Good morning,

We may not be at the lake, but I don't work again until Monday. We will probably use today as a recovery day, but I still have to mow my hayfield in this 90+ degree day.
I was thinking back to "breaks" (I did pop in for a quick hello cheesy ) from MMC, this vacation was probably the longest I have been away from here since the freak October snowstorm in 2011 when we lost power for 5 days.

I best go start my day.

Have a great one!

Enjoy your days off xmas!
Have a Happy Wednesday!!!

Good morning!
We will have sun and clouds today with temperatures around 85 degrees. Storms will be passing through later this evening.
I'm tired of dorm shopping! I need to head back to Bed, Bath & Beyond today. I'm going to pick up a few of those under bed storage boxes for my daughter. I was by myself yesterday and the cart was so full, I couldn't fit them in. I'm also going to pick up a few more things at Target for her and she told me she wants to hang up firefly string lights in her dorm room so I added that to the list. I should probably look online for them and save myself the trouble of driving around. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Oh and my husband and I need to work on the financial aid stuff again. We ran in to problems last night, it was too late to call customer service so we gave up. We have such bad luck with that stuff, there's always an issue. So we'll try again tonight.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Stay safe in the storms tonight!
Good luck with the dorm room shopping, and financial aid paperwork.
Have a wonderful day, friend!!

Did I say I don't want school to start??? Hurry and start! Ha ha! It was just a bit overwhelming yesterday and those days will happen! I just wasn't feeling real well and my grandkid's parents had a very long 10 hour day at their jobs so that means the kids were here that long. We didn't get out of the house yesterday so it was cabin fever and too hot to play outside. Hey! I am not going to focus on the few meltdowns but report the fun we did have! We did some art projects, watched some TV together, baked brownies and played with shaving cream. I cleared the dining room table off and sprayed a bunch of shaving cream all over it and they had a blast, it cleans the table too! It's also nice because it finally just dissolve away and not too messy! I took a picture of them playing in it and sent it to my daughter. She replied back, "Hey, I remember doing that when we were little"! So with all that in mind I will focus on the fun we had! We will probably get out and do something fun today. 10 hours is just too long to hang out inside the house.

Good evening,

We got home earlier this afternoon, it was tough to leave the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, weather was perfect, food was great, just never have enough time to see everything you want to see. My wife and I have been together for 15 years, this was our 9th trip to Lake George, and we keep discovering new things to do.
When we got home, we tried to turn on our laptop, and nothing. Our laptop seems to be dead, I have been using my Kindle to catch up here and surf the web.

I hope you all enjoyed your day.

Good night, everyone.

So happy to hear you had a good time and perfect weather.

I'm sure you've already tried this, but anyway ... Have you tried plugging in the laptop, leaving it for a while, and then trying again to turn it on? Maybe the battery is so far down it won't power up until it charges for a while. I hope it's not really dead.

I hope the financial situation works out for you!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope all is well! For some reason I cannot fully load the pages on this site, and it is the only site it is happening on, so I have no idea what I have missed. Praying for all of you!

A very hot and muggy day here with severe thunderstorms likely for tonight. The talk is of heavy downpours and wind damage. I was up until 5:30 this morning, could not sleep whatsoever, and was up before the alarm went off. My cousin stopped over last night and brought me a bag of birthday food and I did eat a piece of cake so the sugar along with the humidity was probably the reason I couldn't sleep. Hopefully the storms tonight will cool things way, way down!

All is well here otherwise. The garden is growing and soon I will be able to pick broccoli and peppers. Already harvested kale twice and even sent some home with my cousin. Love having enough produce to share with others!

The kittens are growing fast! I have named the two chocolate tabbies Bogart and Claws and the little grey is called Lacy, as she is Lucy's little sidekick.

Chores are waiting. Be safe and MERRY!!!

:sparkle:

I didn't realize you had some kittens! Very cute names! Do you have pictures of them?

I have never heard of the shaving cream thing! How FUN!!
Sounds like some wonderful memories made again yesterday!
Hope things cool down again for you unexpectedly. An early FALL maybe?!

(((Hugs)))

Nothing special to report ... but it looks like it's going to be a busy day at the office. A temp proofreader just came in. No one told me it was going to be a two-proofreader day! Better brace myself and have some tea!

Just as long as you don't buy the moisturizing shaving cream! I bought that once, it was a mess and everything was greasy. Ha ha! Just buy the cheap plain stuff and they play and play until it all dissolves away. Clean table and clean hands! They just rinse off with water afterward. =)

Have a great day and just hearing from you is a special report! =)

LOL!!

Any type of table? As long as it's not moisturizing?! ;)

Made, I can't find the post right now but I did read it last night - I was just WAY TOO TIRED to reply back. Thanks a lot for your suggestion of coming up there when the kids go back to school to wash your dishes. That's all I am doing now since they have been out of school!

You know what though?! My 4 year old granddaughter kept asking if she can wash the dishes. I finally let her yesterday - no heavy pots and pans or knives! I filled up the sink with warm soapy water and she did a really good job washing them! Probably a better job than me because she spent so much time cleaning each dish. She was having so much fun too and kept asking to wash them all day! Yay! Now I have a dishwasher!!! =) I had 4 sink loads of dishes throughout the day and then my grandsons joined in on the "fun". I am glad they they think it's fun! :D

I guess it doesn't matter what type of table. This is a wooden dining room table that belonged to my grandmother, it's probably 60-70 years old and it didn't hurt it. It's like cleaning the table with mild soap and water. It dissolves to almost nothing but there is a slight residue so just wipe it down with a wet rag when finished. I cannot guarantee this on all surfaces but it did fine on my table and on any table we had when my kids were little.

Thank you so much! My husband is addicted to Houzz, that's where he gets most of his ideas. The stone for the counter tops should be here next week. My husband still has to decide what he's going to do on the back splash. We're also trying to find a new chandelier. Oh and there is going to be a window seat under that window that you see. I promise I'll post pictures when it's finished.

Well Houzz has done well for him/you! That is so pretty! Looking fwd to the seeing pics when it's all done! I love Houzz too! We also need to decide on our backsplash. We are going to do tile of some kind, just not exactly sure what yet! :) Good luck!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's another hot, humid day here in south Georgia...what else is new, eh? The a/c in the main office is still down, but the guy is here to (hopefully) fix it. My office trailer is still the hub of popularity!

Elizabeth is in the second week of a two-week intensive ballet camp, on top of her regular ballet classes AND Oliver Twist rehearsals. I know she love it, but the poor thing is getting tired. Tonight, she and her BFF are spending the night with another girl in the class that they like, so I won't see her again until 10pm tomorrow.

I hope to be getting a haircut in the next hour or two. I'm starting to look a little bushy. And I haven't shaved for a few days, trying to get the "dangerous" look. It's unlikely to work...LOL!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Brad-
Hope Elizabeth has fun tonight! Bless her heart, she is so passionate about what she loves. Admirable!

Stay cool! Hope the AC gets fixed at work, so you can have your trailer back ;)

Have fun with your dangerous look! I'm scared even to reply to you! Haha!

Just got a Weather alert from the National Weather Service;

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE DEVELOPING AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

A FEW OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALIZED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND LARGE HAIL.

Looks like we could have some wild weather action happening around here later on this afternoon or evening.... I realize that this may not be one of the brightest things to do, but I actually like to sit out on the porch and watch the storms, it's kind of exciting....
