Christmas Countdown - 2014

[Holiday]

Good evening,

It has been a long day here, I had my dentist appointment this morning, all good. They are rough when they clean your teeth, my mouth has been sore all day. Came home and laid down for a while, and then cleaned up the house, and then mowed the lawn, and trimmed the edges. Ever since I mowed I have been dealing with a headache. Working in the sun always gives me a bad one.

Late day tomorrow, as usual. I received a phone call this morning from a company trying to recruit me, I am still thinking about it, I just want to make sure this is a direction I want to go.

I am sleepy and want to sleep this headache off, sooooooo...

Good morning everyone. Woke up at 4am and now just watching dvr and drinking coffee. Work is picking up due to the plant shuts down the week of the 4th of July. That week is always one of the busiest for me and the other It guys. We have do maintenance on every computer and servers.

Good Morning Christmas Friends!!!

I have my 3 grandchildren for the summer and we are already having fun. The weather is unusually mild, which I love!!! Since it has been nice my mom and I took the kids to the Arboretum Monday and took a picnic lunch with us then to McDonald's so the kids could get some ice cream and play.

Yesterday we stayed around the house. I have the kids enrolled in a summer reading program at the library and they can win prizes logging in the hours they read each week. We read some books and played on the old Nintendo 64. We had a Mario Kart competition. My oldest grandson beat us all!!!

The local library have a lot of events for the summer that we plan to get involved in. We are also going to take advantage of as much outdoor activities while the weather is nice.

Uggghhhh It's pouring outside right now, I feel like a wet sponge, walking to the office; I need a serious cup of coffee this morning~

Morning! Had a little bit of excitement here yesterday...there was a guy the police was chasing and he was armed. He was on foot and in our neighborhood. I was unloading some groceries when I looked out the window and saw a cop running down the street with his gun pulled. Five minutes later, I saw him running back the other direction with his gun pulled. This told me he was chasing someone, but he didn't know where he was! After looking out other windows and seeing a large number of officers in my area, I figured it best to lock the doors. However, they caught him in my neighbors back yard about 30 minutes later. Whew is all I can say!

Not much on tap for today. I do have to write a couple of papers for a program I'm trying to get into, but I just plan on spending a couple of hours a day working on that for the rest of my vacation. Other than that, I'm just going to play around!

I will see y'all around here later!

It is going to be cloudy today with a chance of showers, temperatures in the upper 60's.
Typical day for me, I will be working on my daily chores. I already started a couple of loads of laundry and I'll straighten up the rest of the house as soon as everyone wakes up. I also plan on taking a ride to the mall today. I need a couple of birthday presents, graduation gifts and I still didn't finish my Father's Day shopping. So I'll be busy with that over the next day or two. Hopefully I'll be able to get some down time at some point, I'm awfully tired today!

Some of you may know that Paul McCartney came down with a virus in Japan before he was just about to start his tour. He had to cancel the whole tour there and in Korea. He was suppose to start his USA tour this Saturday and we have tickets for his concert Monday. He has now had to postpone the first part of his tour until he is completely well so his concert here is now scheduled for October. I was really looking forward to the concert next week but his health is way more important! I just want him well! We will see him in October!

He just wanted to see how long he can keep you excited!!!!

Good Morning my wonderful MMC family! I took a vacation day yesterday and spent the whole day, up to 9pm, working in the attic, building a storage platform up there and a storage loft as well. Let me tell you, I was soaked with sweat all day long because it must have been about 100 degrees up there (well that's what it felt like). I got it all done and even started moving things out of rooms to store up there.

I was so tired, most likely over-tired, because I could not go to sleep when I laid down in bed (after I showered of course). I was jacked up till about midnight last night, so when the alarm clock went off this morning at 4:45, I felt like I needed a bobcat to pull my dead butt out from underneath the covers....

I'm doing the roller coaster thing at work, fro 6 months we have been slammed, working all this overtime and such, and now I am sitting here twirling my thumbs, looking for something to do. Hmmmmm, maybe a half-day today???? I'll see how I feel as the day progresses.....

Hope everyone is off to a good start today, me, I'm off to get a re-fill on my coffee~

Well, at 1:00 today, my son's flight is supposed to arrive in Baltimore at BWI airport. He's been at Sheppard Air Force Base, for just about 3 months now, so, needless to say, I cannot wait to see him later this afternoon; I've missed him.

Lisa is preparing a really nice home cooked dinner for him tonight, I got his car all prepped and ready for his return and his bedroom is spotless. He will be stationed in Baltimore County on active duty for another 3 more months and then he should be switched back to an Air National Guard status (weekend warrior).

Hope he has a safe trip in and that you guys have a great time catching up!!!

It went on for a couple of hours before they finally caught him.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Jacob is still at church camp in Charleston, and we took Elizabeth to play practice last night. While we were waiting, we went by Lowe's and Wal-Mart, and I messed around and bought a new grill. My last one finally gave up last year, after standing under a pecan tree for several years.

This time I bought a stainless steel grill with a cast iron grate inside. Maybe if I put it on the pool deck (out from under a tree) and keep the cover over it, it'll last us a while.

Mmmm, I can taste those grilled turkey dogs and veggie burgers now. LOL

yesterday was the funeral for the 3 Royal Canadian Police officers who were killed by a gunman on June 4th in the line of duty.
In honor of them I am sharing the story with you, Please remember their families who must now carry on without them.

I've been getting my work done around the house this morning and now I'm trying to do some research on the computer before we go to mom's doctor's appointment this afternoon.
