What a beautiful day here in the NC Smoky Mountains! The kids have played in the snow till they are soaking wet and freezing. Now they're ready for more LOL.

Nancy, mom & my cousin, Fran, went out Black Friday shopping and I haven't seen them since. That's not a good sign for my bank account.

i hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I bet it's just beautiful there, enjoy your weekend!

Good Black Friday Afternoon everyone!

The Christmas Season is in full swing. Those who waited to begin their shopping until Black Friday are probably the final people to become taken over by the Christmas Spirit. How can people wait so long?!

Anyway, I am only stopping in for a quick moment. I am on prep for the final period of my supply teaching day, but I have to fill in for the final half of a class in the library. Too bad, I know. I really wish I could use this to relax. Oh well, hopefully the kids will be good for about 30 minutes. After all, they will be on computers....

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. There is lots to be thankful for! I am currently in Cornwall. I will be returning to Ottawa shortly after school has ended. I don't like having an hour and 20 minute drive ahead of me, but it has to be done!

Have a great Friday, everyone! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you too! Have a safe trip back to Ottawa!

Here is the Christmas tree at the outlets. There is an ice skating rink around it, looks like everyone was too busy shopping today to skate. It looks beautiful lit up, I'll try and get another picture of it at night time.

Good afternoon,

I survived!!
What a long horrendous night, we had a customer yelling at management saying he deserved something for free for being the first in line. Had another yelling because she didn't think she should have to wait in line to get the TV she wanted because she waited outside for 7 hours!!!??! The store opened at 1am for everybody not just for her. You couldn't move, you couldn't think. No matter how organized, and ready you think you are, there is no preparation for sheer chaos. I came home and passed out for 3 hours.
It's over and now I can focus on the upcoming greatest day of the year!!!!
Watching the "NHL Thanksgiving Showdown" Bruins vs Rangers, everyone is out so it is quiet here. I may start setting up the tree so we can decorate it tonight, just gotta find some energy.

I hope you all are having a great and safe day.

It's so adorable! I'd love to have it. ^^

Good morning!
I just had a cup of coffee and a piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream for breakfast. I dropped a few pounds recently but I guarantee I will put it all back on this month!
Not much sleep again last night. Thankfully I don't have too much planned today. I will probably be driving the girls back and forth to work again. This will be the last day I do that, it's just so they don't have to deal with the parking. The outlets were mobbed last night and I'm sure it will be all weekend.
I need to make a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I may put off food shopping until tomorrow. We have plenty of leftovers to get through the day.
I'm also hoping to have some time to myself to go online and look at some Black Friday deals.
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
25 days to go!!!
Have a great day!

What a good breakfast! It has just made me hungry. ^^

Good evening everyone! And happy Friday too! Hope you had a good day. I had a fitness suite induction at the campus earlier. The fitness suite open now after a renovation which was finished last week. It's all brand new now and it's completely free to use for students. I'm excited to go back to my workout routine from Monday. Yay!

But for now, I wish you all a lovely weekend! Best wishes. xx :sparkle:

More proof of the "entitled generation." Where do these attitudes come from? "I am first in line so I deserve something for free?" Okay, here's a free calendar, LOL! I'll bet he would not have been happy with any free thing he got! I guess I didn't know about the "waiting outside for seven hours" rule, LOL! This is almost pathetic! Sorry you had to deal with this!

Glad to have found the "Christmas station" on the local station. Nap time to make up for not sleeping the past week or so. TTYL

This would be a nice addition to the Blossoms thread, H-Girl.

Tell Carl thanks, but when he dropped down that Fulton system, I changed my mind and decided that shopping the rest of the night with the family was better than strapping myself to a huge balloon that a plane can then fly by, grab, and pull me up into the air behind it and drag me along.

I can understand that! But in Carl's crazy world it's nothing abnormal. He would be doing that sort of thing even if he wasn't rescuing someone. What you described is just what he calls Thursday! :)

I'm glad you're alright! Carl mentioned he has something that can wake you up if you're interested...some sort of "coffee" he was brewing. I didn't ask for any more details..,.

there recipeis look great, but I must ask, what makes them Catholic ?

Yay, my post went through. I think the other problem with the web page not displaying was a local problem. It happened with some of my friends here in Willows. Thanks for your help.

glad you are able to get back on! I had a similar problem that was fixed after I did an update on my computer.

Oh, I came across Michael Buble 'Christmas Album' at 'WHSmith' earlier today. I was thinking of getting it but I then decided to listen it on 'YouTube' first and see if I like it. So I'm now listening to it and I think that from now on I'm in a lifetime relationship with that album and Michael's voice. I'm definitely getting a copy! ^^

Guys,

I swear, your not going to believe this. My in-laws were here at my house, all day for Thanksgiving. They left here and went home and when they got there, they went into their house thru the basement door. Once inside, my mother said that she told my father-in-law that she hears footsteps upstairs. He dismissed that and said that it was just the hot water circulating thru the pipes. So, she continued putting stuff away downstairs and then they both heard it. My father-in-law grabs a hand gun from his lock box and my mother-in-law runs outside and dials 911 to get the police.

The police came and apparently the robbers slipped away thru an upstairs backdoor. The police searched the house and found no one there. Anyway's, apparently whoever it was just broke into the house and just started ransacking it when they came home. They were in the house with the robbers upstairs.... How dangerous was that... My mother-inlaw is a wreck and so the very first thing they are going to do tomorrow is get an alarm system installed in the house.

She said they broke thru the kitchen window. So far, they cannot find anything missing but they are still looking. Terrible isn't it, I'm telling you, it's always something....

Thank God they are okay!

Good evening, Christmas Family!

I lost one of my outdoor cats today so it has not been a very good day. There is some research I need to do tonight so I will bid all of you a wonderfully MERRY evening!

I knew you could do it! Sounds like the crazy night you were expecting.

glad you can come home and relax now.

My first time online today. Slept in this morning, had breakfast, and started in to wrap gifts and pack gifts for mailing. I'm almost done---just have to wait for a gift card I ordered to arrive before I make up the last package, and I'll wrap Mr.'s gifts sometime when he's not home. I still have some cards to write, too, and I'll make some cookies before Christmas.

I might go in to the office tomorrow to decorate around my desk while the office is closed. (Someone may be there anyway---advertising knows no regular hours.) I'm taking Monday off, so I'll have to hit the ground running Tuesday. It'll be nice to come in and have the decorations already up by then. Hoping to decorate our Christmas tree here at home on Sunday or Monday.

Well, I gotta go do a couple things around the house before I sit down for the evening. I hope everyone enjoyed shopping, wrapping, relaxing, or whatever you do on (the day formerly known as) Black Friday.
