Good morning, friends!!

I am starting to feel pretty rough- sore throat, achy, exhausted, chills. And I work all day- please say a prayer that I don't have strep like a co-worker of mine.

Hope you all have a blessed, Christmassy day!!

xx

Darn it. I was hoping you would feel better this morning. I really hope that it's not Strep.

Try not to overdue it at work.

Praying for you, buddy. ((Hugs))

I'm sorry you're not feeling well!
My daughter thought she had strep a couple of days ago but the throat culture came back negative. The doctor told her to start taking Cold-Eeze, maybe you can try that.
Praying you don't have strep!

Wow!!! There's not one but two tree's!!!!

He says this is the fattest Christmas tree in the world-

And a more traditional one that he says is just as tall as the one in Rockefeller center-

the light from these trees was blinding, but Carl did do a good job on them!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

We finally have a Frasier Fur at the house! It's not indoors yet, but it IS, technically, at the house. We can't do anything fun for having to do homework, or go to dance & guitar lessons. I've been hoping to slow down a bit, so we can enjoy the season. We talk about this every January. Sure enough, Nancy wants to go shopping Saturday (great!), then another trip Sunday afternoon to Savannah to see a live nativity with a local church. I think it would be fun to see, but that's another whole afternoon gone. Oh well.

Enough complaining...it's Christmastime!!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good evening,

What started as a horrible day at work ended pretty well. I was able to talk to one of my supervisors for about 20 minutes and got a lot off my chest. I feel a whole lot better, and I may have really helped myself out in the long run. I had been feeling so down lately, but the talk has lifted my spirits. I am ready to enjoy the season to the fullest extant again.

I have to work in the morning, so I will be heading to bed.

Good night, everyone.
((((HUGS))))
so happy you are feeling better

so what kind of animal is a Frasier, and why do you have its fur in your house?

Sounds like you have a very busy and happy household, enjoy it all!

rained all night, not one flake of snow left here. Going up to 15c (59f) here today. Already 11c and not even 9am yet. A nice day to open doors and windows and air things out.

Going to do a bunch of cleaning around the house today. Hope to also get some baking done.

But first off to the school of hairdressing where they are going to attempt to do something with this mop on my head.

Have a great day everyone!

LOL! OK, I was typing too fast.

Fraser Fir! I had a little brain-slip there.

well, daughter just got asked to work for an hour, so I will be here for another half hour while she has a shower and then drop her off before going to get things done.

Good night, everyone.

So happy to hear this, xmas! I know the work situation weighs very heavily on you. I'm glad you got some of it off your chest, and I hope things continue to improve from there.

Good morning, all!

Day off, as schools are closed due to ice-covered roads. Well, the prediction is that they will freeze soon, which will make for hazardous travel later in the day, when the buses are on the roads. If it doesn't ice, we will have some angry parents.

So, seeing it is an un-planned day off, so no "to do" list has been created, I am going to try to accomplish as little as needed :) , and make it a Christmas-type day (it is coming upon us so fast).

Eggnog is at the ready, and two new DVD's recently arrived from Amazon will be in my DVD players soon: Perry Como Christmas Speciall (from 1974, w/ The Carpenters, Peggy Fleming, and Rich Little) and The Dean Martin Christmas Show from 1968, w/ Lucille Ball, Jimmy Stewart, Jack Benny, Tony Bennett, and Johnny Carson, among others.

Bet it's not too difficult to see where I got the name "Classic Christmas" from, eh?

My kind of stuff! (And Mr.'s, too!)

One word on the Dean Martin Christmas Show: It's a very good show, but the stars you listed only show up at the very end in a montage of Christmas greetings ... the advertising would have you believe that they perform in the show. You'll enjoy it anyway---we did.

You are blessed. I wish we had snow like that here. It would be great to not see the ground until mid-March.

The day got off to a happy start. A co-worker yesterday who knows I crochet brought me a granny-square afghan that her grandmother had made from scraps. The yarn had broken at a few points, and some of the crochet was unraveling, and she wanted to know if I could fix it. I wasn't sure, but I offered to try. Thank heaven for Google! I located a few tutorials, with photos, showing exactly how to do the repairs. I was nervous, because if I failed, the whole afghan would be ruined. But I took a deep breath and was able to repair the three danger spots. My co-worker is on Cloud Nine over the repairs, and I feel so good that I was able to do it successfully and rescue her heirloom. It's a very Christmassy feeling!

we have that happen from time to time here too, but I find the parents are a lot angrier when they are not cancelled and the kids and drivers are put in danger trying to get home in bad weather.
Enjoy your day off!
