I want one of those machines for putting up lights they had on the Grinch, much easier than using a ladder.
A friend of mine was putting up his lights yesterday when it was a really nice day, said he was determined not to freeze his fingers this year!

How is your back coming along, Xmas?

For the first time in two weeks it feels a lot better, a little tight but better. Thanks for asking.

First off, I hope your back starts to heal soon. I have issues with my back and I know how you're feeling. One turn wrong and everything goes out of wack. Try to rest as much as you can.

Congrats on the new car! We're actually going to test drive a Chevy Traverse either tomorrow or Friday. It's like you're car, but with a third row. We like the third row deal for when we travel. We always need the extra room, especially with the dog. She takes up a lot of space! As long as we like it, we're going to get it.

I love the ornament! That was such a great find! I'm sure Made loves it as well!

We were looking at the Traverse also, but it was a bit out of our price range. We loved the idea of 8 passengers, but we are very happy with the Equinox. I fell in love with the Equinox last year when I test drove one.
The Traverse drove great, if it was a little bit lower in price we would have been going with that because of the extra space.

If it wasn't for Made, I would have never even been interested in the Jim Shore stuff, all of his talk about them has made me a big fan of his decor. Thank you, Made!!!!

So things I picked up at our local Christmas shop which opened this evening.

Nice finds, I love the Creche.

I love going to Christmas shops, it is so much fun to me.

Shhhhhhhh! It has been a secret of mine for a little while now. It was time to share with everyone here though. I shouldn't have been so selfish. cheesy

(I honestly have never bought anything through that site, I look almost daily though. I have had a lot more luck on Ebay & Amazon)

Yeah, that is crazy.

I asked our's how they come up with their prices and they said it's just who ever is working in the back that day and what they think it's worth. So i told them they need to give them each an hour to walk next door to wal mart and just walk up and down the aisles.

They could just go online and get a ballpark figure, I would be very leery of shopping there. It is almost like they are skimming a little more "off the top" for profit instead of all of the money made going to the needy. (just my opinion)

Much thanks for the well-wishes about receiving calls for teaching. I received my first call while I was at the gym (at about 5pm). Tomorrow, I officially begin my career as a supply teacher. It will be my first time in front of a class in about a year and a half. Wish me luck!

I agree!!! I only buy books or video's there because there prices are the same at all the stores. I refuse to buy anything else.
