Kandice did not finish in the top 3 of her reading contest.......Which is fine for me....I told her I was proud of how far she came and that I want her to give her best and all is fine......Now she did that......she was very nervous...and hates to lose......little squirrel was crying all the way home

Bless her heart. That's what Elizabeth did the first time she was in a spelling bee. She got nervous on stage and flubbed the spelling. She ran off the stage crying, and cried all the way home. Broke this old dad's heart. :sad:

But she did much better at this year's bee, and I bet Kandice will do better next time, too!

My brother scored a new Edelbrock Performer Air-Gap Intake Manifold for the Camaro today. You may not know what that is, but trust me, it's COOL!

aaaw.....poor Elizabeth.....I am glad she was able to her nervousness under control.....at least a bit .
Kandice is fine again now....I bought her a MCDonald´s happy meal....that consoled her a bit

I love it when a day at work goes really fast, but I dislike it when I don't get a chance to catch up with all my Christmas friends! It's a cold/rainy/windy day here. We have a chance of frost tonight. BOOOO! They better be wrong about that!

There is talk of Frost here tonight too. I think we are close enough to the city to be okay but once you get out a little bit further, they will probably get it.

Good rainy morning! Happy Hump Day!!!! It seems like just yesterday I was posting a Happy Hump/Pines day....the last week FLEW!!!! I'm not sure I'll ever get caught up. I'm feeling out of the loop! :lol:

Yesterday I left work about an hour early & went with hubby to do some loafing. We had the convertible = nice! Finally! We stopped at Kroger to look at their patio furniture. Then on to the furniture store b/c we needed new plates for the patio furniture we bought from them a long time ago…but while there we also looked at their patio furniture (EXPENSIVE) & I’m looking for a small table for the tv room. Struck out there too. Since they had plates to fix our current patio chairs we are hoping this set lasts another year & by next year our patio/addition should be complete & we can buy new then! We also stopped at Walmart to buy a fireproof safe for our nephew for graduation & then to Menards to look at a few kitchen things. Then we ate Mexican… LOL! It was a fun little trip! Got home & walked 4 1/2 miles w/ my neighbor. Got home just in time b/f it started POURING! It was nice to have the hubby around more this week, but he want back to work today after throwing his back out Friday, so hopefully that is going ok!!

AND now I'm off to see how many posts I can read before heading to lunch. Hope you are all having a great day. Can't wait to see you all at the Pines tonight!!!!

Hi everyone......

Kandice´s school was closed today, because some meeting of teachers of several schools......of course....no need to say that the little squirrel was mighty exited....hahaha

I think my cold has gotten slightly better........I´ve been inhaling wick´s vapor type of stuff....drinking a lot....and haven´t smoked since last Friday.....I actually suspect when the time since I smoked gets bigger....everything will get better.......stupid me.....of course I know it´s unhealthy....but You kinda put it in the back of Your head......I can quit if I want to....of I can quit in a few years.....lol....I hope I will have the strenght to do it this time.....for good!!!
