not a big fan of bitter dark chocolate but this one is actually quite nice.) Hope your day is going well! :]

Oh boy, it sounds quite scary! :/ Hope there won't be any accidents or something! I think I would lock myself in my house and wouldn't go anywhere. ;D

Good evening everyone! I hope that everyone is having a warm and cozy evening!

It was raining so badly here today! I guess it haven't rained that badly here for a while. Luckily, it wasn't windy so I didn't end up being completely soaked by the time I got to the campus. I'm siting in my friends kitchen right now, drinking tea and eating chocolate. She is working on her assessment which we have to submit tomorrow. I finished mine earlier today so I'm now doing some fictional writing. I've been having quite a lot of inspiration and good ideas recently so I'm trying to put them all down in fluent sentences. It looks quite weird right now because half of the text I wrote in English and the other half in Lithuanian. ^^ But I will translate everything into English at the end.

Stay healthy and safe everyone!
