Some freezing drizzle possible tonight.

A sharp cold front will cross through Southern Ontario tonight with much colder temperatures following its passage. Freezing drizzle is possible over Southern Ontario with the passage of this front before changing to flurries.

The freezing drizzle is expected to be fairly light but may still cause locally slippery conditions on untreated surfaces.

I was talking to my brother earlier and he said that there was freezing drizzle out this way earlier this afternoon. Stay safe!!!

Good evening, MMC!

The almost-migraine I had earlier today is about gone so I have been trying to get done all the things I was supposed to have already finished. For some reason I am moving very slow, though. Earlier today I took a walk around the yard - one of the pine trees had several limbs that broke from the weight of the ice and snow. It was rather sad to see as I've always thought that tree looked happy. I really hope the tree can recover from the breaks - I'm sure if any tree can this one will!

It feels like a fresh new world when pain abates doesn't it? I love trees and plants of all kinds. Are pine trees resilient? I would imagine they must be to survive extremes of temperature ...

I've been excused for being too far from the courthouse or having littlies but I'm sure they'll look me up again soon. Most of my workmates have been called multiple times.

Hope you all had a wonderful day! I ended up working about 13 hours and am not as tired as I thought I would be. DH and I are just enjoying movies on Hallmark. The kids will be at school tomorrow, so we plan on just relaxing and maybe just doing some more after Christmas shopping.

I don't call 10% off a sale! These trees were originally $99 aussie dollars and that's without the ornaments and on close inspection it's wire and loose glitter. 50-75% off elsewhere so I got some lovely stuff. Not actually what I needed but an excuse to keep looking

13 hrs you must be past exhausted! How do the school terms work where you are? In Australia the kids have 4 terms of 10 weeks each and in between they holiday so they don't go back until end January 2014

The radio station that was playing Christmas music has gone back to it's regular format today. I thought they would kind of ease back into it, maybe keep it going to the New Year or something. They mostly play classic rock, which is what I like, but I am just not ready to go back to it yet.

That always makes me sad, which is why I haven't checked yet...I'm keeping my Christmas cd's in my car. Perry Como right now!

After seeing all the posts about The Bishops Wife, I got curious since I've never seen it. Checked around and found Amazon Prime had it for free viewing. So I watched for the first time ever this afternoon. It was absolutely wonderful!!! Thanks for the recommendation.

I love this movie and didn't get to see it at all this season. They only showed it on movie channels that I don't get. I also LOVE the book that the movie is based off of.

Back to work tomorrow---but then comes New Year's Eve and New Year's Day to celebrate!
After that, I may need a little support ... packing away the decorations is a sad and lonely thing.

I agree! Mine stay up until Jan 7th. Not ready at all to take them down! I am going to have a rude awakening when it's time to go back to work b/c I am SO enjoying staying up late at night with no lights except Christmas lights on & a good Christmas movie on tv! Alarm clock? What's that??

You ARE a true friend Brad! Bi-Polar is a horrible but manageable disease. I hope after his time in jail/dry out your friend realizes that he CAN do this. I have a SIL who is bi-polar - well maintained through meds & I just love her to death. She's great! At one point she thought she had it all under control & stopped taking her meds. Bad, bad, terrible idea!!! Sending prayers up for you & your friend!

[Holiday]

Good late evening/early morning MMC! Hope you are all doing well. We had the last of our Christmas parties today. All 2013 Christmas parties are officially in the books! At this point I am happy & I am sad. That was a lot of running...but a lot of fun too! My hubby has to work tomorrow (Monday) - he is off Tues & Wed - we both go back Thursday. Already dreading that. But at the same time, I'm happy to have a job to go back too!

This past Friday night we had my family over - whoever could make it - since it was the last night my bro/sil would be home. We had such a great time. We also had our neighborhood house hopping that night, which we didn't make it too until late b/c my family stayed way later than expected, but that was great - we needed that! Anyway, we caught up with our neighbors at the 3rd house, we stayed out too late & we had a ball! Saturday morning my friend & her daughter came over. Her daughter used our internet to upload some of her artwork for a college scholarship (theirs is really slow) & my friend & I hung out -she did some stitching on blankets & scarves while I made salads & snacks for our Christmas parties. Last night was Christmas with my cousins on my Dads side (party was at my brothers house) - then our friends came knocking on our windows about 10:00 last night. Crazy nuts stayed too late but again, we had a great time. Today we had Christmas with my hubby's family which was very nice. Tomorrow I am taking my great niece & 2 great nephews to see "Frozen" & I am really looking fwd to that!!! Looking fwd to Tues & Wed when my hubby is off work. He needs some time away from UPS! :-?

I'm watching "Meet The Santa's" right now - for the 9th time this year (exaggeration) but I still love it! I'm getting a little sad that there are only 3 days of Christmas movies left on the Hallmark channel. Good thing for DVR!!

I hope all is going well for all of you & you are still enjoying some fun Christmas/ Holiday activities!!!!
