DD is in Girl Scouts & the patches are now iron-on, thank goodness!



Today is DD's birthday & she is 9 years old. I told her she is halfway to being a grown up, so this is our "summer of responsibility & independence". We trying to get her to take care of herself & her things more on her own. Being an only child, she's had me to do everything for her because it's easier for me. I'm trying to let go & let her learn how to do things so she'll be able to get along without me someday! She took her first car ride this morning without any type of car seat---just a seat belt like a big kid!



I've been listening to the podcast & Christmas music while walking at night, makes the time pass more quickly.

I am taking it easy again today, my foot doesn't hurt as much it did over the weekend. I am really hoping these few days off let the pain dissipate by Wednesday.



Watching "Me, Myself, and Irene" before having to pick up the boys, it has been a while since I have seen this one.

A little bit of advice for everyone. If you have a neighbor wiring up a new power switch to your ceiling fan, don't turn the power back on while they have bare wires in their hands!!!
