Goodmorning Christmas Town!!

So I've been a member of this site and group for a year and a half.... and just now decided to try Tapatalk on my phone and subscribe to feeds. *slaps forehead* When I'm on my computer I'm working and overlook checking the fun stuff I enjoy. LOL

My husband landed in Newark, NJ last night around 10. He is an assembly presenter for children doing anti-bullying and encouraging kids/teens to focus on character, morals and education. For our family though it means he travels the country all school year. Home for 4 days at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Christmas and then we don't seem him again till mid June unless we fly out, but he's doing a good thing so surely can't complain.

I'm hoping my son and I will go get our tree tonight. We're in Florida and being from Pennsylvania, to me it should be hot-cocoa-and-roasted-chestnuts-cool while picking out your tree. I usually try to wait for a cool front for the tree, but some years we'd have to wait till January if that was a requirement. Tonight will be the lowest evening temp of the projected week.

Okay... back to work I go.

Good morning everyone!

Just hanging around for a bit today. There was a call out this morning for a school where I have previously taught. Unfortunately, the assignment was taken prior to reaching me. Hopefully I will receive a call tonight. I'm really trying to work at least 12 of the next 14 days. It is possible, but it is beyond my control.

The snow is fluttering today. It's making quite a beautiful setting. As for my plans today, Kim wants me to go to Target to pick up a new bathmat. Perhaps I can find a Christmas one, too. She must have meant two - not just one! Not a whole lot else is happening, really. I still have to go to Tinseltown to find a few things, but I think that may have to wait until another day. Perhaps tomorrow - after work, of course.

Temperatures here are pretty mild. There was a freezing rain and fog warning this morning, but that was quickly lifted as the weather system seems to have moved toward Montreal. Hopefully everything is OK there.

Well, folks, we're only three weeks away from Christmas Week. The Christmas Season has been flying by. We need to really enjoy it. And, I am sure that everyone here is doing so! Have a great Monday, everyone! Merry Christmas!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! Is it really 11am already? Where has this morning gone? Well it's going to be a decent day here with a high in the mid 40's. So I might go for another short walk. I also have a lot of stuff around the apartment to do and some emails and messages to get caught up with. I want to check out some of the sales online too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Good afternoon, MMC family! How are you all doing today? I am well. Just getting caught up on laundry and keeping the kids entertained.

What are you all up to? Not much going on here today. DH is working. He's working 48 hours straight, which I particularly don't like - he makes me nervous when he does that - I get worried about his sleep, but he reassures me if he does get busy, they would let him nap if he needs it. I was off yesterday and go back to work tonight. DH will be working until tomorrow morning and he will be off then for 4 days. I will be looking forward to that!

Yesterday, I took the kids to see Santa. EA did well, actually sitting on Santa's lap and getting a picture, so sorry CAH, no picture like last year! :lol: DS however, wouldn't even go near him. He screamed as soon as he saw the big guy. Later on in the day, we went with my mom and did a Santa train. The kids really enjoyed that and DS warmed up to Santa little more there, but still wouldn't get a picture with him. That evening, I just stayed the night at my parents, since I had only had 2 hours or so of sleep in 24 hours. I had about 30 minutes or so drive and I just didn't want to chance it, especially with the kids in the car.

Well, I am going to get the kids lunch and read the posts from today. I hope you're all well and having a great day! I can't believe how fast the season is going. I hope it slows down some. Talk to you guys later on! God Bless and keep smiling! :grin:

Aaawwww love taking the kids to see Santa. Miss it. Noah would go just to humor me, but I don't think he'd do lap pictures. ROFL Don't think Santa would care for the 6'4", 195lb 17 year old in his lap either.

I have SO MUCH to get caught up on. My computer has been acting ugly for the past week. At least at first I thought it was my computer. Now, I think it was our email. I could not delete messages and I would be reading the emails and the screen would jump to my sign in page--a total pain, if you know what I mean. Of course we could not contact anyone because of the holidays, and now we are busy getting ready for the concrete contractor. We talked with him this morning, and Hubby is trying to do all he can to get ready for him. He "put his back out" on Wednesday and has been sitting in the chair with the heating pad ever since. Our chiropractor was out of town until today, so Hubby went in this morning to have an adjustment. The estimate was lots higher than we expected, but the guy is good, licensed, and can start right away. I am going to stay logged in to MMC and hope to post throughout the day. TTYL

I love the Advent season! I do some special readings from "the little blue book" that we get from our parish. It really helps prepare me for Christmas and is very calming.
