Merry Morning!! I never got the chance to come back on here yesterday. I have only just quickly skimmed through the posts.

MCEKECA I hope Camden is released soon.

VICTORIA I'm praying for your mum, I know how you must feel. My mum is very far away (14hour flight) and I live in constant worry and fear that I can't get to her if she needs me.

MADE - Praying for your mum, I hope she is doing much better.

Everyone else , praying for all of you and sending best wishes as usual.

Well I have finished my big jobs around the house. I have de cluttered and re organised every room, wardrobe and cupboard and finished all my DIY and deep cleaning! I have put out a couple knick knacks through the week but bigger decorations will go out tonight!!! The tree will go up next Saturday!

No work for me this weekend so we have a festive filled couple of days planned. Tomorrow we are heading down to the Christmas market and a Christmas festival in the city. Sunday we will be visiting another Christmas festival where there will be reindeer!!!! Other than that lots of music, Christmas movies, decorating and food. I am really looking forward to our time together to recharge and get into the Christmas spirit!!

What are you all up to this weekend.

Well I'm off to get some tidying done and perhaps nip to the shops. Lovely bright, dry but bitterly cold day here today. Meant to be like this all weekend to so perfect weather for our outing!

Hope you & yours have a lovely weekend, friend!!

Have a wonderful time at the Christmas Market!!

Good morning my Christmas friends,

I had a really nice day yesterday at work (we had a pot luck) and it was very good and fun. Everything was great until I got home. I walked in the front door and my wife was standing there with all the mail I had stuck in the mailbox at 5:30am for the postman to pick up that day, all torn open and all the checks that I had written were stolen out of them. There were birthday cards for my nephew in there, bills, and prescriptions. Who ever did it, was not interested in them, just the personal checks. So, I filed a police report, called on bank last night to stop payment on a check (which cost me $35.00 dollars to do so). And today I have to call or go to another bank to stop payment on those checks...:-?

I am peeeeed-off beyond all means...If I could have gotten my hands on the little buggers that did that, I would probably be in jail myself right now. Now, I cannot ever put any more mail in my mailbox for the postman to pick up. Come to find out late last night from a neighbor, the very same thing happened to some people in an adjacent community near-by to us last week, and their checks that they wrote to utility companies were tampered with/ altered and cashed at a Wells Fargo in Virginia. Great!!!!

It's always something isn't it??? It's probably someone that doesn't believe in Christmas either.... two words come to mind...Smith & Wesson~

That stinks, friend.

Sorry you guys are going through that.

Prayers coming your way!!

xx

Thank really stinks. I can't STAND a thief. I have a couple more words for you: Browning and Glock. :-D

Nothing is worth camping out at an electronics store for over a week. Black Friday use to be fun, now it is a sickness.

If you join us it would be worth it! When the doors open for business we can just leave and not buy a thing. We can just use the space for free accommodation for MMC party! Be sure to wear your "beautiful" Christmas sweater!!! :D

So sorry to hear this! I would think that if you have a police report the bank would waive the stop payment fee? Did you ask about it? I just know we ran into a situation (not exactly like that but similar) and fees were waived. All banks are different so I guess they would have offered if they had that. That's just awful! I hope they catch whoever did this!

They are having the 50th Anniversary of JFK Observance going on in Downtown Dallas today. I guess we will not be going. They mentioned that 5000 invited guest will be attending and you must have an invitation to attend. I guess our invitation got lost in the mail!

That's a great sweater!

It's time for us to watch "It Happened on 5th Avenue" again. It didn't get out of the box last year. We bought it the year before and watched it downstairs on the movie screen (using the video projector). Victor Moore, who's in that movie, used to play Santa Claus for vaudevillians at their annual Christmas in July party on Long Island in the early 20th century.

Hang in there ... you'll be getting the best of the turkey before long!

Good evening,

One more week to go, and the mad turkey dash is nearly done. Lousy day as they all have been lately.

Watching an old Christmas movie, "It Happened On 5th Avenue," such a great and underrated movie.

I also bought an "ugly Christmas sweater," at Kohls.com, I don't want to lose the ugly sweater contest this year.

Here is what it looks like:

It is more like a long sleeve tee. I like it, just add it to my Christmas shirt collection. I'll post a pic of myself wearing it at some point.

That sounds like a fabulous weekend! I'd love to "meet" a real reindeer!

Nothing special planned for this weekend, except the piano tuner is coming tomorrow morning, and I'm hoping to string lights on our little hedge Saturday. I got a couple strings of C7 lights and am eager to see if they'll be enough. On Sunday the temps are supposed to plunge into the 20s (F)---very cold for daytime this time of year here---with a few snow showers.

Well friends, a big cold front is scheduled to move into our area today and I can't wait! This weekend we are decorating, and our thanksgiving festivities begin. We are heading into my favorite weekend/week of the year!

Isn't it exciting!? I can't hardly believe it!!!!

Do you or Mr. play the piano? You might have mentioned this before but I must have missed it!

I am sure Simon's Cat plays when you are not home!

Hey Ryan! I am not too far from you and we are getting some wintry weather this weekend too. Right now it's in the 30's. I am loving it!!!!!! It might get icy on Sunday.

How awful ... and literally on your doorstep. Hoping the police will get them.

When I put up outdoor decorations, for a few years I have been focusing a flood lamp on the front door. It not only spotlights the wreath, it hopefully also serves as security lighting.
