Thanks, buddy! We had a fabulous day and today will be great too. The Easter Bunny was wonderful to my kids between my house and my parents. We had an Easter egg hunt at my parents, too!

My family should have came to your house. Where we went for dinner, they were running out of food and it wasn't very good, which it isn't typically like that there. My dad says we won't go back there again for Easter. Hopefully once we get the basement done, I can convince him to start having the holidays at my house.

Awe - sorry to hear that about the food. You should have come to our house...PLENTY of leftovers!!! I hope you can convince your Dad to let you have Holidays once your basement is done!!!

Thanks, Meceka! DH actually got the kids up early and brought their baskets out to my parents, had them open them up there, before went to church and even surprised me with my flowers. I didn't miss it after all. Best hubby and daddy!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! On Saturday we went for our morning walk at the Arboretum then Wayne and I went to pick up my dad for a trip to the historic Downtown McKinney, Texas. While looking around the shops, look what we saw! (Picture below). Don't you love discovering Christmas stuff in the spring??? It was a small section but a pleasant surprise! After that we went out for lunch. That night was our annual tradition of watching the 10 Commandments. Have it on DVD but it's a must to watch on TV! =)

Wayne and I went to Easter church service Sunday morning then headed to work just to feed the animals but we were closed for the day. We left from there to pick up my parents and treated them to Easter lunch. Came home and chilled out for the day.

My grandchildren were in Galveston, Texas for the weekend so I did not get to see them on Easter. They will be here today and I will give them their gifts then. They had a blast!!!

I hope you all had a beautiful Easter weekend!!!

There you go!!!! I use to spend a long time sweeping the parking lot and emptying the trash cans when I worked at autozone on nice days.

Here it is evening already, did a quick read through and see everyone is having a good day.
We are having a great Easter Sunday here. Amazing service this morning at church. Just finished a very tasty supper.
It is a wonderful 19c (66f) and nice and sunny. Enjoying the day with my family.
It is so nice to have all the stores closed today, I miss that on Sundays. So nice and peaceful and quiet.

Finally home from my sister's. The whole exploding tire at 60mph then realizing that the spare tire in your mom's car has a bent rim and doesn't hold air anymore was a fun way to end the day. Oh and the guy at walmart that took 55 minutes to put a new tire on the rim was a nice addition too. It's a good thing that there was no one in front of us. Oh well, what fun is life with out a little drama?? LOL!!!! Well I'm off to eat some dinner then I'll be back to catch up here in a bit.

That's so scary! I'm glad no one was hurt.

Good Morning.

New week -- new count figures.
To wit:
Days to the Season: 206
Days to Christmas Day: 248

And the numbers tell us that we are now under 1 week away from the 200-day Season Window.
What's more, only five days separate us from the 1/3 Christmas Day Milestone.
(Moving right in there!)


Still coolish yesterday but sunny, calm and dry. Not really too bad for mid April, with lots of blooming flowers out.
Should be a nice week here with highs in the 70's and only rain predicted for one day toward mid-week.
We are at 46 degrees here right now.

Things are moving quickly, but lots of rain is in the forecast. I had to have more Vitamin B shots and had to go in for my Zometa infusion--yuck! I finally learned that the Zometa and the Arimidex (the once-a-day cancer medicine that I have to take for five years) are probably the cause of the pain and the tiredness. At least now I know why I am so tired and hurt so much. That is really half the battle! TTYL

I'm glad you know now, how you can hopefully treat it. Hope you and your loved ones had a great Easter.

I am very "texture sensitive" when it comes to food, especially vegetables. I will eat a lot of veggies raw, but cook them and bleecchh! The one fruit I struggle with is bananas, I love the flavor, but I can't get past the texture.
I know, I am strange.

No, I am the same way! I don't eat vegetables raw, but I eat them cooked.

Good morning! I have a really bad case of the "I don't want to go back to work today" blues!!! It's supposed to be a gorgeous day (75º) - ahhh, why didn't I take this day off?? Lol!!!

Gracie was hiding under our bed this morning - I drug her out from under there & she had the hiccups! She didn't eat this morning so I put her food in the cage with her. She was chowing it down as I was walking out the door for work when I heard her throw up! UGH! So I got that cleaned up & put a new towel in her cage for her & I was about 5 minutes late to work. Maybe it was just too much Easter candy?? Ha ha ha! (This made me think of LC :smile

Jay did make an appearance at Easter & he looks really good! They probably stayed 1 1/2 hrs. Everyone was SO happy to see all of them & he is extra thankful right now! My brother mentioned that today could have been the day after the funeral, instead (thankfully) it was a great day of celebration! And what a beautiful day it was! It was almost HOT sitting in the back yard. (not complaining!) I had to break out the shorts today. Love it! After the family left we sat outside in our neighbors back yard with 3 other neighbors/families. What an awesome day!

So glad to hear Jay made it to the party. What a blessing that was for everyone.
