There are still lots if places in this area without power, some schools closed because of it. I have a better view now...

Hydro crews were out removing some siding that was wrapped around the wires

And repairing a light.i am thankful our power is still on.

Glad you got okay through the storm, Star! Praying all of those people's power come back on soon. Luckliy, the storm ended up breaking before it got here and wasn't that bad. The wind wasn't as bad as predicted either.

I am heading out in a few minutes. I'm taking my daughter to the doctor, she feels awful and has a sore throat. I want to make sure she doesn't have strep. She is missing hours today for her nursing program and is supposed to start clinical tomorrow. Ugh!

Good morning!
I am heading out in a few minutes. I'm taking my daughter to the doctor, she feels awful and has a sore throat. I want to make sure she doesn't have strep. She is missing hours today for her nursing program and is supposed to start clinical tomorrow. Ugh!

Glad you guys are okay!!!!! There is lots of tree's down here and some stores lost their signs. North of us though, there was a lot of houses and businesses damaged. There was a school that had it's roof ripped off too.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a sunny day here with a high in the mid 40's. Not much going on here. Just babysitting my sick niece and trying to get some cleaning done so I can finish my decorating. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear the kids being sick, I hope they feel better soon. It's starting to go around now (the yucky stuff), I get to hear about the stories of all the sick people coming to the ER due to my wife working at the labs at 2 hospitals...She said it's a nasty virus going around and she's also getting positive flu tests as well, so make sure you all get your flu shots~ I got mine last weekend...

Good morning MMC!!!

I have a lot of catching up to do here! I didn't get to log in all weekend! But I got a lot accomplished at home. :grin: Our Thanksgiving dinner is coming together - I have the turkey roll in the freezer, I ordered a ham from my bil's meat store, I told the inlaws I am going to make some kind of pumpkin thing (Pumpkin roll/pumpkin cookies - something like that) & also I would make the potatoes. (I have the crispy potato puffs already in the freezer & I'll make mashed potatoes.) And of course snacks! My MIL said she will bring deviled eggs & baked apples. My SIL said she will bring a fruit try & a crock pot of sweet corn (which she cut off the cob this summer & froze) - I'm getting really excited!! I haven't heard from 1 SIL yet or my BIL - though I thought he could just bring a bag of chips or something. Lol! (he's recently divorced) It will be here before we know it!!!! This is the LAST full week of work before Thanksging. OMG! I just realized that! WOO HOOO!!! I better get busy!

I hope you all had a great weekend. Our HS boys football team squeeked out a win in tournament play Saturday night. So now my hubby has a decision to make - we have tickets to the Buckeye game Saturday - Buckeyes or HS football!? Decision, decision!!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and their Monday is going well!

Yesterday my daughter and I decorated the mantle for Christmas...with white lighted garland and some of my lighted snowmen.

May look a little strange for Thanksgiving next week but oh well!! It so nice to be sitting in the dark and have it glowing!

Oh, I haven't been here in so long, it feels so good! Hopefully things will calm down a bit and I'll be able to get on here once in while again. Hard to believe the countdown is at 39 days!!!! This year has gone fast. My daughter started high school, has her first boyfriend, my son that moved out has moved back, he's going back to school, so I hope this degree works better for finding him a job than the last degree did! My step son just renewed his lease for a year, then mentioned that maybe next year he'd like to move back to save money. Easy come, easy go, I guess!

SANDY!!! Yay!! I hope you can come back to visit us more often!! Hope you are doing well!!! Sounds like the kids are keeping you on your toes!! :smile:

I can't believe I forgot to mention that Saturday night I put up my Buckeye tree in the basement!! I had some help! (our friends kids) Here they are putting up the tree...



And here is how the tree looked when they finished (had to go home)


Soooo - I did a "little" re-arranging & here's the final project. (need to get a new tree skirt - that is the Buckeye afghan I made last year. LOL)

Kandice is still coughing...I kept her home from school again....but she will be ready to go tomorrow!!!

My male cat Tiger (he lives at mom´s place) is kinda sick....since Friday (after he got a shot of painkillers and antibiotika for a blatter infection) he throws up a few times the day....other than that he totally acts normal....we are puzzled and afraid.......He is 12 years old now....is an inside cat tho...so I hope we won´t have to say goodbye to him......prayers would be nice

Aw, poor Kandice - I hope this finds her better! I will keep Tiger in my prayers, track! {{{HUGS}}}

Merry Monday Morning! I hope you all had a good weekend. I am very behind on posts so I hope I have not missed anything special or important. The weekend has been hectic. The children are also not very well especially my toddler.

I saw on the news about the bad weather and immediately thought of you guys. I hope everyone is safe and getting through it.

Christmas decorations came down form the loft on Saturday night but I have not started putting anything up yet!
