Once again, thank you all.

It was a rough day today, lots of tears shed. The wake and funeral won't be until Sunday & Monday. My grandfather is struggling, he has said he wished it was him that went first. He stayed with my grandmother all day yesterday holding her hand the whole day while she was in a coma, he didn't get up once, even to use the restroom. I am at such a loss right now.

My sister will be coming in on Friday, it has been a few years since we've seen her. I just wish it was under different circumstances.

Good afternoon!
The morning flew by so fast for me. My daughter had a routine doctor appointment earlier and we ended up having to wait in the office for a long time. Then I ran a few errands and got some chores done around the house. I tried to log on here early this morning before I went out but I'm still having Internet problems. I'm so annoyed because I really need to get on to my daughters college website to do a few things. I'm going to give our cable company a call and see what they have to say. My husband is too busy to deal with it, he's still trying to get his shop back up and running after the flooding last week. My neighbor directly across the street is still pumping water out of his basement. It's crazy. Anyway, I think I'm going to run to Staples now and pick up a few boxes to start packing my daughters stuff. I'll pop back in when I can. I hope everyone is well and enjoys the rest of the day!

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a hot, stormy day here with a good chance of finally breaking that 90 degree mark for the first time this summer. Boo!! Nothing to big on the agenda today. Just staying inside this morning and then I may have to take mom to get her ultrasound this afternoon if my sister can't go with her. I just have to wait and see. I should probably try to get some sleep too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Good morning everyone. Just saw the Old Farmers Almanac forecast for the upcoming winter. We live in the far west of NC. Only about 5 miles from the TN line, (as the crow flies). I sure hope their forecast is right for us. They are calling for much below norm temps and slightly above normal snow. That would be a perfect winter, cold & snow. Here is a link to their forecast.

Our son's new glasses just came in so the wife & I have the perfect excuse to drive down to Gardner Webb Univ this weekend and see him.

[Holiday]

Yesterday was bitter sweet. I had all my grandchildren over yesterday for the last time this summer. Their dad is off work for a few days and they start school on Monday. I will miss not having them all the time but then again this will be a chance to catch up on things around the house.

My mom treated us all to Mexican food yesterday so we all enjoyed a big lunch and had a great time. I felt a lot better yesterday and had a good appetite.

It's not like I will never see the kids again! I will be keeping them after school until their parents get off work. I will just miss not being able to do the fun things like we have been doing all summer long. They will get vacation days and we always have our special Christmas outing each year with each child.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!!

No such luck! Started at 10:00 & poured & poured & poured....they got 2 of the walls built but not up! They are laying on the floor to the new room, getting rained on! ;-) At least they made some progress before the rain!

How exciting! Bet your island & cabinets are beautiful!!
