I drove over to the other county and picked him up this morning and brought him here to see our house for the first time. I wanted to wait until it was good weather until I brought him up here; he's 95.

I wanted him to see the house before construction starts on the back of our home in a week. This is phase 2 out of 3, of a planned renovation that is in order to be done before he can move in with us. Our hopes are to have him living with us by the Fall. Phase 3 is the conversion of our basement to a full size apartment just for him.

I also got the chance today to start bringing my outdoor Christmas decorations here, that I had stored in one of his out buildings. I have one more pick-up truck load to get and then I will have it all here....

So, what's happening with everyone else tonight?

Sounds like a great day!!!! I would give anything to be able to spend a day with my grandpa.

I hope the reno's go exactly as planned!!!!!

Thanks! Yea, me too!!! I'm dumping a ton of cash into this place, I just hope it pays off in the long haul, you know what I mean? Plus, now we are going to also get a pool as well. Above ground type, which means that I will end up most likely, putting a deck around it as well. Oh well, you only live once and you can't take any of it with you when you leave this earth....

I would try!! We could do what Adrian & I always used to talk about while hiking in the mountains. We could never remember if we were supposed to act big and scary, raising your arms up high, making lots of noise, or play dead...so we said we'd each do one way, and hopefully one of us would survive! Haha!

Hmmmmmmm, it almost sounds like your going to one of those roller derby's, if so, then I think you will need D, all of the above......:lol:

Oh, that's right, I forgot, you did say that you like those scary, suspense type of movies.

Not me, if watched any of those types of movies, I would be sleeping with my hand gun in my hand, covers up to my neck and one eye open all night long..... :lol:

LOL!!!!! If my friends are tricking me into coming for a roller derby, then someone better bring a wheelchair!!!! I'm sure to break a leg before the competition even starts!!!!!

Well, the time has come to retire for the evening, I work in the a.m.
