Just checked the updated forecast for around here. 6 to 10 inches of snow expected Saturday evening into Sunday morning. So it'll look very Christmassy around here soon. There's still a little snow on the ground from earlier this week, and it was nice while making cookies to look out at snow and listen to Christmas music. Now it's time for a Christmas movie, I think. And I SHOULD sample those cookies to make sure they came out just right.

Goodnight everyone! We are just getting in from the airport in Salt Lake City which was a complete nightmare getting her luggage....but we are home now. We are going to go to bed and watch tv cause it has been a long day for everyone! Maybe I will get up in the morning and cook a big country breakfast! Hope everyone has a good night!

Hi everyone!
I was hoping it wouldn't be too hectic here today but is. I had a doctor appointment this morning (just an annual exam) and then I had to bring my middle one to the doctor because she is sick again. She has a horrible cough and was up all night. And she woke me up at 2:00 a.m. to tell me she couldn't sleep. Then I couldn't sleep. I listened to her cough until my alarm went off at 5.00 a.m. At least the doctor said her lungs sound clear. I guess it's just going to take some time to go away. Anyway,I'm just trying to catch up with all of my chores now. I wanted to make beef stew in the crock pot but I didn't have time to throw it together this morning. I'll have to make it on the stove top later.
I hope everyone is well and having a great day. I will pop back in later tonight!

The foot is better. It still hurts if I walk a lot but I can make it through the grocery store and stuff like that without pain now.

We are without electricity, and have been that for almost 24hours!!!
And It's 28f outside!
We had a storm here yesterday.
And we don't know when the power is up again

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a little bit warmer today with a high near 32. Hopefully it gets warmer than that. We haven't been above freezing in over a week. We are supposed to get another 3 to 6 inches of snow overnight and they are saying that it's going to be a heavy snow. Yuck!!! That's not what I need. I have way to much to do tomorrow and one of those things includes an hour drive each way to go with my sister and niece's on a polar express train ride. So I really don't need the roads to be bad. Thankfully there's not much on my agenda for today. I just need to do some things around the apartment and then run to the grocery. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

My mom is going this morning for a sonogram to check for ovarian cancer. We had a family member who passed away from it years ago. I'll keep you updated when I know anything!

I will keep her in my prayers Jennifer.

Well I just got my world rocked.

My husband called to tell me that our business partner wants out of the partnership. I used to run our entire business for about 10 years. I've had the last 3 years of someone else handling the bulk of it and its been such a blessing allowing me to focus on other things with Noah and my own business. This means that not only does it all fall back to me, but the expansions we've developed in the last 3 years as well.

Then he tells me that someone else that we work with has arranged a Vegas style show to take place starting in Dubai next summer, touring internationally and he's one of the performers on it.

Then he tells me that this same person has been working on a project revolving around the two of us moving to where he lives to become his partners in his business and that's about to come to fruition. This will also be taking place next summer.

The last two - I knew were possibilities as we'd discussed it in the past year, but the partner dissolution - that was new. It's kind of a lot to absorb in 20 minutes while your standing there feeling overwhelmed with Christmas lights in your hands. LOL

Just checking in for a quick moment. I don't think I will have an opportunity to do so at any other time today. I am currently on prep while supplying at the same high school I have been since Wednesday. I kind of like it. Again, it's nice to only drive 25 minutes. And, of course, it's nice to become familiar with the staff and students.

In regards to my time being minimal, I have to go to the gym as soon as I return home from work today. Then, more importantly, I will be achieving a childhood dream this evening. Ever since I was about five yeras old, I have wanted to see the Barenaked Ladies live in concert. From the first time I heard "Enid," I fell in love with the Canadian band. Nowadays, I still enjoy them, but not nearly as much as that five-year-old. I can honestly say that they were my first favourite band.

Anyway, this evening, Kim and I will be seeing the Barenaked Ladies at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Hits and Holiday Songs! As many of you know, their album Barenaked For the Holidays is one of - if not top - my top favourite Christmas albums. Seeing them play their Christmas songs live will be yet another dream come true. I can't wait!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday. We're really closing in on our big day. Of course, we're also so close to reaching single digits! Merry Christmas, everyone!

It was an extremely busy day at work, people are panicking due to the fact we have a snowstorm coming in tomorrow. They are calling for 6-9 inches of snow and I saw people buying 3 gallons, and 5 gallons of milk at one time. This is New England, were use to snow here and everyone is acting like it is the apocalypse coming. cheesy
I have to go in early again tomorrow, it will be busy until the snow starts flying.
I ordered "Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas" DVD a few weeks ago, and it finally came in today!!!!! We watched it tonight, and my boys were shocked that everything was made of clay. Watching it made me feel like I was 12 years old again, it was so nice to see it again.

I went food shopping this evening because we are expecting snow tomorrow too. I had nothing in the house, I usually go on Saturday and didn't want to deal with it tomorrow. But I know what you mean about people getting carried away, it's the same way here.

Good evening!
I'm turning in soon, just waiting for two of my girls to get home. We are expecting snow tomorrow. The girls all have to work and I'm a little nervous about them driving in it. They all have different shifts so if I decide to drive each of them I will be going back and forth to the outlets all day! My middle daughter also has an appointment with at a local college in the morning. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be another hectic day.
I officially finished Christmas shopping for the girls today. I placed my last online order. Lots of wrapping to do now.
