Christmas in Connecticut is starting right now on TCM!

Oh I looooooove that movie!!! Saw it for the first time when I was 17 and have bern in love with it ever since. I bought the HD version off Google movies about 2 months ago. LOL

To this day I still use the phrases, "Is catastrrroph!" And "Pitchy-potch." I just adore Uncle Felix!!

Good afternoon, everyone! How are you all today? I am doing well, just been spending the day with DH and the kiddos, watching Christmas specials all day. I am doing absolutely nothing, but that!

What is everyone's plans for the rest of the day? I hope what ever you all decide to do and have planned, is full of Christmassy things. This is my favorite time of the year. This is my last night of work off, I work one, then I am off Christmas Eve. I am looking forward to just relaxing tonight and doing nothing!

Well, I am going to keep watching Christmas in Connecticut. I think I'll make a bowl of popcorn too to enjoy with the movie! Hope you're all enjoying your day! God Bless and keep smiling!

Good Sunday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's 83° outside, just like it was yesterday. I cut grass & cleaned the pool like it was summertime.

You're depressing me Brad. LOL I opened the back door to say something to Noah who was outside and closed it just as quickly. It wasn't that important. I can wait till he comes inside instead of feel that awful heat.

I watched a show on tv called Craziest Christmas Lights where 3 (or was it 4?) houses in Britain showed us how they stored their lights and decorations all year and then how they spent time organising their displays and what it all means to them which all boiled down to sharing with the people around them and doing their bit to raise money for worthy causes. Thankyou guys, I enjoyed it here in Australia too!!!

I would love to be able to put up that many lights, it would be so much fun!

Good Icy Sunday morning, Christmas family!

My goodness, it was very beautiful out this morning. Of course my camera wasn't charged so I wasn't able to take any pictures. Now there is a lot coating of snow on all of the ice - still pretty out, but not awe inspiring any more. I thought for sure that the local radio station would be full of news on the ice storm, but apparently a bit further north of me they got a lot of snow and thousands of people are without power. Driving is hazardous, although the county trucks are out in force (not by me, of course. They probably won't make it here until after Christmas!). All the Christmas plans I had made with family have been canceled due to the weather and there isn't going to be any rescheduling because of work schedules.

Well, I need to get this computer charged just in case there is a power outage.

we are watching Christmas specials today too. Love just relaxing. We went to the store briefly when I have to take my eldest to work.
Picked up 2 noma 4 ' high Chrsitmas trees in a pot with 50 lights each for only $10, Regular price was $100. My girls shared the cost as they each wanted one for their apartments.

What a buy! DH and I are going to have to run to Toys R' Us tomorrow. We need diapers and we have a really good coupon for there. We'll brave it and go!

Ugggghhhh! I know, it was in the 70's around here today with 100% humidity. I was even driving around today with the AC on.....crazy weather!

I'm finally starting to feel almost like my old self again, running about 85% there.... I swear, I feel like I had a touch of the flu, but how could that be, I had a Flu shot???? I had aches and pains all over my body, I was worn out, had no energy, thirsty all the time, one minute I was cold the next I was peeling clothes.... Maybe I'm having some king of a mid-life changing that's going on....

So I'm sitting here looking at the calander, "What the....Christmas is omly like 3 days away!!!!!". This is what I'm thinking to myself! Boy, it is really chugging along now; the time that is....

Well back to work tomorrow morning, I'm jealous if anyone has off... Have a great night all and I'll see you's tomorrow~:wink:

Glad you're finally starting to feel better.

Yeah I just cannot believe how quickly it's going. So excited for Christmas day and yet sad knowing how soon it will all be over for the most part. I celebrate Epiphany so I do have some celebration still left, BUT no one else does so again everyone just thinks I'm odd.
