I'm not caught up yet, but I'm going to take a minute to jump in & say Good Morning MMC!!! :) I hope you are all having a great morning!

Last night was a productive night. I got things cleaned up that didn't get done after the party Sunday night. I met Jim at the garden & we planted 3 types of lettuce, radish, sugar peas, 3 types of carrots, kohlrabi, candy onions, german butterball potatoes & red beets! So glad to be that far along with the garden - FINALLY! We got home around 9:00 & I took off on a 3 mile walk with my neighbor. It was so nice outside, I just didn't want to go in! So I had supper at 10:00! LOL! Today is not going to be as nice with a high of 58º & crazy wind! Sun was out earlier but it's pretty dreary looking now!

Make it a great day everybody!!!

:notice:

Good morning!!!
I'd say you had a productive night!!
Good for you guys =]

It is very windy here, too. Stay safe & don't blow away!! ;)

I'd prefer to stick around a little longer than that too but everyone around me is convinced that I am going to die when I go camping over the first weekend of May.

LOL!! I just may too!

Hope you have a great day too snowflake!!!

Merry Tuesday!

I woke up this morning feeling a little glum. My eldest is back at school today and hubby is back at work. The weather has also turned so it is dismal and raining. But I am already feeling better in spirits. I am so glad I have you all here for company :)

I have a ton of work to get through so it looks like a day in front of the PC. Fingers crossed my youngest will let me!!!

Ok well I will probably pop in again later. I am sorry if I missed any important news, I couldn't read/reply to all the posts.

Have a pleasant, easy going day everybody!

I can understand why you were feeling a little glum, but hope you are feeling better now!! Good luck getting your work done & have a great day!

Coffee flavored peeps! Yabba!!! Just ate 9 dozen,,,, omggggggggggg

Send me some!

mornings come to early sometimes, it is still dark out...and its raining. I have to pick up mom at my brothers this morning, she has a routine appointment at Dr. at 8:30am. So I have to leave here at 7:30.

So for now I am enjoying a cup of lemon honey tea, watching cake boss and trying to feel better.

Hope your Moms apt goes well! Have a great day CS!

Good Morning, Drawing-Near-to-Another-Milestone Friends.

Yep.
We are.
We really are.

Just look:
Days to the Season: 205
Days to Christmas Day: 247

In fact, we are just barely over half a week away from the 1/3 Christmas Day marker.
Add a day to that, and we arrive at the 200-day Season Window.
(Getting mighty close to a rare double-day Milestone event!)

Real nice here yesterday with our high in the low 70's, gentle breezes, no rain and lots of sun.
"Enjoy it while you can" they say.
And they're right. Because today sees rain and cooler temps return.
We have started out at 49 degrees here in central NC.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, All!

Thanks Crown! Enjoy the nice weather!!!!

Ahhh!!! Summer is coming way too early here. It will be almost 90 degrees this Saturday! The low in the morning will be in the 70's. Triple digits will be here soon. I need a summer home up north! =)

I hope you all have a great day!

Oh my! That's warm! I think I told you this before but I remember coming to San Antonio the end of April & it was something like 106º a few of our days there. WEW!!! Stay cool!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to do some work on my after-hours business yesterday, but I really needed to be on the lawn mower. My yard looks terrible! Nancy says I should put Jacob on the mower, but I have a specific way I like the lawn cut (45° to the street), and I can't trust him to do it correctly. LOL

I think I mentioned that this year is the 100th anniversary of our county, and each city in the county has a designated week of celebrations at different times during the year. I wanted Christmas, but the centennial committee didn't plan for a Christmas celebration.

Anyway, our week is the first week in June, and we're hosting passenger train rides from our historic depot, along with other displays, vendors, etc. It should be lot of fun!

We were remodeling city hall in anticipation of all the people, and our contractor just quit to take a full-time just in Atlanta. Now I have to meet with a new contractor at lunch, so no rest for the weary.

I hope y'all have a great day!

LOL! You would be a good teacher for Jacob! He can mow our lawn too! :- )
No Christmas celebration? What were they thinking??! Yours sounds really nice though!! Good luck with meeting the new contractor - hope it all goes well!

I just found out we will have a cool down next week with lows in the 30's in the morning so I am happy about that! =)

Yikes! From 90 to 30! That's a shock to the body!!!

Evening all! Hope your day is turning out to be a good one. Mine turned out to be not so productive on the work front as mummy duties took the lead.

The children are snacking on a bowl of fruit while I gorge on a tin of pringles LOL ! But you know how it is once you pop you can't stop. I am about to start dinner. Barbecue chicken drumsticks and Mexican rice with salad........

Yum!! On my way ;) Dinner sounds amazing!

Enjoy your evening, Sam!

I understand that. Between my sisters & my brother we have started hosting all the holidays, except Christmas Eve which remains at my parents. But there is talk about moving that this year b/c it is very stressful for my parents now. They feel their house is too small, but it's really just fine. But at 85/86 years old, we won't argue! Makes me sad, but I do understand. My brother (in Cape Cod) mentioned having it at our house after our new addition is done. That wouldn't be all bad!!

Yeah, I can understand what you mean. I'm sure it will be hard for you - there is a lot of sentimental value there, but it will be a lot easier on your parents. My parents are in their late 50's, so it's really not the age issue, it's just the room and the stress.

Hope you have a great day too snowflake!!!

I gave our grandchildren their Easter Baskets yesterday. You would think I gave them gold! I didn't give them a ton of stuff either! They kept thanking me over and over and over! I kept getting tons of hugs too! They thanked me off and on for nearly an hour then again when they left. I just love the way they appreciate the little things in life! It warms my heart! cheesy

That's so sweet!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another lovely day here with a high in the mid 60's and hardly a cloud in the sky. Not to much on the agenda for today. Just more cleaning to do and then hopefully I'll get to spend some more time out of the porch tonight. I can't stay out there to long though. Deadliest Catch starts back up tonight and they said this is going to be one of the most drama filled seasons yet. So I have to watch it!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

You must be a little warmer there than we are here!! Hope you get to spend time on your porch tonight!!! LOVE IT!!!!! Have a great day!

I'd prefer to stick around a little longer than that too but everyone around me is convinced that I am going to die when I go camping over the first weekend of May.

Just don't do it!!! Come back & prove them all wrong!

Sounds like you had a productive night!!!!! Hope you have a great day today and can enjoy this beautiful weather!!!

We did! Thanks! Hopefully it will warm up a little this afternoon. The sun did just come back out! WOO HOO!!!

You can't die too!!!! You have to come give the eulogy at my funeral!!! LOL!!!!

LOL!!! Okay!! ;)

That is wonderful that you got so much planting done? How is your BIL feeling? I hope his recovery is coming along well.

I'm glad to have that stuff in the ground! I texted my sister last night & asked how he did on his 1st night at home & she said it was much better after he moved to the recliner! Hopefully last night he got a good nights sleep! Thanks for asking!

That all sounds great...pringles & bbq chicken & Mexican rice & salad. YUM! ENJOY!!!

My mother-in-law was pickling beets last night, and she gave me a big jar. I love pickled beets and pickled okra!

And then use the beet juice to make pickled beet eggs. Mmmmmmm!!! I have never had okra in my life. :(

Good morning!!!
I'd say you had a productive night!!

You're right! Part of the reason Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year is having the WHOLE family gathered in the house we grew up in. BUT as long as everyone is together & healthy, the location doesn't really matter after all!

Now we are taking!!!!!! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't made them for a long time. Might have to do that soon. Mmm My hubby won't eat them, so they are all mine.
