Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a hot day here with a high of 88 degree's. Ugh!!! At least there is talk of a return of the Polar Vortex again around the end of the month. Not a whole lot going on here today. I slept in a little to make up for the sleep I missed this weekend and then I had to run to the store to get some more allergy meds. Now I need to get some stuff done here around the apartment. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
That sounds almost as good as watching QVC all weekend!!!! LOL!!!!
Glad you had a great weekend!!!!!
Thank you!
The afghan isn't necessarily an annual event, but if I make one, I'll be sure to post about it. It's shaping up to be a busy season---we'll see![/QUOTE]
Good luck if you decide to do one!!!
Let me tell you all....This wonderful, nice, humble lady here, is a very, very, very talented person and all of her afghans are expertly made, beautiful and warm. I know, I have two of them and my family just loves them both...... So, if there are any opportunities to get your hands on one of these hand crafted fine pieces of work, do so, for it will give you soooo much comfort and pleasure for those cold/ frosty nights.....
AWESOME!!!
I just turned on "The Wishing Tree"
Stay cool Made!!! Hope your allergies aren't tooo bad!

our news in Toronto announced just now that there is only 156 days till Christmas!
He was doing his report in front of a camera crew that is busy filming a Christmas movie, only he did not say what that movie was.
Good Morning, Fellow Milestone Chasers.
Our new week numbers:
Days to the Season: 115
Days to Christmas Day: 157
Two weeks from tomorrow, Guys.
Our next Milestone marker.
The 100-day Season Window.
Then - double digits to the Season.
<< What does it all mean, Crown?? >>
That we're pulling noticeably nearer, that's what!
The heat and humidity are begining to creep back but it's still really not bad for July here in the south.
Rain likely most every day this week, though. That will add to the dampness.
And hey. We just had our gutters cleaned and repaired and I'm looking forward to a good hard rain test!
We have started off at 75 degrees here in the capital city.
Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
Good Monday morning folks~
Well, here we are to the kick-off of another work week....Oh, I was not ready for that, this morning when my eyes opened up!
I hope you all enjoyed the CIJ event on QVC, this past weekend, as you could see, I was no where's to be found. I got home, all jacked up and ready to watch CIJ and then my lovely wife informed me that we had appointments with the real-estate lady to go look at houses Friday evening and all day Saturday; Bammmmm, there went my plans up in smoke....
All in all though, I did end up liking a couple of the places that we looked at, but no decisions yet...
I was looking in the Hagerstown country almanac last night, I believe, that by the middle of this week, we will have lost 30 minutes of daylight since the middle of June, I'm telling ya folks, it (the time) is going to go by really quickly and before you know it, they will be setting up Fall everything in the stores... I was at Home Depot yesterday, and they were already putting their summer stuff on sale and clearing shelves to get ready for the Fall items. I took a peek in their back receiving area and yup, there it was, Fall items on pallets....
I am so ready for the Fall weather and Halloween.....
Well, I guess I should start to pretend to be doing some work~ I'll check back in after I get some coffee....
Good Monday morning friends. I hope you all had fun with CIJ on QVC. Sorry I could not participate.
I hope you all have a great week!
Good morning all! How everyone is doing well. So ready for autumn! Our heat index yesterday was 115. Yuck! Hope you all have a great day!
Losing all that daylight is one of the hardest things for me as summer winds down. Then it becomes dark on the way to work, dark coming home from work, maybe a little daylight through the office window. After the Christmas lights go off in most places in January, the days really drag until the daylight starts to increase.
There's a house on my way home that has icicle lights year-round. They put them up for the Christmas season, then just leave them in place. Throughout the spring and summer they slowly deteriorate, though, and gaps start to appear. Before Christmas, though, they put up fresh ones. If I'm working late on a summer evening, I can get a smile from seeing those shining icicles.
Here comes Monday! I hope it treats you well!
My day off last Friday was a fizzle. I woke up with an awful headache that made me feel sick, and couldn't get rid of it until late afternoon. I didn't really feel well until later on Saturday. Oh, well. I'd rather have been home feeling sick than at the office!
I have thought to myself, that one day in the future when I'm a lot older, and I cannot physically put out all the Christmas and Halloween decorations any longer, that, if I have a condo or something, I could then put up a strand of Christmas lights outside on a small patio or something, leave them up all year long and just have a couple of small boxes to change out the light bulbs for the seasonal holidays~
Good morning!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I kept myself busy but I popped in from time to time. I just love the QVC banter, you guys are too funny. I was able to watch a little bit here and there. I saw a few things that I liked but I didn't order anything. I wish I could find a part time job that worked for me, I would love to have the extra money to treat myself to things that I want!
Anyway, we are going to have sun and clouds today with a high of 80 degrees. Typical day of errands and chores. The girls all have off from work today which is nice. We are going to get pizza for lunch and then I'm going to do some more dorm shopping my youngest. We did a little bit over the weekend but we still have a lot more to do. She found a wall tapestry from Urban Outfitters that she had to have so I ordered it for her. I want to find her string lights today too, I think that will help to make the room cozy!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
But in the evenings, it feels sort of rustic to me, the cool evenings where you have to put a flannel shirt/ jacket on, the Fall colors all around you, you can sit outside in the evening and the bugs won't carry you away, have bon-fires and your not too hot, and of course, the bounty of the vegetable garden coming into a full abundance, all in preparation for the winter months ahead~
It's nuts! I keep thinking back to when I left for college out of state and wondering if my mother thought the same thing. LOL "I don't care if the law says you're legally an adult or not! You're still my baby! Now sit back down and finish watching Winnie the Pooh!!"
Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
I hope I didn't miss anything important over the weekend, you guys did some serious QVC chatting!
My cousin has a vacation home at the coast, so I went with him Saturday to "test the repairs" on his boat. It was a good excuse to get out of the house and on the water. We had a great time just cruising, watching the porpoises swim alongside the boat. We ate a bellyful of shrimp for lunch, then cruised some more till a storm came up. We took the boat out of the water and hung out at his place till it cleared up. Then we washed the boat and came home. It was super!
Ed is not only my 1st cousin, but my best friend. We've played together in the band since we were teenagers, and we used to do almost everything together. Then life got busy with marriage and kids. I'm glad we're finally getting to do some things together again.
I hope y'all have a great day!
Hmm, when you put the tea bags in the tea jar and then turn around and put it in the fridge instead of out on the porch, I think it's a sign that you need a nap.
You can actually make cold-brew iced tea that way! Leave the jar in the fridge overnight. I haven't tried it, but I've heard of it.
