I just had some distressing news from my mum back home. Some people have vandalised our family home. They have broken all the windows during the middle of the night. They are not sure what the motive is. She lives abroad , I can't get over there and I feel so overwhelmed. I have to go to the clinic now with Isaac, I need to pull my self together. Please pray for my family's protection.

Merry Morning! How was your evening. I put the boys down a little earlier than usual and then watched part of the Golden Globes and some shows.

This morning Isaac has his 2yr assessment with the health clinic. We live just around the corner from it so that will be easy. I am looking forward to it because I have been slightly concerned about his level of speech for his age. He speaks baby talk a lot but he is not saying proper words yet. I am sure it is nothing to worry about though. In fact in the last week he has attempted ''abbul'' (apple) and ''shu'' (shoe) . This was a huge encouragement for me so it's only a matter of time. It will be nice to have the health adviser re assure me. I am not overly worried but well you know what I mean. I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks for listening

DS isn't feeling very well today - he was up all night with a really bad cough, high fever, flu-like symptoms. His fever broke, but if his fever comes back, we'll have to take and make sure he doesn't have the flu. There's been over 250 cases in my county, with mine the second leading in Pa. Hopefully with him drinking fluids and taking medicine, the fever will stay down.

I hope he feels better! There's nothing worse to me than a fever, but I'm a wimp. If I get to 98.7°, I've called in sick at work, and I'm in the bed with several quilts.

Good morning!
We are expecting rain for most of the day with a high of 45 degrees.
My daughters car went in for service today so I will be driving her to and from school and work. She has a taillight out, my husband said it isn't the bulb so he has to have someone look at it. The car is also due for an inspection and oil change. Might as well get it all out of the way today.
The dogs also have a groomer appointment in a little while. I am going to run to the supermarket for a few things while they are there. And my mother said she may take a ride over this afternoon to see the girls, hopefully she'll catch them when they are all here. That is hard to do lately. Other than that, I just have my daily chores.

Good evening,

Winding down, I am tired after a long day at work, watching "Major League" that movie is such a classic.
Tonight is my last night with my trees up, I am going to miss them for the next 10 months. I have to shut off the outside lights for the final time this season in a few minutes. I have been clinging to them longer than I ever have in the past, but it is time. I have been slowly weening myself off of all Christmas all the time to going back to The Move, The Beatles, and all my other faves with some Christmas mixed in.

I must get ready for bed.

Good (wet!) Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Gosh, it's really raining! I work in an office trailer outside the main office, but I'm constantly walking between the two. Even an umbrella doesn't always help while carrying files. Yuck!

I have to go to a meeting requested by the county commission this evening. Such a pain in the rumpus. Those guys pay themselves every time they meet (I disagree with any salary for part-time elected officials), but it's just time away from my family, for me. I guess I shouldn't have run for office, if I didn't want to attend meetings, eh? :lol:

Christmasstar, you asked about goals. Since I try to eat healthy all year I want to successfully grow a veggie garden! I want to grow my own food for a change! I seem to kill my gardens! It irritates me that I work for a place that we sell and educate people how to grow veggies and I cannot seem to have any success! Meceka can teach me about canning after harvest! :wink:

I want to get everything single thing in my house organized and stay that way! Most areas of my house are well organized but a few spots are a wreck with junk I don't need! Like a couple of closets and cabinets. I can shut the door on those and try to ignore it but it annoys me it's like that! Ha ha!

I exercise through the year but want to step that up a bit and do more outdoor activities as the weather will allow. Bike riding! I will have to put a hold on it during the summer since everyone drops over with heat strokes here during that time. Blah!

These are not big goals like opening a business, going to school or things like that but just little things I want to do this year! Baby steps. =)
