Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I started the morning pouting because I didn't get my way yesterday, then, without any knowledge of my bad attitude, a wonderful friend's PM reminded me of all that I have to be thankful for. Thanks, Christmasstar!!

We have another group of Georgia Power engineers visiting today, so I'm trying to get some of my regular worked knocked out as soon as I can.

Good evening,

Long night here, the three of us guys got "kicked" out if the house for a few hours so my wife could have a Lia Sophia Jewelry party. I took the boys out for some mini-golf and ice cream to get away from the estrogen-fest.
Day off tomorrow, I will be visiting my grandmother. She wants to give me her Santa collection tomorrow, it is truly bittersweet. I would rather have her keep them, but she wants to be sure I get them now. I am struggling with this whole situation.

I am still feeling lousy, but a little better than I have been, the long day at work and then taking the boys out wiped me out.

I feel for both of you! I have been without a kitchen since January, but Hubby is making progress. He just got the roof on the new part with some more roofing to do on the old part. We hoped to be in by Thanksgiving, but delays will probably push it to Easter. I am positive it will be worth it, though!

Oh my! January! You are the woman ~ with an awesome attitude! Here's hoping you are in by Thanksgiving!!!

Keeping you in my prayers, Ryan. My younger brother passed away in July, so I understand your feelings of sadness.

I am so sorry to hear that Seawaters!! That's so hard! Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers!

Dinner was SO good tonight: pork roast in the crockpot with carrots and onions, covered with Cola Q by Sweet Baby Ray. Buttery mashed potatoes rounded out the meal. Tomorrow night will be pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw, applewood bacon baked beans, pickles, and chips.

This sounds amazing!!! And now my belly is growling! :smile:

With my cancer meds, I have insomnia; but I will try to get to sleep anyway!

Hope you were able to get some sleep!!!

I'd get all kinds of dirty looks from the neighbors if I tried to cut the grass on Sunday...I learned that quickly! :lol: I make him watch out for that heart. I learned that one, too!

Why would you get dirty looks for mowing on Sunday? lol

Do you remember when Wayne was put in the hospital for 4 days due to a-fib several years back? He has been fine since and has been under doctor's care ever since. He has an appointment with the cardiologist in a couple of weeks. Every appointment looks good but you are right, he needs to be very careful! The heat here is dangerous for everyone but can really be hard on those with health conditions. I know you know about heat, you suffer the same there!

I am about to go mow the lawn. Wayne was going to do it Sunday after church and I put my foot down for him not to because by the time church lets out the temps were going to be dangerously too hot - 100+. I worry about his heart because he does have a heart condition that is under control with meds but not sure he should be mowing with temps so high. I told him I will get it done during the week when the temps drop a little. Today's high will only be 94 - thank goodness!!! Right now it's 78 degrees so it's a good time to get it done.

I am trying to give him a break but work is not giving him one this week, they have him coming in early all week. Always thankful to have a job though! =)
