Hope you are all doing well! Cannot believe that summer has flown by so quickly..I am looking forward to the fall and my kids start school next week so that is a good thing. Get them back in that routine.

Good afternoon all. Well our only child is now off to college. We moved him this past weekend. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. He is only a 3 hour drive away but it seems like the other side of the world. The house seems like a morgue.

The good news is I can now join in on the countdown. It had been very depressing as the countdown meant we were closer to Ethan leaving for college. The Christmas season will be extra special this year. He will be home 5 days for Thanksgiving and almost the whole month of December. I look forward to again being part of the countdown.

I know how hard it is to have your child move out. My daughter just moved a mile away from us when she was ready to get out on her own, I didn't like it but of course I supported it, she's a grown lady. It's just so hard to see them grow up and leave the house!

Good luck to your son on his new adventure. I know the holidays will be so nice when he is able to visit!

One appointment down and one to go. The neurologist is this afternoon. He uses the same doctors office as the podiatrist that did mom's two foot surgeries. So this waiting room doesn't bring back the best of memories. LOL!!!

Oh my goodness, that is not fun. I have been glutened on a couple of occasions after eating out. I assume it was from cross contamination since I am very strict about eating gluten free. I felt like I had the flu for a couple of days, it's just awful. I'm so glad you're feeling better (((hugs)))

Exactly! I always feel like I am coming down with the flu when I get a hold of something I am allergic to. Of course, wheat/gluten is another one I am allergic to. That allergy reaction is worse than the dairy. Blah!

We have been having ongoing issues with the internet in our house. We have another worker coming back here this afternoon, I really hope they can figure out what's going on. We keep getting text messages from Verizon letting us know that we are way over on our data allowance. I'm afraid to get the cell phone bill this month. Anyway, I'm heading out soon to have my hair cut & colored. Than back home to wait for the cable guy. I'll pop back in later. I hope everyone has a nice day!

We have been having ongoing issues with the internet in our house. We have another worker coming back here this afternoon, I really hope they can figure out what's going on. We keep getting text messages from Verizon letting us know that we are way over on our data allowance. I'm afraid to get the cell phone bill this month. Anyway, I'm heading out soon to have my hair cut & colored. Than back home to wait for the cable guy. I'll pop back in later. I hope everyone has a nice day!

Good Morning, MMC!! It's going to be hot and humid again here today with temps closing in on that 90 degree mark. Then storms firing up again this evening. Hopefully we won't lose power like we did last night though. Not to much on my agenda today. Just working around the house. I'll be back in a bit to get caught up. Well, summer finally arrived. Two straight days of 98 degrees and I'm ready for some leaves to turn colors and things to cool off! Getting late...better head to bed. Hope everyone is doing great.

BTW, anyone heard when pumpkin spice lattes will start being sold at Starbucks?

Be sure to call Verizon. I know with AT&T we went over our data allowance once and they worked with us on knocking the bill down by adding a new plan. Came out cheaper than paying all the extra per data usage. I am sure Verizon will do the same for you.

I woke up feeling great yesterday then about an hour after I posted that on here I started feeling awful again and it continued all day long. Even feeling bad we all managed to get out of the house, my mom, grandkids and I all went to the Perot Museum for their Dinosaur Exhibit and 3D movie before it ends September 1st. We had a good time even though I wasn't feeling too great.

My brother has asked me to help him sell a race engine on the internet, so I posted it in a racing buy/sell/trade site, and there's already a buyer. But this guy in a sailor at sea, and he wants to use Paypal to pay for it, and send a courier to pick it up.

I've used Paypal to pay for things before, but never used it to collect. And 6this guy is in a hurry to buy it before anyone else buys it, so he's insisting that we take the ad down and get this going. But I'm going out of town! Grrrr.

I'll post again from Crown's neck of the woods. Actually, it's a pretty long ride the Raleigh from Charlotte, but it's the same state, anyway. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

August 25th!!!!!!!

The weather at the beach wasn't the best. Rather warm and humid with a heavy rain or two.
But we got done what we planned and it's always nice to inspect after the rental season and
find that everything is ship shape. We likely won't go back again until early October.
Today, we have begun here at 73 degrees.
