well the cakes are done, will post pictures later.
Still have to put together the goodie trays, all the cookies are baked so I just have to put it together. Got some nice plates at the thrift store so hope it all looks ok.
Now I am really tired. Cakes get picked up at 9:30 and we have to be ready to go by 10. Pie is baked, salad needs to be put in a nice bowl, and not sure what else I am going to bring, will see what we have.
Now to go and pick up my daughter from work and crawl into bed.

Well it's been a long day and the grocery store was crazy tonight. So I'm going to call it a day. I have a lot to do tomorrow, so I don't know when I will be on. So I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!

A fine suggestion! We have "Babes in Toyland" in Blu-ray!

Stan Laurel's daughter Lois had a birthday this week. She's now 88, I think. A great lady with her father's sense of humor. And she married a comedy writer in the 1980s. (Her first husband was Rand Brooks---Charlie Hamilton in "Gone with the Wind.")

We got a special "Gone with the Wind" DVD set that includes the TV movie "The Scarlett O'Hara War." We were going to look At that tonight, but that particular disc won't play---we'll have to send it back for a replacement. Boooo!

If we get the snow they're predicting, tomorrow afternoon and evening will be great for movies.

Spent a lovely time in the peace of this morning writing up my fortnightly menu while watching I'll be home for Christmas and Holiday wishes. After a quick dip in the pool I've done about 90% of my christmas groceries so I can start homebaking. I really don't want to go near the shops as we get closer to Christmas break. It's like people think they are going to starve and are ransacking the shelves making a right mess.
I have some special cuts of meat to find tomorrow which will freeze fine but I'll leave the ham 'til next Saturday.
Found some movies to add to my collection Saving Santa and 3 day Christmas both new to me.
Going out for dinner tonight and then back to watch one of my new movies. Cheers everyone.

Days to Christmas Day: 11 (SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow!)
Holy Holly, Batman!

Still coolish yesterday but with plenty of sun, no rain and calm winds.
Could be cold and rainy all day today, however but dry tomorrow.
We shall see what develops.
We have begun the weekend at 39 degrees here in our sector of MMC.
