Thanks, I am.
I've been looking at old photos for the past couple of hours. I have boxes of them, I wish they were all on my computer. I'm still thinking about opening a Facebook account and I would like to use a few of the older pictures. Some of them are priceless, especially the ones of the kids. Anyway, it will be a good project for me to work on when I have the time!
xx

Sounds really nice [emoji171]
I love going through mine, too. Brings back a lot of memories.

Sorry your day was long! The reunion sounds like fun...1881! WOW! Sleep tight!

I just learned that I am a 12th generation? (don't know if that is the right term) American, A portion of my family moved from England to the general area where I live now all the way back in 1633.

Have y'all seen this video of a bear walking around on two legs?! That would freak me out! It looks like bigfoot when it gets in the woods!

That is so weird, it just doesn't look right.

Yeah, with everything going on, I haven't made it in to harbor freight lately. My favorite cashier may have forgot me!! LOL!!!

Don't worry those of us retail warriors never forget the customers that drive us crazy. cheesy

Hi everyone! :) Just got back from the 4H fair and now I NEED chickens!! And a goat.. and sheep... lol

Original recipe for me please!!! cheesy

Those fairs are fun to go to, we are thinking of signing LC up for 4H, he is a little nature boy and loves helping with my wife's garden. He knows plants just by looking at them.

Back then your area was the Wild West! You have adventurous ancestors.

Some of my folks were early settlers of Maryland. Someday I'll do some genealogical digging. I inherited some family Bibles, so I have some names and dates to start out with, going back to the early to mid-1800s, I think.

The family genealogy website has a list of 36,040 family members traced back to one man, Thomas Holcombe. He would've been my Greatx9 grandfather, it is truly fascinating to whom I could be related to including some Presidents, if I am reading the site correctly.

That is cool!!! I'm not sure exactly when we came over. I should ask my great aunt. She has been working on our family tree for years now and I don't know how far back she has made it.

Goodnight, MMC!! [emoji92][emoji287][emoji294]️

Morning all!! the weather got alot worse here last night, the rain became really heavy and persistant! We are quite lucky that we live at the top of a hill but alot of peoples houses flooded real bad :( also my old work colleagues told me the hospital ground level flooded really bad aswell. my heart goes out to the people who had to evacuate their homes last night and who will be going back to asses the damage this morning.

Also we are expected to be hit again tomorrow, more heavy rain and winds from sunday through till monday :(

The sun is shining today though, so going to do afew chores this morning then take the girls out and run to the shops for a few bits so I dont have to go out the next few days if its bad.

Hope this finds everyone well xx

Thanks, CAH!! We haven't had much date time lately, so we're going to try & make up for that! :)

Hope you & Wayne have a nice weekend!

Wayne and I only get every Saturday together that we don't have to work or let anything else gets in the way. I love every minute of it even if we sit and watch paint dry together it is a good date day with him.

Enjoy your time together this weekend!!!

That is so cool! My grandfather, on my dad's side, is from Germany but I never met him because he passed away when my dad was only 16 years old. I have relatives from there but never met them or know of anyway to contact them. My dad never met any of them either since his dad came to the USA alone. Trackrebel, being from Germany, has actually helped me and found a news article on my grandpa, it was regarding him being a champion swimmer when he was younger. It's a link from Germany and I was unable to do that search from here but she found it! It's a small step but I will keep digging for more info!

My cousin got so excited about this news article because he has been doing competitive swimming since he was real little, got a scholarship to college and has traveled the world competing. He had no idea his grandfather was a competitive swimmer too!

Enjoy your search on your family history!
