Take care, MC. I am sure you will enjoy your lunch and ice cream. I visited Friendly's many times one summer when I was with my aunt in Groton, Connecticut.

It is a bee-yootiful day out there---sunshine and up into the 60s. We have our windows open to let in the fresh air and blow out the cold germs. It's nice to hear birds again! We're going to drive to Friendly's for lunch and some ice cream shortly. (I have to eat hearty today, 'cause tomorrow all I get is clear liquids and Jell-O---prepping for a minor procedure on Monday. Nothing to worry about, it's just a test to establish a baseline. Goes with the age bracket.)

We have been having sunny, breezy days (finally no rain in sight)! Most of the time is spent outdoors being the lookout and gofer for the guys. We almost have the trusses up, but it is sort of slow because those things are really heavy! We have passed all inspections so far with only a few more to go! Yeah, us!!!

I have two appointments tomorrow and Tuesday with my oncologist to get my Zometa IV infusion. Yuck! On the good side, we will be staying with friends and will go out to dinner with them.

Do you think the snow will stick, Snowflake? How is Harlowe?

I don't think the snow will stick too much. Although, we are cooling down this week. Had 60's last week, now back to highs in the 30's and 40's. According to next week's forecast, we should get back up to the 50's. Fingers crossed!!

Harlowe is doing well, thanks for asking. She is loving the warmer temps, and spending more time on the deck, watching all of the neighborhood kids & dogs walking by!

Then I get to just lay around and relax, listen to the rain and do nothing.

You are always so busy, HMG! I am not doing a lot of chores lately because of my energy level, but as soon as the house is completed, I will have to (probably) have some energy drinks to get caught up and to keep the new addition looking good. We are continuing to look at appliances, other than stoves, and we are slowly reaching decisions. HMG, and others, what kind of dishwashers, refrigerators, microwaves, and garbage disposals do you have? How do you like them? Would you make a different choice? We are definitely looking for a fridge with French doors. Yesterday, we went to Chico and looked at back doors; I could not believe the prices--the one we picked out (French door, again) is almost $800!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I was in the wrong occupation before I retired!!!

I am relaxing and having a cup of coffee but I need to head out soon. I have to go food shopping and I want to get there early. Other than that it will be a typical day for me. I have some chores to and a couple of errands to run. The girls will all be working for a few hours and my husband will continue to work on the kitchen cabinets. Hopefully we'll all be able to meet up for dinner. I'll pop back in later. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Good for your mom. Hubby goes in two weeks to see his doctor who has been talking about the "pump" for him. Hubby says "no way" until the house is completed!

You might not believe this, but one summer when I went to camp there, I was the ONLY girl who could swim (my parents managed a boat landing). The lifeguard was so handsome and became my boyfriend. That was a wonderful summer!

Just a few miles down the road, Seawaters.
Still a nice place although we have not been out there for several years now.
Lots of picnic space, hiking areas and you can rent a boat to take out on the lake.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day here with a high of 78 degree's. Then rain is going to move in overnight and we may even see snow flurries by tuesday. Not to much going on here today. Just need to run into Toys r us to get a few things for my niece's birthday next weekend and then I want to stop by harbor freight. Good afternoon! What a beautiful day!

My sister sent the ham recipe this morning, so I wanted to send it on for those of you who were asking:

Bone in Ham Butt (I used a 9 or 10 # ham)
1# brown sugar
1 onion coarsely chopped

Place ham in oven bag (like you'd cook a turkey in). Throw in the brown sugar and onion. Tie bag closed and cut small slit in top of bag. Place in pan on lowest rack. Cook at 325 degrees 30 minutes per pound. Turn off oven and let set overnight (or 7 to 8 hours). Remove bone and shred ham.

Hope this finds all doing great! Stopped by yesterday, but it was just for a bit. We had some stuff to do yesterday, but it was a pretty cool day. Ended up with me on a lawnmower, so it was good stuff. Plus, it had a bit of Christmas in it! We scheduled our Christmas card picture appointment.

Today, it's in-law Easter day! WE are going together and eat. Kinda excited...baby's first Easter!
